Hello Helen and Pat, lovely to see you Pat as always only trouble it makes me miss my mum more than usual I’ve been thinking of the days I used to take her to the garden centre we’d buy so much you wouldn’t see her in the car she’d be covered in plants I only had a small car but we would laugh Happy memories.

Helen it's so nice you are doing a coffee morning for dementia, my husband has it and as you said its a horrible illness.
He sits in his chair and as I look at him he is a shadow of himself so thank you for doing it.

Hi Helen. How lovely to see your mum again- such a wonderful lady, just amazing for her age and as bright as a button. I love wandering around garden centres when I come to England and they stock so much more than plants, flowers and garden equipment these days. I actually bought a fantastic raincoat in our local one a few years ago.I love to see you both laughing - it makes me smile too and as for the photo of Dolly……. that definitely deserves to be framed and hung on the wall ! So lovely to see you and your wonderful Mum, she's really sweet. Me and my Mum were best friends and did everything together, sadly I lost her in June she was 94 and I am heartbroken 😢 Enjoy lots more with your Mum, I loved the "hello" takes 😂 xx

Hi there you 2 lovelies. Nice to see Mum again.
That's a really worthwhile charity. Dementia took my Mum over 20yrs ago.. She was diagnosed in October & she passed 3 months later. It was awful she didn't know who I was 1 month after she went into hospital.
Things are very different today with the way they treat patients. I hated it & say I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!

So lovely to see your beautiful mum helen, she is as sharp as a tak,lovely to laugh along with you , Thank you for raising awareness and money for dementia helen, my husband has dementia and Parkinson's, unfortunately he's not in this reality anymore which is heart breaking it's a very cruel illness ,but as you said they are making strides thank goodness for progress❤

No chance of getting big-headed with your Mum to keep you in your place. She’s just like mine was 😂. Well done for surviving the Cycle race. I have been caught in that and it’s no fun but at least you saw the pigs. I was just thinking that a couple of times in 10 years is not a lot for pig spotting but then realised that we have been here 24 years and probably haven’t seen them more than 4 or 5 times. The funniest was seeing a big, fat sow lying in the ditch at the side of the road sleeping off her obvious excesses. I was in Lymington Sea Salt yesterday and could happily have bought 75% of the shop ❤️

You two remind me of me and my mum - crying with laughter at the silliest things. Mums in a nursing home with dementia. Fortunately she’s not too bad and still has a wicked sense of humour.

Oh Helen lovely to see your mum. So nice to see you both laughing. What a great cause to help out with. I worked in a dementia care home and it’s a devastating disease. I loved my job and found it very rewarding even tho stressful. Good for you Helen Thanks for sharing. What a picture Dolly looked.

Well done for supporting dementia. Lost a dear friend to early onset dementia in April. He was just 58 and left a wife and two young teenage girls. Went from a musician, master craftsman and head of maths at a secondary school to a man who couldn’t work out how to get back in bed.
That is just tragic. Such a cruel disease.

Helen, really enjoyed that chat with you and your Mum. You don't need to be told to cherish her as it's obvious you and the family already do. You're so right about dementia, it is a very cruel disease. I’ve lost one sister to it and the eldest of us four 'girls' now has it too. She'll be 90 in a few weeks (I was the baby 😅) and although she's in its grip she still has her impish sense of humour. The younger ones in the family all do run/walk charity events for Alzheimer's research which is great. Loved all your bargains. Great ideas for Christmas.

Been out all day with quilting group so, nice to come home and have a bite, - decided to go on computer and check in - there was your Mum and I said oh good. Poured a cup of coffee and cookie to enjoy the video - always love Mum - loved all the little gifts - you found some nice surprises for people, this is the time of the year to start picking up things ,as you see them, to tuck away for December.
