I'm also very happy to see William Navarro whom I helped get noticed/discovered while he was playing with Panathinaikos in Greece and return back to Philippines maturing and becoming the player that he is after playing with both San Bedas and Ateneo and finally getting drafted to the PBA.. Nalagpasan na ni Chiu sa galing mga PBA all-star centers like Eram, Fajardo and Aguilar. Chiu is poised, has good feel and touch around the basket. Strength training na lang kulang. He can also shoot mid range kasi maganda free throws nya.
Si Erram puro error at foul magrereklamo pa sa ref eh halata naman foul talaga. Si Chiu kahit medyo mabagal maganda positioning at masipag magbox out.
He is also not as stupid as PBA players on foul.

I wanna ask why is there two different squad for the Philippines. I realized their younger team with a different coach played much better in the world cup qualifiers. More tactical plays instead of this team that mostly plays 1 on 1 matchup.
This is more of like the basketball federation changing coach and that new coach inserting is favorite players no matter how incompatible they are with the team.

Something is really not right in Gilas system right now. More on the coaching ang management of the team. They know that Fiba Asia has becoming more challenging but the management did not add a quality naturalized big man, which is badly needed by our team.
If this keeps going, I doubt they can even reach the semis. Even reaching the quarterfinals will be a tough hurdle for this team.

Baldwin had major wins with his young team. SBP removed Baldwin because PBA teams wouldn't lend players if he is the coach. Now that Baldwin"s gone from the national team, you still sent non PBA players to the Asia Cup. That literally defeats the purpose of removing Baldwin from the program.😂
