As usual, what an impeccable sense of style you have! All of the various tablescapes were like something out of the most beautiful Christmas dream anyone could have! My favorite? As a woman of Scottish heritage living in the US, the Christmas Traditional tablescape was a feast for my eyes and evoked memories of time in the UK where I was born! Thank you, Suzie, for the inspiring echoes of Christmas at its best!!
Hello @Cilleto Fox for your lovely comment and sharing your lovely memories of time in the UK. I am so glad this video resonated with you. Thanks for supporting our Channel. Suzie xx
Hello Danna, it is such a rich and nostalgic style. I am glad you found elements in each style that you appreciated. Have a beautiful Christmas and healthy & happy 2023. Suzie xx
Hello Melinda, so interested to hear your favourite style is Rustic Nordic. It is such a relaxed and natural look, isn't it! Is that how you are going to style your table this year? Wishing you the most wonderful festive season. Suzie xx
This is a most exceptional video. By far one of my favorites. I don’t get to decorate that much or I have not in years when it comes to Christmas. Your videos are informative and usable. I like to take your ideas and see what I can find at the flea market incorporate that to have a more eclectic table scape or at least that’s my idea someday lol you’d be surprised at how many China sets from Japan silver and crystal that are sold for literally pennies on the dollar. I recently acquired a 63 piece porcelain china set from Japan for $15 at a local flea market. I also found a set of etched champagne glasses for one dollar! I couldn’t believe it. You have an exceptionally Well Thought video. I love it. I will be looking for your 2021 holiday video Thanks for great ideas.
Hello @bwiseok, always so lovely to hear from you. I love your comments about finding what you can at flea markets and repurposing and reusing your finds to decorate and style. It is often those 'fossicked and found' pieces that make your displays unique and welcoming. I appreciate the support you have given to our channel this year. Have a wonderful Festive season. Suzie xx
@@suzieandersonhome you are so welcome!! Your channel is my favorite of all the channels I watch. I share your videos with family members. They are exceptionally made and extremely useful. Waiting for your videos are like waiting for my favorite magazine to come out. I seriously get up an hour early brew my coffee and curl up in my little camper sofa and watch the best UA-cam video ever!! I may be watching this video again. It was great.
Thanks Rob for your lovely comment. I am really pleased you found the ideas interesting and inspiring. Have a wonderful Festive season and a fabulous 2023. Suzie xx
@Suzie Anderson Home : I stumbled upon your channel and I'm really enjoying it. I like the soft jazz background accompaniment. I have a suggestion for your next video. Interior design for homes in desert climates. For example in the USA, states like Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, etc. Traditional and modern/contemporary. Elements of Mediterranean can work but without the coastal influences. Would enjoy seeing what you suggest! Thank you!
Happy festive season to you too Vivien. I appreciate your support and look forward to bringing you more content in 2023. Let me know if there is anything you'd love to see. Warm regards Suzie xx
Thank you, it's nice to see something from prior year which is different from the present which everyone is decorating with , Marry Christmas to you and your family .
I love and look forward to the surprise yet timeless design you always presented to us Susie. They are all divine. I’m leaning toward the emerald green that will be flexible to incorporate traditional, Nordic, Botanical and rustic in the future. Merry Xmas to you and the team.
Thanks Kimberly for your comments. I hope you have a gorgeous festive season in Santa Fe. I'd love to visit your part of the world one day. Best wishes, Suzie xx
Hello Julia, great question! There are a few tips. Firstly select dripless dinner candles. Although the wax will still melt and drip they are designed to allow the wax to drip smoothly down the side of the candle and quickly harden before reaching your tablecloth. Keep the wick clean and trimmed to 1/4 inch. Ensure your candle is sitting evenly in the candleholder and not at an angle. Avoid using dinner candles in rooms with drafts as this makes the candle wick flicker and burn the wax unevenly increasing the chances of drips. For Pillar candles, on your first burn, let the pool of wax reach within ¼” of the outside edge, then extinguish. This will set the candle's “memory” for all future burns. You may like to 'hug' your candle at the end of the burn (see video in attached link) to aid in perfect future burns. Avoid continuous short burning times; this will cause the candle to tunnel, resulting in a drowned wick and wasted wax. For further protection you can use a glass candle guard that slips over the dinner candle and catches any drips and consider using an under plate or mirror panel to further protect your tablecloth. Hope some of these ideas help! This is a great link. ua-cam.com/video/HupibXnyYGs/v-deo.html
Hello Dana, most of the products shown in the video are from our store Suzie Anderson Home. Some of the foliage is fossicked from our garden or from fallen branches in our local parks. It's amazing what you can find in your own home, flea markets and homewares stores to recreate similar looks. Have a fabulous Festive season. Suzie xx
3:11 what TF is this? Your plate on those slabs of wood would make it awkward to eat from. I can see the plate sliding off this into your lap. Function over aesthetics should be the norm. 4:55 is this a dinner table or a pile of decor you haven't put away yet?
I love and look forward to the surprise yet timeless design you always presented to us Susie. They are all divine. I’m leaning toward the emerald green that will be flexible to incorporate traditional, Nordic, Botanical and rustic in the future. Merry Xmas to you and the team.
