This is my first time attempting a video like this. I certainly don't plan to make this a cooking channel, but I thought it would be a fun project that also has some connections to the Sopranos!

Can't wait for you to make Carmella's lasagna, the one with the sweet sausage in little pieces with a layer of basil leaves right underneath the cheese.
How do you say "Janice ripped that off" in French Canadian?
"SACRE BLEU!¡ WHERE IS MÍ MAMÁ¿?"
Ooh that sounds fantastic. ❤
Binging with Babish did that a few years ago, it turned out well except for the whole basil leaves. He suggested chopping or julienning the basil.
Pasta water has starch in it, which, when mixed with tomato sauce emulsifies and coats the pasta as opposed to just resting on top of it. Ralphie was actually spot on with that one.
Yes, but it’s not like that’s some obscure culinary secret. Everyone who enjoys cooking pasta knows that.
@@dewilew2137 i dont think hes implying that its some cool secret that is really is common knowledge, but ofcourse if you watched the show then you would understand that almost every character (ralph included) acts like this with any piece of information or knowledge they can share.
AJ would be happy with there being ziti now
Next on the list - grilled cheese cooked on the radiator
You should've done he garlic with a razor.
That way you slice it so thin that it would liquefy in the pan with just a little oil. It's a very good system
Pure Kino-- warm and convivial host.
This has like pre 2014 comfy youtube vibes to this, in other words - it's kino. Thanks for a great video!
Dude, you did great with this video! Don’t ever apologize on camera for your cooking skills, you did great! Stunod’s now days can’t even boil water, they live on drive thru foods. Here you are throwing down Karen Baccalieri’s last baked Ziti! So many possibilities with this new series of videos. You made my Monday morning, Grazie.
I heard that ziti drowned in tree inches a boiling water
@@BillBraskyy The penguin exibit.

The penguins: so what, no fkn ziti??
The real test is if Janice would steal credit for this meal by bringing it to Bobby and saying it's her. "Janice didn't cook this Bobby. This is Pure Kino's cooking" -Uncle Junior.
Finally answered the age old question "so no fuckin ziti now?" Turns out there is in fact ziti now
There was nothing we could do. Kino was a made man, the Parmesan cheese wasn't.
As a home cook, let me tell you Kino: That is one beautifully made sauce 😋
Great base for many types of meals afterwards, including Ziti
Let me just say, this is way better than I was expecting. It's obviously not just a gimmick, you actually know how to cook this stuff. I also learned a lot of techniques from this one video that my parents never showed me. I'm looking forward to more Cooking with Kino!
Mix it with the relish!!
The apron is badass.
This is not what I expected to see but I already love it.
As an Italian American who loves to eat and loves to cook, i never take cooking advice from anyone who isn’t Italian. But for you I’ll make an exception! You’re great!💯
Video was done well, the Furio/Tony joke at the end really made it!
This is great, especially for your first time doing a video like this. I hope it does well and we can see more delicious Sopranos and other cinematic recipes!
Really love this series. Hope you do more of these!
The book has awesome recipes, hope you do more for this series
Nice 14 hands wine. That's my favorite. More of these videos please!
That was very cool and pro Kino! Explanation is plain and simple, not overcomplicated like other cooking videos I've seen. Feel like I could do this, and makes me want to try it! Look forward to this series as well, like your other content. Thanks!
This is awesome please do more this was so fun and cool!
You should definitely make more of these videos. Loved this recipe
Great vid kino, would love to see you take on Pit Beef from The Wire next.
9:47 That mix drawing of the Greate Wave and Starry Night is awesome. As is the video. Enjoyed it a lot!
Edit: I wonder if the book has that rabbit recipe.
Amazing, good, well presented instructions. Im definitely going to watch this again to Cook for my Gf and I tomorrow!
excited for this series 😭😭
Can't wait for more cooking with kino videos!
My UA-cam feed would have been so boring without you Kino, tnx for the content !
This comment will probably get lost but keep doing this series! Id love to see you cover different dishes from different shows
As a second generation Italian American you did a freaking great job!! But I wouldn’t use crushed tomatoes I would put the paste in the blender with the whole plum tomatoes.
Good thing you didn't use 45 boxes of ziti.
Your voice is enough for me. The fact that, you're doing this, is a good thing. Man i have bad grammar.
Love this idea!!!!
I've been waiting for this lol
Binging with Babish would be proud. Well done Kino
Baked ziti? OVA HERE!!! 👇
THIS was amazing make more of cooking please
Fire 1st entry in the new series! Definitely gonna try this soon. Time to screenshot them other recipes when you show em off. Haha
The Binging with Babish version of the ziti is really good too! Definitely give that a try. When I do it though I use rigatoni and also add more sauce than he does.
Next time make the Stugots Steak. It’s a ribeye made to be eaten after thrown to start a violent encounter.
Thats a boston broil. Are you stunad or what?
Please make more of these dude 😋
Love the video bro, you seem like good people
Bro that looks great!!!
Oh man, definitely you outdid yourself!
Totally forgot about the cooking tip by Richie hahaha
Oh heck yea. Please, make more! Got a good laugh outa me with glass of milk haha
Great job, Kino
I love this new series! I cant wait for your video on how to make a calzone with legs. Or Janices Lasagna; The one with the sweet sausage along with the beef in little pieces and a layer of basil underneath the cheese.
THAT'S CARMELA'S LASAGNA!
@@jakek1735 The Fuq you talking about? You always think the worst of everybody.
@@jakek1735 The fuck ya talkin' about? you always think the worst of everybody, Jake.
Richie in little pieces with pine cones all around
@@kiisseli8086
really!? 😢
This literally looks like the kitchen from Henry Hill's house in "Goodfellas" 💯🤣
Oh wow!! I got this book used on amazon for $6USD a couple of years ago, but I’ve still never used it. I love the stories and pictures from it though. I’m super excited to try Carmela’s mother’s pear grappa pound cake. Dole pears, of course. 👌🏽
Also, nice Dutch oven!
This is fantastic! I own this cook book, I hide my family gravy recipe in it
This great, please post more when you can.
Great job! I have that cookbook and the second one "Entertaining with the Sopranos" I love both of them. When you get comfortable with your skills try the Zepole recipe It's perfect.
I'm having good luck with Swiss basics' moisturizing formula ☝. (Cool video btw)
I've always used Raplhies method, it makes a smooth glassy buttery coat on the pasta.
You did amazing 👏 🥰
Very different kind of content, but I still like it!
Kino, carmelizing onions is pretty crucial. Try it sometime, I think you’ll notice a difference.
You also need to salt your meat . Makes a difference.
Taste throughout if you’re concerned about over salting
14:00 "let me buy you a drink" *urine trickles in glass*
Now that's a really nice looking kitchen
I felt like you add too many onions but it's still a very good sauce.
Half a fucken tray in there!
This is easy as hell, I'm going to do this!
I wonder if the book came out early in the series because early on Janice did have a flowerpower visage
Nice man!!! You should do Chicken Parm with Zetti next!!
Awesome video !
Next on the menu will have to be the dish from "Goodfellas" and remember to slice the garlic very thin.
Pure Kitchen
You should do a video on how to make grilled cheese off the radiator
As someone that's gotten better with a knife from working in a kitchen, I have a few helpful points to help get better at cutting. Please keep your nails towards the blade while cupping the onion or whatever so you don't cut off the side of your fingers. Instead of pushing straight down to cut, instead push down as you pull through the veggie, that way you get more leverage as you go (I think). Please correct me anyone if I'm wrong at all, g video though, it looms fantastic and I can't wait to try it!
I work in an Italian restaurant so this is extra fun :)
Honest question. Are the Lincoln Logs in there
There will be no scraps in my scrapbook!
So we finally get the fucking Ziti
Looks so fucking good
_On the next episode of Cooking with Kino..._
Walter White's "Blue Sky" 😃
C'mon Kino, I know you can cook a batch of real 96% pure meff with just a few context clues from a fictional TV show! I mean c'mon dude... Your people built a whole ass actual, _operational_ GUNDAM! That is more impressive than putting a man on the moon if you ask me 🤌🏻🤌🏻
Just a suggestion, don't buy meat from Satriales.
Man, I'd definitely sautee those onions separately and then add the meat back. It adds flavor, imo, and I'm guessing that's what the directions in the book say to do, and they say it for a reason.
Thats cool
I DID THIS TOO😂😂😂 the baked ziti with the little pieces of sweet sausage. Basel leaves under the whatever June said.
I made this following your verbal recipe more or less. It turned out delicious. I unfortunately put it in the oven at 450° for 15 minutes by accident instead of 350°. With some more noodles and a little surgery it was fixed.
I'm pretty sure you're suppose to also put in diced carrots and celery to go along with the onions.
A restaurant I cooked at years ago had a near identical gravy recipe, except we used white onion instead of yellow.
Ir actually came out good, ah salut!
Thank you for making. Now we’ll have Fuckin ziti!
Try a rocking motion with your knife when chopping vegetables… keep the tip of the knife on the cutting board.
Lincoln my logs Kino!!
Where do I get a Satriale's apron???
Can we get The Wire full episode review. I know you did the the season review but I think the full episode like you’ve done with Sopranos and Breaking Bad would be great. Thanks for the content
Well done, you got the first thing right. A wooden spoon!
Love this series. You should wear the hat!
Furio would never drink a Rosé except when dating Carmela behind Tony's back. Heavy dark red, like a chianti or cab.
MACARONI ´S READY!!
Gives me adam ragusea vibes
Gabagool next?🤣
Ovuh he-uh!!
So what? No fuckin Ziti now?
Nobody on The Sopranos would have said "mozzarella" or "ricotta." Maybe the Cusomanos would have, but nobody else.
based milk enjoyer.
Next the blue crystal from breaking bad
nice
