@@abigail9726 Yes! It can be people who you met on other islands, nook islands, or just villagers who fill holes that you have in types! There are I think 10-12 villagers in your move in queue at all times, and when one moves in from the queue I believe another one is added.

I recently cleared out three villagers and went on a villager hunt too! I was lucky to find Ione, Shino AND Cephalobot. They are all happily living on my island now. I love this content and it’s really fun to see Julien’s play style. The chaos is real.

If you get repeat villagers while hunting on mystery islands. Reset your cache. Under systems>formatting options. It doesn't delete any data you have saved. It kind of "reshuffles" the villagers you see.
I’ve been watching these streams and lately I also have been villager hunting. It is the most satisfying sensation when the background track links. Better than the DVD logo hitting the corner I swear.

It's like people forget the game is about relaxing on an island, giving it your own creative touch, and making friends with NPCs that you like. I don't understand why the same people jump from channel to channel, expecting the same top10 most popular villagers perfectly placed on identical cityscape islands. As an example, I have Renee as my starter and I'm probably never getting rid of her. But seeing others smack her with nets, have their own little "dramas" with her when she does something dumb or is rude... it's funny to me because it's a game. The virtual rhino lady isn't going to be offended that I'm not riding into battle for her infinite parallel universe versions. Seeing someone leave your fave behind on an NMT island really shouldn't make your blood boil. Some of the comments I see on ACNH content sound really obsessed and unhealthy. There are 413 villagers - it's impossible to have a villager combo that no one complains about. I hope you keep enjoying the game your way. I like watching these. It's comforting and fun to watch you find your way around the game and rejoice with you when you find your favourite villagers. Or laugh when you make those quick turns back to the dock/out of the tent like we all do. c:

There are some campsite & autofill (when the game fills the home for you) guides you might want to watch but you could trade for the villagers too.
