@trinistar1930 I can't say whether she was dating around because I don't know her personally, and I am sensible enough to know that I shouldn't believe every rumour I read or hear about in the media. I also know that not because you see someone with a man or woman means they are involved romantically.
But what I will say is, when a man or woman experience heart break they tend to either withdraw from dating completely or they date excessively. Either way, that's a sign that the person needs to heal.

Same here. I experienced colourism several years back which led me to think that it meant that I'm conventionally physically unattractive for the dark complexion I have. Since then, I took away from that experience, vehemently believing no one in the 8 billion of us or so, would EVER be romantically interested in me enough to pursue my insecure self. Even if they genuinely were and they actually proved it, I would still not believe them at all as I'd been conditioned to believe by my experience of colourism that I cannot be desired. Other than that, I just generally deeply fear they will judge me for all I am once I open up. Hence I keep rejecting people to stay guarded. It feels safer.
