Junior got mentally exhausted around match 3 but great comeback.
Daigo played too much Guile... he is not as aggressive like he was in sf4 and the games before that... he did too much down/back in SF5

@@lonewolfxdash4738 this. 'Gief now rips rounds from reckless aggression a lot more reliably.
He played like this in third strike as well. He's only aggressive when he needs to be and in this match up you let zangief hang himself by trying to skip neutral. It may not be fun too watch for some people but that's why he's better than 99.9 percent of players you and me included.
Gouki is strong but zangief has such strong damage potential

Akuma’s balanced rn imo, I like the idea of a glass cannon that dies in three command grabs but kills you off two combos, it makes for some explosive matches

I might be wrong, but it definitely seems like the newer mechanics in SF6 have made characters like Zangief a little too powerful. The fact that he can dash in that quick and hit you with a spinning piledriver and take out half of your health feels kinda broken. I like the newer mechanics, but for some legacy characters it kinda breaks the game.
Gief is completely fine. This is a game where he needs to use the system mechanics to stand an even chance. It'd be agony to play him if you couldn't use DR to either close the gap or to convert stray (standing light kick) pokes into knockdowns. If you want to complain about drive rushing specifically, look at all the other characters that have a crouching medium kick DR combo.
@@MammaSomari Fair point. I haven't played a SF game in years so I don't know all of the ins and outs. But it sure is fun watching these replays.
The drive system wasnt necessary to add to the game, you're right about his dash.
When everyone has these abilities, they start feeling less unique.
EVERY player can move fast around the zone, even Honda. its kind of dumb.
Daigo is mostly the usual Daigo, I'd say Junior either had a real solid run as Gief this time, or got lucky, his reads on Daigo's attack patterns are quite spot on
I hate zangief, he is too strong and broken. But I am happy that he beat this stupid and booooring akuma. 50 shades of hadouken.
Daigo videos really take the fun out of everything.
Daigo's Akuma is good but it the same with chess, solid style is not winning style : no risk no reward. So to open the guard stress the opponent with chop ... then open the guard with no chop but strike, and were are Demon flip ? Do you really think this Gief will punish it by a 100 % ?
Demon flip chop is dangerous against gief, because he can armor it. He can use demon slide instead, but it can be interrupted too lol. Maybe he can punish it 80% of the time, he has ex lariat too, you know.
@@H1ghscor3 of course but when fighting surprise is Lost effective than " he know the answer for this move " Akuma can drive rush mk low drive rush over head hé can fire ball démon Chop spé ans démon flip. It s all in mind, u should play permanent pressure with this arsenal variéty.
