Sarah Rae Vargas does that and its honestly GREAT to see the before and after and how effective she shapewear is. Some shapewear makes my tummy literally look pregnant, others smooth and slim me out.

If you think about how smart Kim was with the inclusivity, sizing, etc it’s hard to believe the kimono scandal was a mistake that nobody on her team noticed was controversial.
Kip Tastic it was a win/win for Kim. She is in law school and knows a TON about trademark law from past experiences, if she would have been able to trademark the word, “kimono,” then she would have received royalties on everything named, “kimono,” (which is a traditional Japanese garment) for years. Back to the original point, her and her team were definitely aware of how problematic it could have been to name it that, so they pulled a publicity stunt and made that announcement to get everyone talking about them. there’s no such thing as bad publicity. Right after Kim switched the name of the merch, she announced a sale on some of her other products. It doesn’t make sense, which is the point. The entire thing was calculated. Lol, sorry I have Japanese heritage so I get kinda triggered by this 🤣🤣🤣
@@brittanyg6796 I think ur exactly right ... I dont know much about the process but I remember reading about celebrities getting trademarks and it takes months, kim switched the name and trademarked it in less than a month... seems fishy
I personally don't wear shapewear but the size and skin tone inclusivity of the line is pretty cool. I definitely agree with Skylar's hot take about shapewear being a personal choice and not indicative of whether or not you are body positive!

*Me* - has never worn or thought about about shapewear and has no opinion on Kim K *Sierra* - "here's a half hour video of me trying on Kim K's shapewear" *Me* - watches entire video
I know Sierra was describing the underwear when she said "I feel held and supported but not constricted" but she also described what i want in my relationship 🤔
If only our relationships gave us what our perfect shareware does. I’ve had one 2 1/2 yr. relationship in 27 yrs., and know what I want in both. Great reviews honey!
same. why even bother with shape-wear if it's not going to squeeze you in. its not worth the price or the hassle if the difference it makes is damn near non-existent.
Was just sitting here completely puzzled as to why anyone would ever make one legged shapewear. Once you explained the split dresses I was like 🤦🏽♀️ duh! That is a great idea!
Being someone who works from home, sometimes when I have guest I can’t just walk around without a bra so knowing she works from home too, it explains how comfy this bra is 😂
That would also make the bottoms the same color at the top… these poor shapewears are being stretched to their absolute max and you really shouldn’t be able to see the belly button through them. Sierra constantly needs to size up lol
Katya Mullet agreed, when she scrolled through the sizing where it showed different models, the 2X looked similar to her body type, the XL had a very toned but tall girl modeling it. No hate, but everyone deserves to wear garments that actually flatter them. Sizing up would support her idea that size doesn’t define you, comfort does
I didn't want to sound rude but am actually thinking the same, she's definitely not a size XL. At first I thought it was american sizing but nope, looks like she just doesent know or is denying her dress size.
I think your body is wonderful but according to the “see in your size” I would say that you would be 2X/3X. There is nothing wrong with this but when rolling happens it usually means that ur wearing the incorrect size.
Idk I’m only 8:20 min and already the first two products are mediocre aside from the main material. They don’t match shades which, would be fine as long as the clothes work but if you advertise everything as matching perfectly, only to have the actual product not, it looks like a cheap knock-off. It’s possible she just happened to get a defective one (color-wise) but idk. And the bottoms’ band rolling down? That should be unacceptable. It’s uncomfortable and uncovering. That, unlike the color, is a physical design issue that should have been fixed. All in all so far it’s not good first impressions. If this was a Target brand I’d be less critical but Kim fucking Kardashian can afford quality dye, and elastic, and to have someone qualified oversee production quality.
About the last bra: ideally when bra shopping you should be looking for bras that lock on the outer clasp, so that as the fabric stretches over time you can move on to the middle and finally the inner clasp. It's not about gaining or losing weight, it's about the maintenance and wear of your bras. :) ALSO: a super important thing I learned is that sometimes chub rub happens because of a fungal infection on the skin! Using an antifungal cream on the insides of the thighs has really helped me and other people I know to seriously limit the amount of chub rub we get. My doctor told me this and it changed my life!
True Sleepy you do know that even skinny people's legs rub together too ? This is a positive, inclusive place and your toxic statements aren't welcome here. Good Bye.
The rolling down might mean you need one size up. The point is not to have rolls. I bought the wrong size and that happened to me. I bought the next size and it was perfect.
Alejandra Kiester or she didn’t pull them up high enough, I was watching other videos about them and once they pulled them up some they were perfect also
Idk why everyone doesn’t like the skims?!? I just got mine, and they were super easy to get on and super comfortable. The band hasn’t rolled at all. I’m a size 14/16 and I got the 2x/3x I feel like people keep getting a size too small or something??
Some are saying that there is no real lift in the butt area. From what I've seen if you have any kind of butt there might be an issue. The other people were complaining about the thong shape wear.
I had the same experience I’ve tried a couple items from skims, and it feels so good yet it shapes me so well. I live for the bras as well, so i don’t know 😬
I definitely believe how you feel in clothing is more important than how you look in it and maybe it would have emphasized importance of your appearance but it could have been helpful to see the outfits you tried on without the shapewear underneath to show the comparison.
Lacy Danielle Sierra definitely always emphasizes on how it’s about how you feel and not look. The outfits are her typical outfits she wears and try’s on without shape wear so I don’t feel like I missed out on seeing the before and then after. Although everyone does love a good before and after haha so I know what you mean.
You would have hated my grandmother. She used to tell me the two things people notice about you first are your teeth and your shoes, so you should take care of yourself.
@@RedlineRob I've heard people say that people notice shoes first multiple times but I seriously never notice what kind of shoes someone's wearing unless they're really unusual in some way
REVIEW GIRLFRIEND COLLECTIVE PLEASE!! it’s a very size inclusive athletic brand. They are also environmentally conscious I have a set and I like it so I’d like to see what you think of it Not to be one of these people but please like so she can see this
@@ally_belle the leggings and shorts in the high waist are not extremely compressive, but they never roll down, dark colours pass the squat test, very comfortable and wash well. The paloma bra I wear as a shirt more than a work out bra. I find bc I am an odd size small in the band large in the cup the bottom could be tighter and I won't use it for cross fit. I would cycle and do yoga in it though.
I wish you compared how it fits you with and without the shapewear, cause tbh I don't see that much difference and definitely not a big enough difference for that price point.
Jelena Todorovic Same I would’ve liked it if she put at least like pictures side-by-side of wearing a dress without it and a dress with it so I can really see if it’s shaping if it’s doing anything but I don’t know I don’t think she thought about that she just kept saying how comfy it was
Sarah's video was really informative bc she's a girl who actually wears spanx and knows how to properly wear them. Her video was the best I watched this far
I feel like this isn’t shaping at all? I get that it’s “comfortable” and maybe it’s giving you a little more confidence, but I don’t think it’s particularly smoothing or structured in any way. Also, maybe try tighter fitting clothes? Even the T-shirt was baggy.
Rolling down issues means it’s too small. That’s not hate; that’s just the truth. It happens to me when I try to squeeze into a size I think i should fit but I don’t...
Are you fat though? Because all shapewear bottoms roll when you're fat. It's because you're putting something that compresses over a very soft surface that moves. Fat buckles when you move and bend over which is when things start rolling.
I suggest you measure yourself next time before buying clothes online, that's why most stores include measurement charts next to garment sizes. Clothes in your size shouldn't be rolling off of you.
NeonBlackHeartAttack I think she should be buying 2x. I think she’s in denial of wearing plus size clothes. We’re about the same size and I wear a 1x/2x easily.
Watching your videos has really had an impact on me, I was looking at my body in the mirror yesterday and thought for the first time “I look stunning” cellulite and stretch marks and all, thank you for letting me realise my true beauty!
Like, 527 ads for a different shape wear, lol! I’ve watched about 7 different reviews from 7 different ‘tubers and EVERY SINGLE ONE had the same exact ads.....so funny 🤣
*Conspiracy theory:* the name was always going to the SKIMS and she announced it as kimono knowing it would get backlash and talked about. Then changed it to SKIMS and in the end got more people to find out about it.
The "original" name of Kimono was a highly sophisticated marketing ploy. Her marketing team knew that it would probably get rejected; but it would get the press buzzing and the whole world talking and generate a crap load of publicity before the line even launched. Genius.
I come to this channel to get reviews for larger sized clothing because I’m a curvy girl but I end up just confused since I’m quite smaller than her, but I wear a larger size than her according to what size she claims she is (I’m consistently xl/xxl). I feel like she’s got to be buying everything in a size or 2 too small? It isn’t beneficial either because everything is too tight so it doesn’t fit well, which makes the review of the clothing unhelpful. I never know if an item actually is made that way/will always look like that, or if it’s just due to it being too small. I come to these types of videos for help with what size to buy/how it’ll look but I can’t be the only one thinking things don’t look so good in her reviews because she’s not sizing correctly/not accepting she’s bigger than a l/xl. (This is in no way hate either, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with or bad about being bigger! I just find myself consistently confused on her reviews because of this. I think it’s REALLY important to size correctly for your body if the purpose of your channel/vid is reviewing clothing)
You’re so right, I think most people realize this about her. I think she has a beautiful body, and she’s even admitted to gaining weight. Yet still tries to wear the same size as when she first started her channel (or close to) when she was “mid-sized. She is now what I’d consider and by most standards considered “plus size.” Which is totally fine. It’s just not helpful for anyone honestly that she won’t go up a size or two.
Yes! Like I’m around 270 (though I look and therefore size like 240/230 because I’m actually big boned) and I wear an XL/XXL but she’s definitely larger than me - she should probably be wearing around a 2X, if not a 3X.
I just finished watching her jeans video and I agree as well. I'm much taller than her and carry my weight differently. There's no way most of those size 12 jeans she put on would ever fit me, yet somehow she's fitting them and carrying her weight more forward that I. So confused.
It really normal to misjudge your size when you are use to being a certain size. I have been slim most of my life (was a size zero in my teens) but now I'm probably a ten or twelve but i misjudge when buying by sight only so online shopping is a hassle.
I don’t see it giving u a shape tho I mean don’t get me wrong ur original shape is cute but the reason for a shape-wear is to give u a shape and all I’m hearing is that it’s comfortable my opinion tho
I didn't understand why she kept saying that she loved it because of the fact that it didn't have much compression. I feel like she was only looking for qualities of supportive garments. Supportive garments are a completely different concept from shapewear. It's in the name -- it's SUPPOSED to alter your shape, and that takes tight compression to achieve.
vegan queen I see u everywhere. I am vegan too that’s probably why. Anyway, I totally agree. Shapewear is meant to snatch your shit like one step away from corsetting. So idk why people are so happy about it. The items do look cute tho.
I was thinking the same. When I wore shapewear I considered it a fail if it didnt suck me in. I want my shapewear to snatch my waist in more and flatten down my tummy not just sit on it
To be honest if i buy shapewear i’d like it to be tighter in the right places, i don’t think the skims are really giving shape and i’ve watched a lot of different videos about them 🤔
Same i do not notice any change at all!!! Its in its name SHAPEWEAR but their isnt any shape the material is nice but thats it! As usual another company making these for women that dont even need the shapewear never for women that have more of tummy an that is sad ill stuck with my Spanx
Thank you for being the one to say it. She literally said “I don’t think I’ll be pulling it up all night” but she had pulled it up twice before she even said that, then once after! To me, it seems like a very unsupportive and flattening bandeau. Love Sierra, liked some of the SKIMS, but that bandeau is a no go.
@Patti - Cake a bandeau without any support isn't going to work for anyone above a b- cup, shapewear is supposed to be pretty tight otherwise it's not going to do anything
Maybe we could of seen you in those dresses/outfits without the shapewear and then with it for comparison. I can't tell how much compression was happening.
What exactly is it shaping? What is it sculpting? I would like to see a before and after..because I'm not seeing it. I guess if you want that hour glass figure....this is NOT the Shapewear for you....
Stephanie Nicole well I watched alisha marie’s review of this line and it gave her more of a hourglass shape. she also does it comparing without the shape wear!
Sometimes when I wear black leggings the stretch on the leggings get lighter/ more see through so maybe that’s why the two pieces in the beginning were different colors. I don’t know if that helped but yea ❤️
I’m assuming it would be for a dress that is longer on one side (asymmetrical) where it’s mini on one side then a long more thigh length on the other side
I feel like the point of shapewear is to suck u in, literally give u a shape and smooth out everything and i dont think its doing that. Not that you need it but the product isn't what i was expecting especially for the price.
I agree i feel like it smoothing but thats totally it an whats the point for just smoothing you can get that at Walmart i just feel like its not shaping at allll
@Patti - Cake Can you fuck off? I'm certainly not a stalker when every thread I go to look at has you chiming in about how Sierra just needs to size up and accept that she's whatever size you think she is! God, your level of entitlement and self-importance is fucking astounding. Oh, and if you can say whatever you want, then I certainly can as well!
Personally I hate the feeling of shapewear, but I listened to your podcast and appreciate your philosophy on it. Something that can be helpful if you want smoothing or less chub rub, but it shouldn't be viewed as "necessary" if you're wearing tight clothes.
At first I wasn’t really feeling the one leg shorts thing but then when you explained how useful it could be I was like ahh shit this is what I’ve always needed
On the thong one, it gave you such a beautiful hour glass shape from front on! BecUss there is nothing on your legs or even your hips or butt, if almost pushed those areas out more and defined them. It looks like a kardashian body shape. Crazy!
I was literally so confused over the one leg Skims, and thought maybe it was just for the website comparing each leg, and then when you tried it on I was like omg why is there just one leg...then you explained it!!! I was like ok makes sense now 😂😂😂😭😭😭
The fact that the ad that I just watched on this video was for a different shapewear called shapemints or something is kinda funny lol.. Subtle shade from UA-cam 😂
I LOVE Sierra. I personally wouldn’t ever buy SKIMS because - well, I’m a dude... but I love watching her videos because of how confident she is and how much effort and information she puts into all of her videos.
I think it’s awesome they showed different model sizes when you clicked on each size, I wish more companies did that, it would be so helpful when shopping online
I have an honest question: why do you only wear low rise underwear? i feel like a lot of that support/smoothing feeling would be achievable with just a good pair of cotton high waisted underwear. i just see you always wearing really low rise underwear and i guess it's a personal preference, but i just don't get it, it looks so uncomfortable
My problem with high rise underwear (although I wear it anyway) is they ALWAYS give me intense underwear lines and I hate that. they do make thing high waisted underwear tho so maybe I should give that a try have y’all tried those?
I bought a pair of SKIMS and I really really Liked them, however they aren’t the best for easy on and off as far as bathroom access lol. These are my special occasion Shapeware for sure.
A few pieces of constructive criticism with the clothes over the shape-wear I would have appreciated seeing how the clothes look without any shape-wear to get a sense of the difference The black dress --> It's very hard to get any sense of curves under something that dark. If you have a lighter form fitting dress (even if it's a little bit looser) I think that it would be easier to see what the shape-wear does for you. Loved the video, and I appreciate your insight into this shape-wear. I also love that you didn't just pretend that the whole name scandal didn't happen.
Im so glad you find a goood strapless bra, because it is impossible to get a good one. The only thing I don´t like about the bra´s is that they dont have a lot of support and sometimes when you havebig boobs they can move a lot and it can get a little painfull. But i loved the review! thank you for beinng so honest!!!!
she’s had that name trademarked for years. people thought it was going to be a lingerie company at first. i remember hearing about it a couple years back. i don’t think it’s a publicity stunt
@@milan3469 Maybe but like she said in this video, how did this get past her team? Someone would have mentioned something. She has enough money to trademark something and decide to go a different way. She IS studying law, and her father was a lawyer. She's a smart girl, anything is possible. Look how far she's come from a sex tape and Paris Hilton lol. I think she knew what she was doing.
Wearing that one piece bodysuit with that dress means you’ll literally have to take off all your clothing to go to the bathroom. Sounds super annoying.
You might be able to roll one of the legs up, then pull the fabric towards the opposite leg to expose your crotch and pee; however, it's still a lot of work to do that for sure. I think that's why they putt pee holes in clothing items like this.
Hey! I'm 27 and have been wearing shape wear since I was a teen and always HATED it. I spent a lot of time trying to smooth out my body and "hide" anything I didn't like, that I felt compelled to wear shape wear that was probably too tight for me. Since 3rd grade, my body has always naturally been a little heavier than what doctor's would have preferred, so I was always really self-conscious about how I looked in clothing. I say all of this to give some back story behind this comment. I wanted to say first, thank you for reviewing SKIMS and focusing on how it made you confident/comfortable, not how it was hiding your body or "fixing" anything. I love this healthy approach to shape wear. This could have been really controversial and really I had no clue if it'd be a hit or a miss. I'm glad to know Kim and her team are making some positive strides with inclusivity. Next, I want to say that I'm really glad you have your channel and that you've chosen to advocate for body positivity and loving your body, because it really does help to see someone who has a very similar body to mine (12-14, 38C, Large to XL, curves) film an entire video in shape wear looking confident and amazing! I'll admit, I used to have a hard time accepting that I could wear even a crop top while at a store, much less have hundreds of thousands of people see me in shape wear. (Update, I now LOVE crop tops and got into them after seeing how you and Carrie style them.) I feel like wearing shape wear could be a very vulnerable moment for most people, and you handled it with such grace and made it seem so normal. So I applaud you for that. I'm glad your channel is seeing the success it is and glad you've created a community that's body positive where people can grow in their journey along the way. :) So this is my compliment to you, Skylar and the team, and also saying that I love this video! :)
Good on you, must love! I saw a complement yesterday that read 'no matter what size you are; you are someone's goals'. Not that I agree with being pit against an ideal (lol will not start on society's crap treatment of women haha) but just know someone is looking at you thinking 'wow! I want to look like her'!
I've had to go to the toilet before going swimming so I had on my one-piece swim suit under a long sweater/dress. I just take off the sweater, hang it on a hook, over the stall door, or on top of my bag.
Thanks for getting proper captions added! Thought Carrie Dayton might've had some influence on you when she came to me about them, but she told me you had started doing them before her! That's awesome, thank you!
I cant stop thinking that with the full bodysuit piece you would literally have to get completely undressed to use the restroom. Imagine being at a wedding and having to fully undress in a bathroom stall, is it worth it? I'm not so sure! 🤣
In loose rompers or shapewear that is bikini cut (not the shorts), I definitely just pull the crotch area to the side and pee rather than getting completely undressed 😂
Random thought... does anyone else have their credit card info memorized? 😂 my family says I have a problem, but I’m just good at remembering things like that.
I would have like to see how they look under jeans, rather then just dresses... And I think if Siarra sized up on the shorts they wouldn't be rulling down.. Also... Does anyone know if shapewear stretchs out after a few wears??
Anyone else just wanna stay FAT AND SASSY and be able to breathe in their clothes?!! 🙋🏼♀️🥰 *no hate to the shapewear-lovers you go ahead and get snatched 😘 ❤️I love & support all body types!❤️

She does a lot of second hand, sewing her own and affordable pieces and she is very modest and wears super cute, colourful pieces as well so I love to get ideas from her as well! "way too tight" like what? thats the point 😂
same. why even bother with shape-wear if it's not going to squeeze you in. its not worth the price or the hassle if the difference it makes is damn near non-existent.
Same
Meeee tooooo😁
I mean I thought that was what it was supposed to be
Was just sitting here completely puzzled as to why anyone would ever make one legged shapewear. Once you explained the split dresses I was like 🤦🏽♀️ duh! That is a great idea!
Same here , I even thought she maybe made those for people without a leg . 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Natara Coaxum I was so confused 😂😂😂
Natara Coaxum me 2, I was so confused about that and realized it’s for slit dresses.
Natara Coaxum you weren’t alone lol

“Around the house bra”??? 404 error
The minute I get home my bra comes flying off
WhenI heard that from her
I was like : yoo girl I should wear my bra tho
She works at home and she has alot of people working with her. I don't blame her for wanting some support.
Being someone who works from home, sometimes when I have guest I can’t just walk around without a bra so knowing she works from home too, it explains how comfy this bra is 😂
You wait till you get home? I remove mine at the first stoplight after work!
Some of us don’t have the ability to go bra free. I want my girls to not hang to my knees when I’m 60.
If they’re rolling, it might be better to go a size up.
That would also make the bottoms the same color at the top… these poor shapewears are being stretched to their absolute max and you really shouldn’t be able to see the belly button through them. Sierra constantly needs to size up lol
I was literally about to comment this but the way some of her stans are you’re running the risk of being attacked 🙄
Katya Mullet agreed, when she scrolled through the sizing where it showed different models, the 2X looked similar to her body type, the XL had a very toned but tall girl modeling it. No hate, but everyone deserves to wear garments that actually flatter them. Sizing up would support her idea that size doesn’t define you, comfort does
I made the same comment before I saw yours. I had the same problem - went a size up and it totally fixed the rolling in the waist
I didn't want to sound rude but am actually thinking the same, she's definitely not a size XL. At first I thought it was american sizing but nope, looks like she just doesent know or is denying her dress size.
Did anyone else get only shapewear ads the whole time?
I don’t have ads
Yeh they looked amazing the way the fat just went away lol.
I really need one. Lol
I get them every video I watch.
Yes
Yesssssssss
I think your body is wonderful but according to the “see in your size” I would say that you would be 2X/3X. There is nothing wrong with this but when rolling happens it usually means that ur wearing the incorrect size.
My thoughts exactly. I weigh 215 at 5'3 and I think I would need an XL maybe even the 2X
Was about to comment this.
@@prettyinpinklatina so was I, I'm like L/XL more like 1XL/2XL
I love her soo much but it appears she likes to buy smaller items often but damn she looked amazing!!!!!!

The kardashians have always been good at hiring the right people
Mya Emma Jade 😂👌
@@DeathnoteBB I've watched the whole video, and her overall impression was really good so I think they did a good job on this launch.
@@DeathnoteBB I dont see any real support in the shapewear. I'll stick to my spanx
About the last bra: ideally when bra shopping you should be looking for bras that lock on the outer clasp, so that as the fabric stretches over time you can move on to the middle and finally the inner clasp. It's not about gaining or losing weight, it's about the maintenance and wear of your bras. :)
ALSO: a super important thing I learned is that sometimes chub rub happens because of a fungal infection on the skin! Using an antifungal cream on the insides of the thighs has really helped me and other people I know to seriously limit the amount of chub rub we get. My doctor told me this and it changed my life!
Wow thanks so much for the bra advice! I never knew that 💖
The strap also looked too lose.
Or you could just not be chub that's probs a better way

@@aj-qb6gh your wrong
I’m embarrassed that I laughed at “skin on skims” 😂
The rolling down might mean you need one size up. The point is not to have rolls. I bought the wrong size and that happened to me. I bought the next size and it was perfect.
Alejandra Kiester or she didn’t pull them up high enough, I was watching other videos about them and once they pulled them up some they were perfect also
Her products roll because they are no good, it’s not about size with her stuff. We didn’t all get the wrong size but we all have rolling.
That makes it tighter then u have a skin roll. K
Skims is bad.
@@whatupbitch27yearsago94 you probably haven't even bought her stuff
@@themango9644 girl- from all these shitty reviews u think I’m gonna buy it? Hell nah.
Yeah I got the thong shape wear and I have nothing but good things to say!
I had the same experience I’ve tried a couple items from skims, and it feels so good yet it shapes me so well. I live for the bras as well, so i don’t know 😬
Everyone is against skins cause the brand owner is a cultural appropriatitor
She's getting the rolling issue because with a lot of stuff she gets she always get sizes too small
Can I just say, I think Kim really hit it with this one! I got it for my aunt and she really liked it!

You are beautiful! I love love love this review
Haha I used to watch your videos your classrooms are always so aesthetically pleasing ✨
@@RedlineRob I've heard people say that people notice shoes first multiple times but I seriously never notice what kind of shoes someone's wearing unless they're really unusual in some way
Mitchy Sassi same, I never pay attention to shoes 😂 like why would I be looking at your feet?
Doesn't seem to compress very much though I'll stick with spanx. If I want comfort I'll wear p.j's. I want something that will suck everything in🤷♀️
You should really show the outfits without the shapewear otherwise it's hard to tell if it's doing anything.

Natalie R omg I just got their products and love it so much
I have a couple pairs of their leggings and they’re sooo worth the price!!!
Lovvvvve GFC! I have their biker shorts, paloma bra and leggings all of them A+
I'm thinking about buying from them so I'd love to see this review too! I'm not sure if they have enough compression for me, what do you think?
@@ally_belle the leggings and shorts in the high waist are not extremely compressive, but they never roll down, dark colours pass the squat test, very comfortable and wash well. The paloma bra I wear as a shirt more than a work out bra. I find bc I am an odd size small in the band large in the cup the bottom could be tighter and I won't use it for cross fit. I would cycle and do yoga in it though.
I wish you compared how it fits you with and without the shapewear, cause tbh I don't see that much difference and definitely not a big enough difference for that price point.
You can play with sizing
Jelena Todorovic Same I would’ve liked it if she put at least like pictures side-by-side of wearing a dress without it and a dress with it so I can really see if it’s shaping if it’s doing anything but I don’t know I don’t think she thought about that she just kept saying how comfy it was
I thought the same..
I was literally watching Sarah Rae’s review of this shape wear when my notification came up! 💛
Stephanie Ceja she made such a good point about basically a skinny person making shapewear ☺️ I can’t wait to see your review Sierra!
Sarah's video was really informative bc she's a girl who actually wears spanx and knows how to properly wear them. Her video was the best I watched this far
She is my other fav!

Yes!!! Sarah did an amazing review!!
She isn't saying 'ogre'. She's saying 'ochre' (oker), which is like a yellow tinted clay color.
Turn the one-legged one inside out to wear on other leg. Keeps the front in the front.
Oh cool. Thatz a gd idea. Good solution - cheers!
That's good math!
sorry I'm misunderstanding, can you please explain how that would work?
Really wish you would’ve tried on clothes with and without the shape wear so you can actually see the difference
Find something Skylar DOESNT find Sierra cute in lmaaao love u both, goals friendship
they are friend goals!! it's so sweet!
Ewww no
I feel like this isn’t shaping at all? I get that it’s “comfortable” and maybe it’s giving you a little more confidence, but I don’t think it’s particularly smoothing or structured in any way. Also, maybe try tighter fitting clothes? Even the T-shirt was baggy.
Agree!
It’s 0 shape 🤭
You don’t expect an xl tummy to be snatched as a size 0🤦🏽♀️
Stephanie Gyimah who is expecting that? She’s saying it gives zero shape. You can be curvy and snatched with the right shapewear.
If you're plus sized you need structured shapewear to get snatched (corsets, longline bras ect). Some fancy pantyhose is not gonna get it like that.
Rolling down issues means it’s too small. That’s not hate; that’s just the truth. It happens to me when I try to squeeze into a size I think i should fit but I don’t...
Then they have size consistency issues that are a problem because everything else in the xl worked.
Are you fat though? Because all shapewear bottoms roll when you're fat. It's because you're putting something that compresses over a very soft surface that moves. Fat buckles when you move and bend over which is when things start rolling.
Rolling up means that the product is not "there yet" in terms of what it's supposed to do. They just need to iterate to get it right
AJ M Don’t you think that’s a little blunt/harsh?
Maybe a thick and broad elastic band can help this issue
I suggest you measure yourself next time before buying clothes online, that's why most stores include measurement charts next to garment sizes. Clothes in your size shouldn't be rolling off of you.
NeonBlackHeartAttack I think she should be buying 2x. I think she’s in denial of wearing plus size clothes. We’re about the same size and I wear a 1x/2x easily.

I think if you went a size up in the shorts they wouldn’t roll in the waist on you at least that fixed the rolling waist for me. Awesome review
No, a bigger size wouldnt have her any compresion. The problema here is that they shouldn madre it with higher waist
love you but the flowy dress won't help us see the quality of the shapewear hahahahah
*Conspiracy theory:* the name was always going to the SKIMS and she announced it as kimono knowing it would get backlash and talked about. Then changed it to SKIMS and in the end got more people to find out about it.
Aubrie Lloyd-Jones ngl that definitely seems like something they’d do ( no hate) for people to notice the brand more
I 100% believe this. There’s no way they didn’t see that coming, plus SKIMS is the perfect name and the other doesn’t make much sense.
it was. don't ask me how I know
Aghhh so many people are uploading SKIM shapewear reviews! I don't know whose to watch first, lol

Definitely this one and Sarah Rae Vargas review on them!
Clearly this one 😂👍🏻
Oh my god 😶 do we have the same profile picture? 😂 imma be stealing your identity (jk)
I feel like this too. I’m the same height and weigh 160 pounds and I would buy the sizes she is. I’m several smaller than her visually too
It really normal to misjudge your size when you are use to being a certain size. I have been slim most of my life (was a size zero in my teens) but now I'm probably a ten or twelve but i misjudge when buying by sight only so online shopping is a hassle.
I only wish you would do a side by side in the dresses, with and without shape wear
I don’t see it giving u a shape tho I mean don’t get me wrong ur original shape is cute but the reason for a shape-wear is to give u a shape and all I’m hearing is that it’s comfortable my opinion tho
Charneshia Barber it’s not doing anything
I didn't understand why she kept saying that she loved it because of the fact that it didn't have much compression. I feel like she was only looking for qualities of supportive garments. Supportive garments are a completely different concept from shapewear. It's in the name -- it's SUPPOSED to alter your shape, and that takes tight compression to achieve.
vegan queen I see u everywhere. I am vegan too that’s probably why. Anyway, I totally agree. Shapewear is meant to snatch your shit like one step away from corsetting. So idk why people are so happy about it. The items do look cute tho.
vegan queen exactly 👏🏾
I was thinking the same. When I wore shapewear I considered it a fail if it didnt suck me in. I want my shapewear to snatch my waist in more and flatten down my tummy not just sit on it
To be honest if i buy shapewear i’d like it to be tighter in the right places, i don’t think the skims are really giving shape and i’ve watched a lot of different videos about them 🤔
Mariely García I’ve noticed that too! I’m glad I’m not the only one
Same i do not notice any change at all!!! Its in its name SHAPEWEAR but their isnt any shape the material is nice but thats it! As usual another company making these for women that dont even need the shapewear never for women that have more of tummy an that is sad ill stuck with my Spanx

Girl how often you are pulling up that bandeau is enough reason for me to pass.... I don't wanna have to be doing that all night lol
I got a bandeau from target with a "floating" underwire that stays put every time I wear it, I think it was 13 dollars

Jordan Lin I do feel like she’s smoothed but I agree with you I don’t think it’s sucking her in
I agree i feel like it smoothing but thats totally it an whats the point for just smoothing you can get that at Walmart i just feel like its not shaping at allll
@Patti - Cake Can you stop leaving all these rude comments putting Sierra down for the size of clothing she buys?
It does seem to suck her in everywhere except in the tummy! I kept thinking she's pregnant! Her side view looks like she's at least 5 months along.
According to the „show my size pictures“ she is an 3X, getting something in a wrong size and then reviewing it doesn‘t really make sense to me...
Those are my thoughts exactly! She needed to go up a couple of sizes for sure.
She does it all the time. Which is unfortunate because there’s not a lot of fashion UA-camrs that are larger
She's not a 3x
Sophie Lorber she is not a 3x for sure lol, probably she is only a xl-2x
We can't guess the size only by looking at her from the screen

On the thong one, it gave you such a beautiful hour glass shape from front on! BecUss there is nothing on your legs or even your hips or butt, if almost pushed those areas out more and defined them. It looks like a kardashian body shape. Crazy!

I think it’s awesome they showed different model sizes when you clicked on each size, I wish more companies did that, it would be so helpful when shopping online
Watching the shape wear ads before this and I’m just like...why are y’all wearing clothes that are two sizes too small 🤣
Yess omg high waisted underwear is the cheapest and easiest shape wear for the fupa!
I agree!! Her underwear is always cutting in and causing her a crease!!
Natalia Ershova yes! I will never understand not wearing high waisted underwear (I also love a high leg to give my thighs extra moving room 😂)
My problem with high rise underwear (although I wear it anyway) is they ALWAYS give me intense underwear lines and I hate that. they do make thing high waisted underwear tho so maybe I should give that a try have y’all tried those?
Sooo ppl only with a flat stomach should wear low rise underwear ? Just wondering

A few pieces of constructive criticism with the clothes over the shape-wear
I would have appreciated seeing how the clothes look without any shape-wear to get a sense of the difference
The black dress --> It's very hard to get any sense of curves under something that dark.

The roll down is because it's too small. You need to do a 2 x. It won't roll then
Thank you for explaining the one-leg thing!!! I was so mystified.
The idea of trying to put that one piece while sweaty at a wedding or a bar makes me think of Ross from friends trying to put on his leather pants 😂
Girl you ain’t ever peeing in the one piece underneath the dress 😂🤦🏽♀️
I've had to go to the toilet before going swimming so I had on my one-piece swim suit under a long sweater/dress. I just take off the sweater, hang it on a hook, over the stall door, or on top of my bag.
Fun fact about the name skims they were always going to use that name the trademark predates the announcement they used the kimono name for publicity.
Or like when it's date night...
Ever worn a romper?! Haha
@@rachael4041 I wore a jumpsuit to brunch once... I still have PTSD from going to the bathroom! 2 ladies even asked me if I was okay!... 😂
In loose rompers or shapewear that is bikini cut (not the shorts), I definitely just pull the crotch area to the side and pee rather than getting completely undressed 😂
Ashley Brown yes!!!! just do the little pull and pee 😂😂😂
Random thought... does anyone else have their credit card info memorized? 😂 my family says I have a problem, but I’m just good at remembering things like that.
Arieal Ferrell hahaha I do! My fiancé tells me I’m going to get us into debt, but joke’s on him, I only know my debit card info lmao
i do! i misplace my debit card allll the time so remembering it is so much easier
😂😂😂
I know mine too 😂
Oh, for sure!
I would have like to see how they look under jeans, rather then just dresses...
And I think if Siarra sized up on the shorts they wouldn't be rulling down..
Also... Does anyone know if shapewear stretchs out after a few wears??
Sierra: "it's getting hot in here"
My head: "it's getting hot in here so take off all your clothes, I am..."
franca valécio getting so hot I wanna take my clothes offffff
I legitimately only read the top line of your comment and started singing this in my head 😂😂😂
Anyone else just wanna stay FAT AND SASSY and be able to breathe in their clothes?!! 🙋🏼♀️🥰
*no hate to the shapewear-lovers you go ahead and get snatched 😘
❤️I love & support all body types!❤️

@@laurenc9458 Maybe you should get your priorities straight lol. What's the point in living life constantly being uncomfortable just to look a little smaller.
Can u do a fall outfit haul but modest and actually affordable. By affordable i mean 10 or 15 dollar shirts. Skirts up to 20 or 25 ect...
please!!
I think this would be a super cool idea, I also wanted to offer, I love Megan Fox unlocked here on UA-cam for her fashion videos also, I will say ahead of time, she is very religious and does promote that on her channel so if that is something that may offend you I apologize but she doesn’t push it onto you or anything and doesn’t talk down on anyone with different beliefs she just follows her religion on her channel. She does a lot of second hand, sewing her own and affordable pieces and she is very modest and wears super cute, colourful pieces as well so I love to get ideas from her as well! Might be someone for you to look into also if you’re interested!
@@samanthamatchett9623 thank u very kind of u 💛
A A no problem, I know I personally struggle with finding affordable outfits that I find modest enough for my personal preference while still making cute/fashionable outfits so if I can find any inspirations I get so excited so I hope I could help with you finding some as well!
Honestly I need that too
Breaking a sweat is apart of the game lol not gonna lie you’re putting me on to the bandeau bra 🧐
Anyways appreciate the video as always looking forward to your next 💕💕💕
That is exactly what i was thinking
I wore spanx under a dress for a class presentation in college and I almost passed out during it it was compressing me so much
Jennifer Cook I used to wear spandex too, but now that I have panic/anxiety episodes there’s no way I can. I’ve put it on to see the results and immediately have to rip them off or they induce a panic attack because of the compression. Weird facts 🤣
@@amberkeever8565 OMG me to! I use to wear them all the time but just like u a have severe anxiety and it starts to give me panic attacks! I thought I was crazy lol
stonerbaby 89 definitely not crazy! Anything tight, especially around my neck is instant panic.
@@amberkeever8565 we are in the same boat! I can't even wear chokers anymore because the same thing happens to me panic starts to bubble up
I was literally going to recommend this as your next video but girl you already did it 😭 🙌🏽
