Yes, Band-Maid have been commissioned to write songs for Anime, or had songs used in Anime: "Glory" was used as an ending theme in 'Yuu Gi Ou: Vrains' "Carry On Living" was used as the ending theme in 'Quiz Tokiko-san' "Sense" was commissioned as both the opening and ending song for 'Platinum End' "Different" was commissioned as the opening theme in 'Log Horizon: 3' "Shambles" was commissioned as an ending theme for 'Kengan Ashura' (2023) And "Protect You" will be the Ending theme for the TV anime "Grendizer U," - to be released July 5th. All have music video's except "Carry On Living" which is an album track on their 2018 "World Domination album. Also both "Choose Me" and "Blooming" featured in the Netflix movie "Kate" (with Band-Maid actually onstage performing "Choose Me" in a club scene).
"One and only" was used as the theme song for the horror omnibus film "Kurui Hana" released in 2017. I'm really looking forward to the full version of "Protect You" being released on July 5th. A short version is currently being shown in the 3rd PV of the anime Grendizer U.

For some strange reason, Band-Maid has done several MV's in cold weather. "Shambles", "Warning" and "The Non-Fiction Days". They welcomed the heat from the pyrotechnics, I believe one of the Maids had their coat catch on fire while trying to warm up next to one of the fire pits while waiting to film in "The Non-Fiction Days" video.

Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid. So exactly whose show was it? It was the Maid's show, as usual! 🤘🎀🤘Thx, Jason!
Their Anime Theme Songs are commissioned. So it's not like they just took one of their songs a tacked it onto the show. It was written for it. They did Glory' for Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS, as well as appearing in anime form in the Music Video for 'Unleash'.
They should release another official music scorebook for this EP. If they do, you should get one, or sign up with Band-Maid Prime. Akane's drum is music on its own.

MISA's bass is actually a relic'd white bass. She told Black Cloud her sponsors, and who makes all of her basses that she wanted a white "Black Smoker" bass that looked like it had spent 10 years in a smoky bar. And what she has is what she got. She premiered it on their "Day of Maid" 2021 Live Online performance.
@@JasonsSongStop Black Cloud worked with MISA to put together her own "Signature" bass. It is the TM BETA - JMB5 MISA, if you want to order one from Black Cloud. It will run you about 4-5 thousand with import duties and shipping. And they are custom built by Black Cloud. Which means that they don't build it until you order it. Also, Black Cloud is a small custom lutherie shop. So they only have I think 8 people in total working for them. That includes the office people. So it could take several months between your order and delivery. If I am remembering correctly, there are only 5 people actually crafting the instruments.
Great job, Jason! Yes, many of their songs have very positive and uplifting lyrics. A lot of their music "feels" uplifting too - even without paying attention to the words. They'll make you feel better no matter what mood you're in - they are a magical miracle band.
Kanami is a riff master! To be fair she does EVERYTHING well. My 2nd fave guitarist (behind only Hendrix) MISA is my fave bassist & Akane is top 10, maybe 5, drummer. in ONE band! SO much talent! Oh and Miku & Saiki are pretty darned good too!
