Some dogs breeds are also more cleaner than the other. Even some cats are dirty too. The rest of the madhabs are giving their opinions too rather than giving some explicit proof. Having dogs in the house is still a mystery in my opinion, till this day. Its discommended but definitely not haram. You can even train your dog too.
