Oh damn, that hasn't happened to me yet. Yah the pinching thing is a killer for me, I've already done that a couple of times but yah, if you can't blow over a hundred bucks for the Insta360 this is really the alternative lol
I've had the Insta360 version for a while with my X3. I actually researched before buying and decided it wasn't worth the trouble just to save $50. I figure I'll be using this stick for 5+ years and I can buy a few less lattes to make up for it. I was interested in this review mostly to see how the X4 works on the stick. I know it's not much heavier, but the weight is at the end of a 3 meter stick. Seems to work well. I'm thinking of eventually upgrading to the X4. Oh, about odd rules: our local Six Flags park wouldn't even allow me to carry in my little Ulanzi MT16 tabletop tripod because they thought it could be used as a weapon. However they allowed steel insulated water bottles attached to carrying straps. If I wanted to use one of them as a weapon I don't think I'd choose the tabletop tripod.
I got the FSAYAML aluminum 3 meter for $39.99 on Amazon. It's very light, and being aluminum it doesn't bend. I don't like the twist lock style, but it was a lot cheaper than the Insta360 and I don't know why the one from Insta360 is so fat and ugly. This one I got copied the styling of the regular selfie stick exactly, and the girth in your hand isn't that much different either compared to the regular Insta version.
Haven't seen that one, but I have that same version in a shorter size. I'm guessing the Carbon Fiber is tougher. I've had aluminum selfie sticks and they do bend. Not sure why the Insta360 is thicker, could be just because the design is more rugged. The Camnoon one feels flimsy to me but I haven't had any issues with it after many uses.
@@MiyagisRant I shouldn't say that it doesn't bend at all. I can only say that I didn't notice it bending, but I will do a proper test as you did and report back! 🤔👍
I have the same cheap Camnoon and used my RS one inch and it was worse than garbage. When forcing back in it shoves the bottom out lol

@@MiyagisRant oh I agree with that and don’t have it fully out now because the heavier R/S one inch is also too heavy for it
