Small theaters rock! I used to work at the Rosebud and Times Cinema in Milwaukee. It's where I met my good friend Matt who now runs the Towne Cinema in Watertown -- which is who I found this video through! Best of luck with the theater, I hope I can visit sometime in the near future.
You make great points.Ive always wanted to own an independent movie theatre/drive-in.Just make sure you offer carnivore friendly snacks like pork rinds & jerky
Another great episode, I’m glad you brought up these topics and I’m very happy you only show 3 trailers before the movie. Im sure your customers enjoy coming out to your theater each time, especially when you offer free popcorn at the end of the night and ask about the movie, that common courtesy goes a long way 👍
It's great that the theater is thriving. What's happening at the homestead, anything new. I enjoyed watching the video and your right about working hard
Wow! just watched this. So relevant. The little rural theatres here in New Zealand have survived. The big multiplexes are still doing great business though. Your Theatre reminds me of the little one in Kerikeri, which is going strong and screens 3 or 4 different films each week including Art House films. It was used historically as a dance hall and picture theatre when it was first built and still retains the charm. Go you, and your gorgeous family.
Guys! I started going to the movies again after a decade because of your inspirational videos. I’m now loving my little rural 3 screen theatre with $5! tickets here in northern VT. ❤
Love your theater! ❤📽🎟🎞Wish there was a theater like yours in our town! We can't afford the prices here but maybe once or twice a year! (PREMIERE LUX 10) Your inserted movie clip comments were so funny! 🤗🤣
Loved your videos. I've just started a carnivore diet and you give a lot of good information on how a carnivore diet can help restore good health and what you eat on a carnivore diet.. I've just had a Lupus diagnosis and I'm in my 70s so it gives me hope. I know drugs are not going to help. Keep what youre doing. Regards Australia.
Not sure how your video showed up in my feed, but glad it did. Awesome to hear that the theater is doing well. I got the chance to go while passing through town. I was hiking the Ice Age Trail in 2018. There was a huge flood that year and I’m just happy they let foot traffic across the bridge. I stayed in a little motel and then saw a movie at your theater.
Btw, when I hiked the Appalachian Trail I also went to a couple independently owned small town theaters in Luray and Front Royal Virginia. They were great! Inexpensive and customer focused.
THE BEAUTIFUL HISTORIC THEATRE IN NORWALK OHIO IS NEGLECTED AND THEY JUST TOOK THE LIGHTED SIGNS DOWN RECENTLY. SOMEONE TRIED TO BRING IT BACK AND FAILED. IT USED TO BE A THRIVING OLACE WHERE PLAYS WERE RUN EVERY WEEKEND AND THEY HAD BANDS AND MOVIES. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. SUCH A SHAME THAT PEOPLE JUST DONT CARE ANYMORE. THEY WOULD RATHER SIT IN THEIR LIVING ROOMS!
I saw Avatar 2. $20.00! For 1 ticket. Needless to say I did not get any refreshments and the movie was so loud that I got up and asked if they could turn it down. They said they would. They didn't. I had to put my fingers in my ears. It wasn't a good experience to say the least
What an awesome idea! You should do a 1980s and 1990s theme night....ask people to dress like the time. We have a local theatre and they told me they have no choice but to play the woke weird movies. They can't do throwback movies etc. :(
You have some good ideas, I don't live anywhere near your theater but checked your website and disappointed to see that you show on-screen ads. Those cheapen the movie experience, and the CURTAINS should be closed before the show starts! It doesn't appear you're showing Ant-Man in 3D either. Any 3D movie should be shown in 3D. I used to work in the business running film projectors, I gave up for a number of reasons but the main reasons why I don't go to theaters now are: not all showings for 3D movies are actually in 3D and there shouldn't be an upcharge for it, pre-movie commercials, and screens not being properly masked for the movie being shown (any time I see a movie without proper screen masking, I simply don't return to that theater). I agree the lights should be off during the trailers, but they should also not come up during the end credits!
We show trivia and on screen ads. Trivia for 90% on screen ads for 10% pre-show. We do this to keep our ticket prices down. All tickets are $5 all the time most places charge twice what we do. Our guests prefer the on screen ads VS paying higher ticket and concession costs. You have some good ideas but if we implemented them all our costs would go up prohibitively
hunger grows when eating. when a person gets a taste for money. a person will do anything to get more. that's why you should never make money out of a desire to get rich. do what you need to do to live the rest of your life even if there are problems. leave the rest to others. greed is man's best friend these days and has been a rising craze for a long time. which will also destroy people.
Wife and I took the kids to movies all the time, But Hollywood has turned into a bunch of cry baby Pedophiles!!! I haven't watched TV or Movies years. Would not waste my time and effort to see another . Popcorn was great though!!

Glad you enjoyed it!
I live a hometown movie theater! I frequent the local hometown theater as much as I can.

Thanks Mary! The honestead has been ok, really looking forward to spring, warm weather and building out our garden!
The video message is GREAT! But I LOVED the movie cuts!
Well that's, like, your opinion, man :)

Thank you, I'd love to visit some other little theaters like you mentioned!
a small gain forward is a big leap to the top

Awesome, love to hear it and thete ate some great movies coming out this year!
I agree about the cost of the big chains! It's ridiculous! And forget the popcorn and pop!

Awesome, sounds like an amazing adventure!
I’m new to your channel. I wish your Theater was in my town.
Thank you for doing this!
10:00 my last trip to cinemark in February 2024 zone of interest showed near 60 trailers.
Great video! Glad the movie theater is working out well for y'all. :)
Thanks so much!!
Maybe I will have to drive to Watertown for my next movie. I am in Milwaukee.
I definitely think the CEOs should have to work entry level position for like a month every year, then maybe they wouldn't make such dumb decisions
A lot of them don't even watch movies at their theaters.
I like going to the movies but this year I have not found a single film I would pay money to see and last year only found 2 films.

get rid of the movies on the smart tv
if you get to choose what plays on the big screen, then id choose your theater over the propaganda pushers.

if you want to just support a small theater you can just buy the popcorn
