I thought that the airport that they flew above 2:08 was where they'd be landing at, that they were going to make a u-turn and descend back to it. But instead the aircraft made a left turn instead of a u-turn and kept descending further away from it so I guess they were descending to a different airport than the one they flew above.

Hi, the airport they flew over is the old Elinikó airport that closed in the early 2000s. They are descending right over the town of Varkiza towards the new airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” in Spata ! If you google earth the town of Varkiza Greece and then zoom out some, you’ll be able to see the new airport in the distance inland from Varkiza as well as the old one on the left that you noticed during the approach !
