I loved the interview part at the beginning! It's so nice to hear a lolita give their two cents on the fashion before seeing what they have in their closet. It gives more dimension to it. It is also an element to frame lolita as a hobby, other than just clothes you wear. Super enjoyable, thank you!
Just wanted to start out by saying you guys are really cool! Old school has my heart, so the emily temple cute and meta pieces are my absolute favorites, especially the ones in gobelin and camo. But Prince truly does have an amazing wardrobe altogether! I love the floral prints on the Mary Magdalene pieces, and I also found myself drawn to the grey and black Sheglit OPs. The nun OP and white meta OP are truly iconic! This was a real treat to see, and I really appreciate the well-executed and fun Q&A!
We'd really love to film together again! We always talk about it and just end up chatting or watching a movie when we hang lol but we'll try and get to it !
Thanks for interviewing me, it was a lot of fun to talk to you about classic & gothic lolita! (Also wow I sure use a lot of hand gestures when I speak lmao I am only noticing this about me now)
Loved all the detail shots and hearing stories about each piece! Classic and goth pieces have such and underestimated beauty and I hope more people can appreciate it!
I follow Prince on IG and have always hoped he would do a wardrobe post someday so this is really exciting to see! So many absolutely stunning pieces, and you asked such great questions. I think a lot of (maybe less experienced) sweet lolitas don't tend to have a good grasp of what classic is or fall into the assumption that it's too normie or boring and don't even give it a second look which makes me sad. It was really nice to see a sweet lolita who understands classic giving it some attention. Also i think VM does do some custom lace in that more modern pieces, I have a couple of blouses from them which has little VM initials in the lace, it's super pretty! And that long floral skirt Prince has I also have in blue which I believe also has it too. There's little VM initials in it.
Aw that's so sweet, I'm glad you enjoyed the video~ I definitely wanted to feature classic on my channel at some point, it's such a beautiful style and I agree a lot of sweets dont really '''get it''' lol. And wow, that's so cool to hear about VM's custom lace! I never noticed that detail, thanks for letting us know
Me too! Even though I don't wear old school, the vibes of it definitely inspire me! And what a cute way to remember how its pronounced, thanks for the tip ~
I'm fascinated by lolita subculture, even tho I wouldn't wear it, I think Prince's style is the one style I would wear. Of all the influencers, imo Prince has the best taste, best cords, eye for color and so on. I find most Lolita styles too cartoonish and campy, but Prince's style is most grounded and a believable modern translation of historical Rococo. I think a person from the Rococo era would wear whatever Prince put them into lol. THe cord Prince put you in in the next video was sooo perfect for you too
I was really surprised, I saw this video a couple rows up and had to resist skipping ahead to it as I wanted to view in chrono-order; I was expecting to see more outfits closer to what I like as your earlier examples of Classic were making me think it was my preference. While a few of the dresses stood out I really wasn't as drawn to them as I thought I'd be but in fairness I think it also has to do with seeing them on hangers as opposed to being worn. It's likely if Prince had showcased them worn I'd of appreciated them more. Loved most of that shoe collection for sure. Liked!
I was so excited to see both you and Prince in a video together! I really enjoyed taking a look into his wardrobe, and the interview part you did was so interesting. It seems like you two have a lot of fun together :)
Thank you so much for watching and I'm glad you liked it! Yes, I'm so lucky to have a friend like Prince, spending time together in lolita is so fun :)
I follow him already! So happy to see classic lolita being in the spotlight for once 🙂 I'm just frustrated that brand like MaryMagdalene, Victorian Maiden and Sheglit don't fit me at all. 😫 Decided to sew my own wardrobe out of spite 😂 It's pretty nice and I can use my tailor knowledge to make it fit perfectly! I also have super short hair like Prince so seeing his coords are always inspiring 😍
That's amazing that you sew your own wardrobe! From what I know, most classic brands started as tiny ateliers in someones house.. so your work is definitely true to that! I hope if the classic brands make a stronger comeback, they'll be more size inclusive in the future. Thank you for watching ~
Thanks so much for doing this interview and showing all these dresses! Also I'm surprised to find out that the Stitchess doesn't automatically get summoned when somebody is unsure how to pronounciate gunne sax. I don't know it either.
I really enjoyed this video, thank you both for making it! 🖤 I agree with Prince about the bat bag, so much room! I assume it's pronounced shee-glit ("'Sheglit' is a coined word with our wish that our customers who wear our clothes will always be glittering") shay-glit, would surely be spelt shé? Idk 😆
Great video! I love the look of Mary Magdalene, Victorian Maiden and Innocent World but I will never fit in to any of their pieces. Finding comparable alternatives has been a struggle as a plus size classic lolita 😔.
The relatable strugle.... I'd only wear classic lolita brands if I had any hope fitting into them. Even if I would be super thin, my ribcage still won't fit like half of the dresses (looking at you unshirred op's....) ;__; The strugle of finding substitudes has become so incredibly bad that I just gave up and decided to make my own classic pieces :/
I hope you can find pieces that fit you soon! I've heard many classic lolitas enjoy shopping on Taobao for a better size range. Personally, following Chinese Lolita Updates + Loki Doki Taobao SS on FB, I see a lot of beautiful pieces quite often! I'm not sure if that's helpful (my classic knowledge is truly too limited...) but i wish you good luck! Thank you for watching ~
wow prince's collection is amazing!! thank you for sharing :) do you think using clip hangers is good for all dresses or just those with elastic straps? I've been hanging some of my dresses folded over hangers but clips maybe looks nicer :0
Thank you so much for watching! Personally I use clips on all of my main pieces, since they're heavy and the weight is mostly near the bottom, which drags the straps down. But I know a lot people use regular hangers for their dresses with no elastic sleeves and it seems to be fine :) I just don't want to take the risk !
👏👏👏👏When Prince said that spooky cute themes are not gothic or how AP jewel tones are not classic. It really reminded me of when AP "classic" OTTD things were soooo popular in like 2015-16 riding off of the high of OTT sweet and everyone just kinda used the color and motif change to make it consider "classic". I do consider things to be like a mix of a two styles like calling something "sweet classic" or something like that in my own PERSONAL closet, but ultimately when really defining a style it's usually one or the other lol. So many people in sweet love to claim AP or indie spooky sweet prints as gothic and so many people believe that is what "gothic" lolita really is when in reality it looks nothing like that! Really enjoyed hearing his insights on those topics. Great video!
Haha we definitely had to touch on what is and isn't classic/gothic, I feel like so many guides for lolita focus on sweet, so it was fun to talk more about the other substyles! Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed that! Talking about lolita is so much fun for me, so I'm glad I can include that on my channel :)

Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed watching! I also felt lucky to see such iconic pieces, Prince has such good taste hehe!
I'd like to see Prince in more of your videos. I really love the way you two play off each other and it's good to have a non-sweet lolita perspective.
We'd really love to film together again! We always talk about it and just end up chatting or watching a movie when we hang lol but we'll try and get to it !
Such an excellent video! I loved seeing such a beautifully curated collection of different styles!
Thanks for interviewing me, it was a lot of fun to talk to you about classic & gothic lolita!

hahaha always a pleasure to hang out with you
This is an absolute dream wardrobe. Just incredible.
I agree, Prince has a wonderful collection! Thanks for watching ~
Prince has inspired me to start wearing chemisettes with Lolita. I adore his coord!
I made sure to let him know :) ~
I love classic so much and it makes me so happy to see Lolitas talk about it
Loved all the detail shots and hearing stories about each piece! Classic and goth pieces have such and underestimated beauty and I hope more people can appreciate it!
I totally agree! Getting to look up close at these pieces was such a treat, I wanted to be able to share that :)Thanks for watching!

I too love the imperfections in old school street snaps♡ pretty sure Gunne Sax rhymes with bunny snacks

Your closet is amazing I’m so jealous I can totally tell the amount of work you’ve done collecting these pieces

Omg I would die to own some of these! Such beautiful pieces.

That pronunciation makes sense, omg lolita brands are so cute with how they chose the name T__T
Great video! I love the look of Mary Magdalene, Victorian Maiden and Innocent World but I will never fit in to any of their pieces. Finding comparable alternatives has been a struggle as a plus size classic lolita 😔.

His aesthetic is everything I wanted to be but then I am super short and on the edge of the measurements for these dreses😭😭
aw I hope you can find some dresses that fit you! Most lolita is good for shorter people though, so I hope youj can find something.
