    I love he paid credit to the intern Chris & the body double. So many people don't like to acknowledge the "little guys" as it were. Very classy.

    Amazing how they made so much out of such a simple story or idea. To be honest, it had been a long while since a movie made me cry like this one did. Above all it's filled with truth and wisdom. I loved this one!

    now I'm interested, the fact that it was made for such a small budget tells me that the director had to be creative because he can't afford not to

      you mean the small budget he had left after hiring all those actors and actresses

    One of my favorite movies ever. It is not pure action, it is not pure drama, it is a mix like real life. All of us need to leave out our drama in the middle of life happening. Love Jodie. Her character is so tough, and at the same time so fragile.. Love.

    The story is reminiscent of the German house fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolve" by the Grimm Brothers. The origin was probably France. In place of grandmother's house in the forest this time grandmother's hotel in the city jungle. The grandmother cares in her house injured forest animals of any kind. Maybe Red Riding Hood will eventually become Rambo in the forest.
    Even with a low budget you can shoot very good movies.
    👍

    Why would Jodie Foster need a body double for such a simple walk on scene?

      I hate to say it but I guess it's "beneath her" If a shot isn't going to show her face, then she doesn't want to be there.

      Small budget, remember? They did not have the money to have her in every scene. Having a double wherever possible made it cheaper.

    Wtf why you used a actor double in that scenee??

    • @elliemoore7099
      @elliemoore7099 6 років тому +11

      I think it would be to save time for Jodie Foster- otherwise she would have to be hanging around for a shot that only lasts a few seconds, doesn't add loads, and would take longer to set up than to film- and using doubles means it's easier for the actors for non-essential shots, like they use stand-ins for over the shoulder shots a lot for a similar reason. It would also probably save money as well.
