I love bluebirds. We have a heated birdbath in our front yard. The birds and squirrels sure appreciate it. I like how you put a twig in that birdbath. I have a similarly designed one in the back yard and need a twig on it to make it easier for the birds to sit on it.
Many of the birds really seem to prefer landing on the sticks, even the larger birds like Bluejays and Robins. After bathing some will perch on the sticks and preen themselves 🙂 Thanks for watching!
I was so surprised too! I live in western PA and never get them before spring. I also have a lot of robins in my trees ..that has never happened. The climate change must really be affecting all the song birds.
@@sandywa3057 I think I've read before that some birds that are year-round sometimes move and remain in certain areas during the colder months... I used to only notice a few bluebirds in my backyard in mid-winter/early spring, then they seemed to disappear. However, I found them in abundance after that at a local park. I figured maybe the habitat/food availability was better for them there, and my yard was just a "stop" along the way!
I thought I had posted a comment..if I had and I said something wrong I apologize. I love Eastern Bluebirds..they are so precious! I don’t see them until Spring though and I live in western PA. You must get them earlier than I do. Did I see a house finch, too?
