We head over the Irish Sea to catch up with Jason Doyle and his buddy Stephen as they try to save rape and barley from some pesky pigeons. Jason has a century of birds in his sights and Stephen hopes to match him from a separate hide but with the pigeons wise to the decoys at this time of year, the challenge is on.
Good shooting by Jason Doyle seems to be an understatement somehow ! But this was a nice show/video, Peter, thank you again.

I have very often shot trap cartridges without wounding any bird. They are fast with a lot of pellet. The heads and necks are the targets to reach. The well known rule is never shot a pigeon if you do not see its head. (Fred from France)

technically what he's doing here, ( unless up the North) is illegal as he's not shooting over the crop to protect it.

You are shooting over a harvested crop, pigeon are to be shot over crop to protect it not over crop which does not require protection, so no I'm not incorrect, I shoot myself, know the laws of your own country.

Well, as a French hunter I was interesting in learning what is the Irish way, I did not noticed any difference with others videos from England. Perhaps I have missed something.
