I thought Korea will win because Gilas team is composed of non-PBA players. I was wrong, these young Pinoys are disciplined to execute coach Baldwin's gameplan. Congratulations to the Philippines!
the height really played a big role in defeating korea. the naturalize of Korea cannot make good shots with Taller guy like Kai sotto guarding him.
But still produced 24 points and collected 15 rebounds compared to the combined output of Kai and Ange. Kudos parin kay kuya Cardo.

Coach Tab has a lot of haters, mainly from the top officials and execs of the PBA. Deep down, every Filipino basketball fan knows that Tab Baldwin is the best coach in the PH right now. If only the PBA could stop with the politicking. Imagine? The best players in the best system possible? Pipe dream. In any case, future is bright with this team. For the players, if possible, don’t play in the PBA and just play overseas, it’ll be much better for your career. Congrats, Gilas! On to the next one.

When PBA started in the 70”s that’s when Philippine basketball lost grip of basketball supremacy in Asian championship, but it’s different now, there are more avenues for players to play professionally either in the Philippines or overseas.
@Asham abdul Abubakkar I was specifically talking about this young batch of Gilas players. If there are more teams in the PBA, sure, they can stay if they want to as there’ll be more chances of them to get significant playing time. At the current state, though, do you think that’ll be possible? Not sure. Heck, even Tungcab who is barely used got an offer from a Japanese Division 2 team. Honestly, I think that if any of these young guns get drafted by an SMC team in the PBA, and if Tab is still the coach, chances of them suiting up for the national team are slim to none; if you know what I mean. That’s the scarier part.

They should try every way possible to play anywhere else. Even playing in South America would even be better LOL. PBA just looks like a pedestrian version of the NBA and tries to cater to entertainment than quality basketball.
