  • So a while ago my Braun Series 5 5070cc stopped working... and shortly after even charging at all. Even though I got myself a Series 9 after some time, I still didn't like the idea of just throwing it away!
I wasn't sure if its fixable (could be the battery, could be the electronics), but since the razor wasn't quite cheap I thought it would be worth spending those 12 Euros on a new battery and give it a try.
And it worked like a charm! It's not complicated at all, was done very quickly and the razor is fully operational again...

Hi, if the old battery is way too drained or even completely broken, the charging circuit might get confused.
Since the new battery was only about 12 Euros i gave it a try and it solved my broken device.
The compatible batteries are sold under various names, e.g. www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0813VL7MW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hi, as for the battery, there are many sources, even on amazon. the batteries themselves are standard, you just need to check which type you need for your model. alos, the head/blade part is available in many places.
other parts might be more difficult to get.

Hi, do you have a multimeter? If so, you could check the voltage on the old and new battery. My old battery was completely dead, so the charging circuit went berzerk as can bee seen in the video whenever i plugged the cable in. Also, what happens if you try to charge at all - before and after the replacement? And lastly, did you make sure the positive pole of the new batter points towards the bottom of the razor?
Of course, the worst case is, your electronics and not just the battery or charging section is broken.
