Out of all the 79 series, this is the best. You've actually built it for the real purpose, and not to look good on pavement like the majority of others. But i love that compressor setup for inflating and deflating tyres. That's one thing i haven't seen anyone else do. But i love the paint!
Better idea, put a breather block in your second snorkel and run all your breather lines too it. Now it has a purpose and also moves your breathers to a higher point.
Great vid Uncle Pooley. To save the GoBlock flattening your start battery, wire in a relay triggered off ignition. Then its automatic when your turn on and off the car and save a manual process using an isolator.
Great run thru on the Pub truck, love that colour and the reasons behind the 'why' you have custom built every part of the setout. You also showed what things to consider when building up a rig for dual purpose touring and challenging tracks. Certainly learnt a lot cheers👍
Well smart truck Building a Range rover classic bobtail Engine conversion to Td5 Allisport big intercooler mapped to about 200 BHP Lockers 4 inch lift 35s Still loads to do Your vids give me inspiration and ideas From UK Keep up the good work 👍
Don’t usually comment much…. But I have watched your TIKTOCs and UA-cam stuff. You have a great persona and grasp of delivery. I truly think you have right stuff to be on or make something big of this. Enjoy the future as I feel you will go far. 10/10 👍
Nice upload. The trucks always presented well, maybe a look into how you clean it down, and what products work for you. Star link, what plan do you use? is it a pay and you go and only used when your away? If you've got a hyper flame, if you haven't already done it, the control knobs are super jumpy down low and wont get the burners down low enough - due to the factory grease they put in there. There is a you tube clip floating around of how you can get that low flame and consistent. Its something like (Quick & Easy Coleman Hyperflame Tweak To Get A Low Flame) Nice upload and cheers Jim . If I see you around Finke, ill give you a thumbs up
Bloody awesome rig uncle pooly!!!! Can’t wait to see you guys up the cape. Tarring it up 🧡 You won’t looks back once you’ve installed your cruise control. It’s one of the best things I’ve done to my d22 Keep them coming 👍🏽
Loving it Uncle. Spewing I'm out at work, but you definitely make Sunday nights better mate. Quality content, bit if a chuckle and really informative. Good work bruss
Just an FYI on the portable gas bottles, you can also use ya map gas bottles, which usually can get everywhere and they burn hotter, great for steaks 👌
Pooley do a diesel mechanic tool essentials video and a welding essentials video and a quick run through of what a good shop layout looks like etc where to put your saws and storage and how to get steel into the shop efficiently etc
Hey mate, with your battery running flat I had to do the same with mine but I added a 200amp relay in connection of the ignition power source, works a lot better then a voltage sensitive as the relay will cut out when the key is turned off
That’s a awesome Ute, absolute credit to yourself for the work you ba e done, I love how much he you think stuff out before you build it, so many people are all the gear with no idea, but everything you have e done is for a reason and has purpose! Love the content mate, keep it coming! 💪
This is a well built 79 Ute,I wouldn’t worry about a big winch and having to build a new bull bar I’d put one on the back especially going to the Cape and some of the other wild places you go and i would leave it how it is now 💪💪💪
Gday Pooly, certainly been a shit load of work put in but most of all a boat load of thought, you do see a lot of setups around that are in my opinion well over done with shit that’ll maybe be used once if it’s lucky, personally you only need what’s actually required and used regularly, it’s a top setup mate, enjoy ya trip, cheers
Woa woa back . Disc brake hand brake. Tell me more, I am about to build my shorty 40 and want to change the useless drum shit setup to disc and would love an idea about this. Does it hold well on hills your rig is heavier than mine. And then component choice. Great rig bro love it .enjoy your trip up north.
Hey just a quick question for you would you be able to do a meet and greet at either the park hurst tavern or the new park hurst kfc in Rockhampton? Just wondering would be great if you could
I thought the same haha, then Pooly says 'electronical' before moving into engineering geometry and welding stuff at a servo. I like the fact he's bloody switched on but doesn't have anything to prove to anyone. A true Aussie.😂
Hey mate Can you do a run down on ya front hubs and how much pressure you run it them to keep water out? Do you regulate the air in them what do you use to turn it on

that is an AWESOME idea 😮
New around here. Steller set up. Everything looks amazing and I'm hard-core jealous. One thing I'd suggest. Awning on both sides. Batwing! Symmetry
Great vid Uncle Pooley. To save the GoBlock flattening your start battery, wire in a relay triggered off ignition. Then its automatic when your turn on and off the car and save a manual process using an isolator.
Just sitting down with a fresh zinger box, bring it

Absolutely awesome Uncle Pooly. Giving me some ideas for my tray and canopy!!!
The window motor sound added at the start is why Pooly is top tier!! 😂
The bloke is loveable legend

Such clean built nothing over done or over spend money for no reason, also having stuff because it looks cool is what is truly about !
Nice upload.

Pooley do a diesel mechanic tool essentials video and a welding essentials video and a quick run through of what a good shop layout looks like etc where to put your saws and storage and how to get steel into the shop efficiently etc
that intro was nice and i like the canopy its a touring rig now
G'day Pooley, love ya work mate! What did you end up doing for your battery isolator?
this build is the perfect example of brains, hands on experience, patience and style. nice.
Bloody awesome rig uncle pooly!!!
Hey mate, with your battery running flat I had to do the same with mine but I added a 200amp relay in connection of the ignition power source, works a lot better then a voltage sensitive as the relay will cut out when the key is turned off
had the pleasure of meeting you and serving you awesome bloke off camera too

Ripper video mate gives me lots of inspo for my big strong Aussie boi, keen to see some of the footage from the trip 🤙
Hey lachy, you reckon you can do a vid buildin one of your trays, single cab one? But great video mate love it, keep it up 👍
This is a well built 79 Ute,I wouldn’t worry about a big winch and having to build a new bull bar I’d put one on the back especially going to the Cape and some of the other wild places you go and i would leave it how it is now 💪💪💪
Bloody loving this channel growing! Heck yeah bro 🤙
Went pass you today in weipa I was telling the boys that was your rig🔥💪🏽🤙🏽

Great job buddy 🎉. That colour is awesome 👍
Love the colour of your big Ute keep up the good work and hope to see more soon
Any thoughts on sealing the second snorkel and turning it into a water tank? Would keep the look and make it functional.
If i had tons of money i would buy a 79 series Land Cruiser single cab and i will make it look exactly like Poolys Cruiser because it looks sick.
cant even get past the nitro with out cracking up laughing, this channel could cure depression :)
So that's why you don't go the bucket. Saving weight. 😊
Great rig. Well done.
Love the Cruiser! might be a stupid question but how'd you paint it? Like just spray cans or something else?
Whats the link to that head unit man? If you can find it 🤣 love the content keep up the good work 🤘
Woa woa back . Disc brake hand brake. Tell me more, I am about to build my shorty 40 and want to change the useless drum shit setup to disc and would love an idea about this. Hey just a quick question for you would you be able to do a meet and greet at either the park hurst tavern or the new park hurst kfc in Rockhampton? Just wondering would be great if you could
I reckon the second snorkel gives some ventilation to the inner guard for max aero
cheeky electric window sound edited in at the start there
I thought the same haha, then Pooly says 'electronical' before moving into engineering geometry and welding stuff at a servo. I like the fact he's bloody switched on but doesn't have anything to prove to anyone. A true Aussie.😂
Cannot wait to see more of your own off-road content!!
I'm only commenting because it helps you out. (Finke is a life changing experience!)
Pooly if you come up past Townsville on your Cape trip I’ve got a great 5mtr boat & live near Morrisies creek if you like to go fishing.
Awesome vid mate. Gave me a few ideas. Cheers 🍻
The way you done your rooftop tray height weight touring set up etc everyone needs to take note and learn something Awesome

Ahah you made my day, what would be even more stupid than doing the second snorkel would be hooking it up GOLD solid GOLD
Hey Bruss. What camera and self centreing gimbal you using?
Old uncle Polly looks real serious when he folds his arms ay lol
Hey mate
Can you do a run down on ya front hubs and how much pressure you run it them to keep water out? Do you regulate the air in them what do you use to turn it on
i do love that air clutch in the runva but does that need an aircompressor hook or does it just need a breather line
the picture of the bare metal bullbar and tray looks wicked on the gold !
Loving that paint job
Love These Videos Pooly Keep it up Mate !
Uncle pool, does the stack exhausts make annoyingly loud and droney in the cab while on the long hauls?
Mad setup dude, looks legit with the orange 🍊
With ya stove look up some videos on cleaning the greese out of the dials ive got the same stove and its had to get the flame low enough
Hey mate what insulation did you use in your canopy?
Check out the croc awning mounts they would be the go
I was late with the hangover recovery this week but zinger box has been got
With the snorkels u should have put in two air boxes
Would love to see a tray and canopy build
Any sa trips on the cards? Have to come check out the southern Flinders 4x4 Eco Park
Can you mention the air into the swivel hubs when you get a chance please?😊
Where did you get the canopy from mate?
Have you ever thought about doing a rear winch
Fuck yeah looking forward to the Cape episodes 🤙
Since your other snorkel isn’t hooked up. Could you run your breathers up to it instead
If I had tons of money, I would buy a 79 series land cruiser single cab and I will make it look exactly like poolys cruiser because it looks sick
Pooly, What wheels and tyres are you running on the old girl?
Within 28 seconds i hammered the subscribe button ,grouse channel
I seen you at car builders 4wd meet
