I don’t know how full your garage is but it would be a good idea to start storing your yard sale things in the garage so they are out the basement and upstairs already so it’s easier to get them out on yard sale day

I believe the garage needs to be decluttered and reorganized but a lot of the items are hubbies and I don’t think that he’s on the same speed or has the same time as Mrs Heart ❤

I think garage is pretty full and too cold now for her to declutter it. Probably mostly Hubby's stuff anyway.

Such great progress over the years for you! Regarding the plastic bags (I live in NJ, too, and have two cats) we use potato chip/snack and cereal box liner bags for emptying the litter box. They are already going in to the trash, so why not fill them with more trash. The grocery bags are recyclable, while the chip/snack bags and most cereal liner bags are not. Just a thought. The grocery bags are definitely useful for the yard sale and for putting out stuff when I freecycle.

We also save our empty kitty litter/cat food bags to use as a trash bag in my husband's work room or for when we have something that might tear a regular garbage bag.

I can almost feel how stressed you were when you used to put tubs with paper and candy etc in storage instead of taking time to toss/recycle it. You have come so far and I'm so proud of you! The basement looks awesome. In the futurue, maybe you can have yard sale/operation Christmas child etc (things that are temporary) under the stairs so you don't haave to put it with everything else, but I don't remember how much space you have there... However...it's so cool that you have so much space in the basement! Lots of love!

Suggestions ❤ coming from a place of love.
⚫️ Seperate the sentimental and yard sale completely by having them on opposite walls. Technically since you made room in the Christmas cave you could technically use the extra space to store sentimental until you are ready to declutter them. Maybe it gives you a year to process the emotions? And a timeline to work forward.
⚫️ The less bins you have the less items to be kept? Might help the children also.
⚫️ I can’t wait to see the boys work on their play room :) Some taller bookshelves might be great, can help separate the room a little for them and they are getting taller. Also a TV stand to get the TV and video games off the floor in case of any water issues + functional storage. Use more length of the room and it’ll make the room feel bigger… 😊
    Good video ❤

If you ever have a busy week and can't film a long video you can do a "get rid of 5 large things". An old TV, an old stationary bike that doesn't get used, bulky shelves, old sowing machine... quick and yet VERY satisfying video.

Hoarders can be motivating, but it is exploitation, no doubt about it. Even though folks agree to the filming-most of them are not psychologically prepared to purge their hoard-even with all the free help provided by the TV show. The hoarders are exploited for profits derived from views of the show.

A couple ideas and thoughts on the lamp. Personally, it would be hard for me to get rid of too. From one mama to another. I would try to find a way to keep it. Put it on a little side table or toy shelf in the basement near a play area for the boys. Keep it in a container for memory sake. If it means that much to you it’s absolutely okay to keep it. If later on you decide you can part with it I would take a couple pictures of it and make a sentimental photos album on your phone to go back and look at the items when you want to remember them. I love coming back to your videos every week. ❤ keep up the good work! You’re amazing.

Even here in Germany where eco bags got introduced ages ago instead of bringing them with me I either get a new one (preferably one with a different print) or I try to surpress my horder tendencies and just go shopping with a wheeled trolley since all the shops are in walking distance anyway.

I want to thank you for these videos. I am so happy to have found you. I have two friends with hoarding disorder and I struggled so to understand it -- I guess I am the opposite in that the crowded full spaces are what make me feel anxious -- so I was having such a time trying to be there for them. Now I can follow their thought processes some and it's just wonderful. I would love to recommend your channel to them but I don't think they identify as hoarders so I am not sure if that would be helpful to them at this point in their journey. Interested in your thoughts on that. Take care

I’m excited for when you get to the Halloween stuff! I have a lot of that too. Can you give us a tour of the storage unit and attic?🥰 you’re doing a great job!

This nursery lamp is so adorable. Don't you want to maybe ask your boys if they may want it for their own children?

It might help to Fold the plastic bags neatly and it will take up less space and maybe in a smaller container or just a big plastic bag.
Awesome job for all the hard work and tidying the bed room. Keep going and you are such an inspiration for many 🥳🎊👏

@@ahoardersheart I reuse plastic food containers (specifically the kind Rice Select comes in but i dont see why things like mayo jars wouldnt work) for this purpose. I cram a bunch in each one and have one going at a time. It takes up far less space bc they're being compacted but takes less spoons/time than folding. Maybe that'd work for you or someone else who happens to see this :)

You could use the lamp from the nursery in your craft area? That way you are able to use it and it will make the area more special. Well don’t on another great video ❤

If you think you may or you think your spouse might have ADHD. I highly recommend the book the ADHD effect on Marriage. The book along with steps my husband and I took saved our marriage. The book just brought us awareness and helped us to get the help we need. Highly highly recommend and if the person you believe is undiagnosed read this book to see how to maybe take some steps.

I have relatives who are dealing with the same disorder. I love them but I'm not sentimental at all so I often don't understand and become frustrated. You are so blessed to have a supportive family, especially your husband. You're doing great! Keep going!
