I’ve got a few of these now and they’ve worked in everything I’ve tried them in. Makes sense seeing as CF cards are directly compatible with the IDE bus
Warning, I got this same device and it didn't work for me at all. It has an extra pin that you have to clip off. And when I inserted it into my Toshiba Satellite 440cdt, it wouldn't even post.

An interesting adaptor, if you are in need of a 2.5 IDE., hard drive, then I have a spare IBM., 20 gig drive, it works and it's newly formatted.
