    I have 6 drop pods to build and I was considering gluing the doors. I am still not convinced but the tutorial will serve to make the pods very detailed. Thanks!

    Excellent tutorial winters. Very straight-forward technique that produces excellent results & that should be easy enough to duplicate. Thank you!

    I always open the doors on my landraiders and rhinos, even the side doors, i like your weathering as it does look natural

    Love this video! Great job on the wash... So this is probably what I'm going to end up doing to my brand new DJI Mini 3 Pro... I was contemplating getting a skin but I decided to just go with this kind of wash job.. love the way it came out!! Looks like it definitely has been through some sh#t!

    Wow, that was extremely helpful, thank you. One question; what would you do with a darker colour, such as, say, Caliban Green?

    • @wintersSEO
      @wintersSEO  9 років тому +1

      On top of the chipped black affect apply a dawnstone grey and touches of metal here and there. You need to add some colour to draw the damage out or the pod will drown in darkness.

    I have a black Templar army and was going to Make and paint a black Templar drop pod but I really want to do this effect do you recommend any specific paints to use to get the effect even though it wouldn't be as visible?

    Winters! Big Dan likes the video very good been holding off on weathering my droppods, picks of rhinos really helped out this video does the trick for my pods I think. I know you mentioned lighter colors work best for ur weathering. my main color is Leadberchel, secondary Rakarn blue with 3rd as Balthazar gold. How well u feel the weathering blended on ur leadberchel on the white pod?

      The black affect works well on metals. Should be good

    When doing the black spray on the bottom, did you spray it directly down onto the underside and carefully from the side? If so how did you do it without getting the black everywhere?
    Either way great vid, will be trying this on my first drop pod that I just completed painting otherwise.

    • @wintersSEO
      @wintersSEO  7 років тому +1

      +Cory Trickler. Careful short bursts. Aim for the bottom and some will end up on the side
