Check out the cubes: www.thecubicle.com/search?q=huameng As of March 10th, 2023 we were informed by Moyu that there is a mold issue for the ball-core version. We estimate this cube will be available mid to late March.
Your website says that production is delayed because the mold broke. If that’s the case you should probably update this comment. One could read this as saying that there’s a problem with the first batch.
Damian is overlooking the important fact that if some of your nuts are purple, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible. No cube should have that effect on anyone.
I got the ball-core version last week and love it! It was pretty much perfect for me ootb and just needed some lube. Will definitely use it at my upcoming comp.
I got this ball core cube too. I agree with you. I lubed it and loosened the screws a little. It turned out to be Amazing. Corner Cutting is Amazing. It's so Fluid and Effortless. I Love it.
Heard a lot of complaints about Moyu using the same adjustment system since 2018 (GTS3), but if it works well and is easily understood I feel that there is no need to change it. In fact it's the manufacturers that change the adjustment system with every successive release (especially the Tengyun v1, v2, v3 and to a lesser extent Gan XS, 11, 12) that can get slightly annoying. The only thing that is somwehat worth changing about the GTS3 system would just be hand-adjustability, in particular, keeping 98% of the compression gear the same, but changing to 2 holes at the top of the compression gear (for the adjustment tool to fit in) into 2 knobs that can be grabbed by fingers. But even then, some people have used their fingernail to turn the compression gear without needing the tool.
@@angel_withaflamethrower I think screws are better than having a fix number of set tensions though. With screws, while you can be 100% perfect, you can make the tensions close enough to not notice the difference, while on cubes with a fixed number of set tensions, they are not always as equal as most people think (Cyoubx has a whole video for that, if not multiple). I have set such pre-set cubes to have different screw tensions settings before because setting 2 on the first face is closer to setting 1 on the second face than setting 2 on the second face, for example. If possible, I would like to see a company experiment with a spring compressor that screws on like a water bottle cap, plus a clothes-peg-like locking mechanism to prevent the spring compressor from sliding unintentionally. (ie you can only turn it when pressed, and it's immovable when you let go)
Hey phill, i have 2 questions. 1. How often should i clean my cube? 2. Is silicone spray good for cubes? Because i dont have lubes and i dont want to wast a lot of money on lubes, and does a cube perfom good after lubed with silicone spray?
I already have the YS3M Ball core. It's 10/10 , and out the box it is better than my Tornado V3, Moyu WRM 2021 Maglev, Super RS3M Magnetic 2022 and RS3M 2020 magnetic and Gan cubes out the box. Barely needed any setup on the YS3M, it was almost perfect. YuSheng did a good job designing this. 10/10.
I have this ball core cube since Thursday I loosened the screws a little and lubed it. I broke it in all weekend long. Did quite a few solves. It turned out to be Amazing Corner Cutting is Amazing. It's very Fluid and Effortless.
This is a question: since the ball core is right there, which means the octopus core is inside the ball, how can I manage to use the dual tensioning tool in the box :D
Jesse Is SO right, There is SO MANY options to choose from and when you are a beginner cuber like I am, too many choices is too much and makes me hesitate so much it makes me want to not buy it anymore in the end... Great video thanks!
I got the ballcore of the YS3M from TC on pre-order. Been using it for a week or so, and it's awesome. I'm not a fast cuber by any stretch, but I still love it. Other cubes I have are GAN365M and original Rubiks cube.
I have the GAN356M as my main right now, (i'm not fast either, i'm still a beginner) how much of an upgrade would the YS3M be compared to the GAN356M ?
@@krokramogus Honestly, I think they are about equivalent. The GAN is bigger but it feels lighter, airier, and more glide-y. The YS3M is more substantial, solid, and the strong magnets and auto homing helps with my ham-fisted flicks better. Honestly, they feel very different and I like switching between them because of that. If I lost one, I'd be more than happy just using the other. So I'd say don't think of it as an upgrade, rather if you are looking for a different feel based on personal pref.
@@d5kenn I see, thank you for the feedback, I also wanted to know if you lube your cubes, cause i feel like my 356M starts to feel pretty dry after a few 100s of solves
@@krokramogus not yet for the GAN, it still seems ok to me after 6mo. I got 3 weight silicone lube for the YS3M and it helps, as the YS3 has more of a scratchy, papery turn feel out of the box (not a bad thing inself). I'll probably try some Mystic or DSM too on it. Will hold off on the GAN while it stiff feels fine.
@@d5kenn okay thanks again, it might just be me, as the gan is my first magnetic cube, i might still not be used to the magnetic force slowing the cube a bit
I’m probably going to skip this cube for now. I’m at a point in my cubing where it’s my current skill level that’s keeping me from being faster and I like having lots of adjustable settings because my needs change as I improve.
Bruh ngl this cube literally feels like an upgrade from the other company's. If u like weaker magnets go for RS3M super ball core(cuz the standard one has stronger magnets. If u want stronger go for the YS3M ballcore
I can vouch for the standard Super RS3 M having strong magnets - way too strong for me after I started preferring weaker magnets over time. I really like the YS3 M BC and don't find its magnets too strong for 333. But for OH, I'm still using the 2020 since it has weaker magnets and is lighter. I'm currently thinking about the spring version of the YS3 M as my next OH cube though - it appears Patrick Ponce mains that one now going by the description in his recent OH sub-9 (2023 World Champs) vid.
