To all beginners ..... There's a lot of videos like this out there. People documenting how quickly they manage to do something.
Remember this is not the reality for most and to not feel discouraged when your progress is not moving as quick. The most important thing is to enjoy every moment on skates regardless of how gd you are.

This is so true🙌. This video is a highlight reel of my first 30 days! If you watch my other vlogs, you will see the lows too! The days where I just fell and fell and crashed every single time I tried things (...marilyn stall ugh haha). I have videos where I am frustrated and scared or where it it too cold to be outside. I hope this video serves as inspiration for you to get out there and skate and move and have fun ♥️

At the age of 10 I fell so hard while skating I thought I broke my tail bone. It was a painful experience and it traumatized me from ever wanting to skate again. I’m 25 now and I told myself I was ready to face my fears and get back into skating. Skating is so fun, freeing and a great form of exercise. I was gifted a pair of skates for Christmas and I made a commitment to myself and my skates that no matter what- I will excel and get better. Im officially on day 3 of practicing and have been incorporating mind & body connections with my new skates. My mind is already causing my body to automatically tense up bc it’s trying to protect me from experiencing my previous fall again so I’ve been affirming to myself as well. Good luck to everyone on their skating journeys! Take your time, Love yourself, trust yourself & learn to accept & celebrate the falls, flaws & successes! 🎉❤ we got this!

Preach. I've gone skating like 5 times (always like 1.5hr) and practiced at home a bit and every time I step out my legs are *shaking*. I don't have issues with balance, bubbles forward and backwards, and I can do plow stop (and I've tried the toe stop at like the slowest speed) but it's not like I need it as much because every time I pick up any speed whatsoever I *freak* out and stop immediately 😅I think about every little pebble and twig on the street but I don't even fall, I don't even come close to falling that often. I think my only barrier is in my head! The speed is scary! But hey, it's fun, so let's keep going at our own pace!

@@napoleonsissy6164 exactly, even though it is super scary it is so much fun!
I went down a very small downhill ish road a week ago and freaked out over the speed and fell straight down on my tailbone and its still hurts super bad haha. But, I hahe figured out drinking a beer or two before going skating really helps me not being scared to fall. So if im skating in the evenings, I drink a small beer beforehand haha.
I have barely started skating backwards but rocks and twigs makes me scared..

@@emilieelstad6230 even the tiniest slope freaks me out terribly! anything that projects the faintest shadow on the pavement is super scary. Too bad it's too dark to skate outside when I'm in the mood for a glass of wine... A smallish dose of alcohol does sound like a really effective technique enhancer ;) While bike touring once someone told me that a beer at the end of the day was also a great muscle relaxant! Oh! And sometimes when I'm recording something I put more effort into it and care less about being afraid and that alone prevents me from falling! :)

This is the first video of yours I'm watching and I feel pretty bad I'm criticizing anything since overall was a great great video editing was awesome too, but if you could look into something for any future videos would probably be the volume of the music it's a bit loud comparing to the natural sound and the volume of your voice. Like probably try to make the volume a bit equal so it doesn't have to go up to hear you and down when the music is playing.❤❤

You need different skates. Moxi lolly or moonlight... anything leather with an adjustable toe stop. You can’t switch out your toe stop into something adjustable with those skates and you’ll be fighting the fake leather to skate dance in. You can’t skate dance in anything with that much ankle support because it holds you back. Trust me you’ll get twice as good literally overnight once you’re in skates that aren’t essentially a fad/toy skate. Can’t wait to see you nailing those toe stop stalls in some real skates, girl!
