Can you also show how we can put the ESP8266 in AP-Mode (that's access point right?) so that we can connect directly to the micro controller rather than needing a home router. Than could you create a second video on creating a remote from another ESP8266 that connects and speaks to the server? I like the router examples but I'm trying to find ways to take things off my home router and controlling them. I've tried this a few times and can't seem to get it to work :-( I've been able to create the server ESP8266 and can connect and speak to it from my computer or phone but cannot seem to get a second ESP8266 to act as a client and be a remote. You're videos are very helpful and I have been following you for quite some time now! Thank you for all your hard work and sharing your knowledge with us beginners :-) !!!!!!

Is there any detailed document available showing the Code for the Web Sockets Robot? The video seems to just provide an overview of generally how the Web Sockets work but there is not enough information to show anyone how to duplicate your project. Maybe that is your intent....to not give away any secrets? I'm afraid I don't see the usefulness of this (and your other videos) other than to show how smart you are. I don't see any way to learn from your work. Am I just not looking in the right place? If I new how to do this stuff already why would I want to watch your videos? Please explain, or point me in the right direction. Thanks

@@datasith Thanks Cisco. I watched some of your other videos on Web Sockets and am now much more enlightened! Wow! WOW! I am amazed at your knowledge of Web Sockets and realize that I was getting in "way over my head"! My "little mass of gray cells" is just not up to the task. I had better stick with things like "blinking LEDs", "turning relays on and off", "reading and printing sensor outputs". I had hope of doing something like "Regular Guy Mountain Biking" below, i.e., transfering data from one ESP to another without a router but am fairly certain I will never be able to comprehend how to do that with Web Sockets, although I am sure that is theoretically possible. just not for a dabbler like me! Thanks for your kind response and good luck with your future UA-cam related "business efforts"!
