I have a feeling this is basically new infested lore with the whole sacrifice of the people thing but steinx and his entire introduction was so f****** awesome I can't even describe it please d e bring us this glorious world and bring us this amazing Warframe
Been a long time since I heard the name leviathan, much less looked at the thing with any feeling short of 'meh.' This did a wonderful job of showing both just how scary the infested are, but how even more terrifying a warframe is. Kudos, fams
The Leviathan is a sea creature, most often just a very large fish. As such, the name made no sense given the appearance of the creature. Also, the video had no infested in it (other than the Warframe itself, of course.)
@@joshberstecher470 Nothing in the video was in any way 'Warframe' related, other than the cameo appearance by Styanax. None of the characters, locations, or technology, had any connection to Warframe lore.

I am blown away by this. I love how much emotion this had. Not just the video as a whole, but Styanax themselves. Despite not saying a single word, they showed feelings/character that even a lot of vocal characters in other games lack. I really do hope that the rest of the Warframes - past and future - show this kind of development.

Amazed that there's only 50 frames, with as much interesting stuff as the game has, it feels like so much more. Excited to see this one in action! I also agree that I would love to see more animations like this for the WF universe that are not solely focused on the player-character, it's great to get into expanded story elements that add more flavor or plot points that haven't been expounded on in-game yet.
Well, Greek mythology has a lot of figures that fought giant monsters. Seems fitting for a Roman concept to fold out from that. Different yet inspired.
More! Like a frame lore, how they became one. Like I can imagine Limbo while he was still living. He's like a teacher and was a close friend of Margulis. Or a confidant of someone who knew what the tennos were going through.
Hate to break it to you, but the origin story of every warframe is "and then the Orokin seeded their victim with the infestation virus and turned them into a warframe".
I wonder if Styanax got a signature Sword and Shield, too. If not, I will need to start looking into what weapon to run with Styanax... Secoundary too.
I've recently been visiting Warframe again and contemplating how much the Tenno are merely a Hammer of Force in a greater world of many arching plots, how fleeting our connections are with individuals, and yet how memorable each individual I come across are. The animation was pretty cool, and I had some mild nostalgia over the monster's animation and my early memories of Akira. Nice impact for 5 minutes of action and color. So much delivered with limited dialog.
If this animation was DE's way of testing if they should make a series about Warframe, then HELL YES!!! The animation is TOP TIER, and Warframe's lore is RICH!!!! I'm gonna claim it and say "I can't wait for episode 1 on Netflix"
Before anyone guesses his abilities first imma guess it rn, a dash 3:57 , a buffing ability for allies 3:47, a AOE 4:14 , and a exalted weapon 3:55 then the weapons he was holding in the beginning are ones that are gonna ship with him when he comes out.
Instead of a just a dash, it should be two quick steps, then Leonidas kick that ragdolls all but bosses. Have some sound that reminds you of something along the "this is Sparta" line. It'd be a real meme of an ability.
wrong sorry. His 1 throws his spear and impales enemies, with an aoe when the spear hits a wall. His 2 summons his shield to hit enemies and drain their armor and shield. His 3 draws enemy attention to Styanax for a team energy and shield regen. His 4 calls down a bunch of spears to barrage the ground.
Oh my dearest Void soul... this animation made me trembling like in a fever! This is so well designed, so well done, that I wished it was a full bunch of series! For all of the childs! For all of the warframes that exists in the game! God bless me, this is so AWESOME!!!
I have been studying what people would call medieval type weapons and how they were used in history, so it is cool to see a frame based on what I know.
I might read too much into this but I think that's the point. Woman only wants to see her brother again - push emotions away, target first Scientists as well - shoving emotion aside for his goal. And how immoral are his actions. And then there is Styanax who is warframe of course, so he cannot show emotions in any other way than body language. He might be a warrior and a killing flesh-machine, but he's a selfless and honorable man. I know something like move of a hand is a small thing but what is more important to a warrior? Word or action?
@@sirith9157 by emotion in animation, I don't only mean faces, rather the flow of the animation feels non fluid regarding the perspectives at all times. for example what I don't mean here is the originality of the storyboard or the way it's portrayed here, it's just the animation rigidness. could be 3x better at least but this is in no means bad, it's quite the piece. and I'm just surprised they picked up hand drawn animation so well over cinematics we used to get.

A Warframe anime would be amazing
@@Warframe the @Bossboy9540 guy gives you an interesting idea. What do you think about making your own Arcrane-like anime telling us some VEILED story?) We would be so happy about it!
yess
Missed the part where Styanax had to redo this boss fight 50 times to get the rare drops
This game never ceases to amazing me. For a free to play game the quality of some of the content is more than most paid triple A games.
The animators, sound designers, voice actors, and music crew really did amazing on this. Nice job DE.
DE Doesn't bite the Hand that Feeds them, no wonder they are so high up the Charts now.
Just like league. It just goes to show how a supportive community as well as a open dev team can thrive for years
I wish we had one of these for every Warframe and possibly even a series overall... would be so awesome for new players coming in to enjoy the lore before they jump in and become a part of the world.
Or better yet a series or a mini film about each warframe
(Just an idea but it would be interesting to see)
Looks amazing! If possible, please give us an animated show DE!
There is SO MUCH lore, I don’t see why they couldn’t
Hell, an Old War anime would be the bomb
What I want is to see every warframe in there natural habitat before the end of the empire and when the Tenno decided to disobey or whhile they obey the orokin but never reveal what the Tenno is just only see them with there warframe no words needed
Yes please
Bro asking as if they were Valve or Riot lol
The lore is so scrambled in-game. They really need a tie-in to explain a lot of stuff.
Warframe has a story and spectacle to it that I think animation is uniquely suited to capturing. The abstract tale and artstyle that DE has honed over the years would fit wonderfully into this kind of medium and they could make a lot of money doing so.
I have a feeling this is basically new infested lore with the whole sacrifice of the people thing but steinx and his entire introduction was so f****** awesome I can't even describe it please d e bring us this glorious world and bring us this amazing Warframe
You're actually spot on. In the leverian, the philantrophist was interested in infested research, that's why it made the leviathan.
Been a long time since I heard the name leviathan, much less looked at the thing with any feeling short of 'meh.'
This did a wonderful job of showing both just how scary the infested are, but how even more terrifying a warframe is. Kudos, fams
The Leviathan is a sea creature, most often just a very large fish. As such, the name made no sense given the appearance of the creature. Also, the video had no infested in it (other than the Warframe itself, of course.)
@@trexpaddock I believe the land version of Leviathan is Behemoth, no?
@@boopie577 That name would have been a vastly better fit. Well spotted.
@@trexpaddock I believe it was implied the creature, itself, was a type of Infested experiment. If not, what else was it?
@@joshberstecher470 Nothing in the video was in any way 'Warframe' related, other than the cameo appearance by Styanax. None of the characters, locations, or technology, had any connection to Warframe lore.
Finally a gladiator tenno I've been waiting for one of that them for a minute cannot wait
Think you meant gladiator warframe since tenno are the operators/pilots but yeah :)
At 0:10, a closer examination of the mural would have triggered a trial which would have granted Aria a nigh-invulnerable Power Suit.
I would pay good money to see any part of The New War animated like this
I'm quivering with anticipation for the 100th Warframe anime!
I wouldn't mind a warframe anime
I'm interested in this new warframe, as much as I like wizard type frames that just seem to bend the laws of the universe, a knight/spartan like frame is badass as well.
Always been a fan of the disciplined, martial side of the Tenno
lol you probably maining dante nowadays
@@ornitorrincoc1borgue767 I got my wish!
The way it just unleashes it's blades made me feel like it said "MAY THE FLAME OF AERIES ERASE YOU!"
*BY GOD'S LIGHT I SMITE YOU!*
*Mars, Bringer of War intensifies*
We really need more little story/animations like these, they're sooo gooodd
Looks cool. Can't believe we're already on 50! Thank you, DE.
I am blown away by this. I love how much emotion this had. Not just the video as a whole, but Styanax themselves. Despite not saying a single word, they showed feelings/character that even a lot of vocal characters in other games lack. I really do hope that the rest of the Warframes - past and future - show this kind of development.
Absolutely stunning animation, I cant wait to try him out when Veilbreaker drops
When does it come out?
@@-justinbakerking-9108 September
is it really? because you must have not seen any animation ever to make such a claim, what on earth makes this "absolutely stunning", its completely generic
@@Decenium Does it even matter? Just let people enjoy stuff
@@Decenium so people can't admire animation now?
Animation like any art form is a skill that takes years of dedication and practice to master and yes it can be done badly. This really was not that bad.
Nothing wrong with people admiring art. If it's so generic why don't you make an animated production. You'd be surprised to know that just 5 minutes can take many hours and days to complete.
I love styanax design man, specially his weapons, i really want to hop in onto Warframe now, I REALLY WANT TO DAMNIT!
Got chills. Animation, music, sfx, voice acting, everything was so well done.
I can't stop seeing it, I really love Warframe, it's been my life since I first play back in 2014. I cannot be more proud of all of the work behind everything they made. So happy to be a part of this
That was dope omg
keep doing this please
look at all those ppl loving it please keep it like that
I've been playing the game for 6 years, and I am so happy cuz its the first game I truly feel in love from the very beginning. Can't wait for another 6 years (hopefully)
Well damn, this is something I want to watch daily
Amazed that there's only 50 frames, with as much interesting stuff as the game has, it feels like so much more. Excited to see this one in action! I also agree that I would love to see more animations like this for the WF universe that are not solely focused on the player-character, it's great to get into expanded story elements that add more flavor or plot points that haven't been expounded on in-game yet.
5 years playing this game.and I have never been this excited for a warframe , DAMN ITS GOOD
I was shocked to this new level of top quality artwork from a several year old game!!!!
Maan, to stick around for this one....
"keep us close, Tenno, you won't need to spend your orokin cell on me- we will keep you close."
What a strange enemy for a spartan type frame to fight. Looks cool though, hope he doesn't launch messed up like the other frames in recent memory.
Well, Greek mythology has a lot of figures that fought giant monsters. Seems fitting for a Roman concept to fold out from that. Different yet inspired.
The Hekatonchires is somewhat similar to it.
@@nulloperations I more or less meant biological blob type enemy. Fighting giant monsters is totally cool.
Your prayers have been answered, he is absurdly good
Now THIS is the type of thing that makes me want to play a Frame. This was amazing from start to finish. Superb job, guys.
HOLY MOLY that looks amazing. would watch again, and in a ten hour version 12/10
Ngl all the warframes should have a little animation like this specially umbra he fits perfectly with something like this for his backstory
I would like to get more Warframe animations. This one was amazing!
Or a mini movie perhaps that would be better
Doooood we need a full series of this for warframe, this is so sick, the animation was awesome.
More! Like a frame lore, how they became one. Like I can imagine Limbo while he was still living. He's like a teacher and was a close friend of Margulis. Or a confidant of someone who knew what the tennos were going through.
Ya do know the storyline in this clip had nothing to do with the origin of the new Frame.
@@uberfu doesn't make it a bad idea, why not both?
@@uberfu Yes. That's why I said maybe they make one that is based on frame lore. Like frame lore episode: Limbo.
Imagine revenant
Hate to break it to you, but the origin story of every warframe is "and then the Orokin seeded their victim with the infestation virus and turned them into a warframe".
I wonder if Styanax got a signature Sword and Shield, too. If not, I will need to start looking into what weapon to run with Styanax... Secoundary too.
Now I feel the need for that warframe ,and I need it now
That bold red text flashing on the screen reminded me of kill la kill
*Starts playing Pantheon's theme while destroying enemies with Spear and Shield*
Love it, many will main Styanax now!
Imagine this is just the pilot episode of an entire warframe anime. That would be awesome
Can you pls make a short film for every Warframe in this style
Because this was dope as hell
Hold up. @Netflix I'm gonna need you to fund a Warframe show and let the team that made this, run with it. This was so freakin cool! 😎
Got goosebumps... Incredible work!
The music in this is incredible!! I need it released ASAP
If this animation was DE's way of testing if they should make a series about Warframe, then HELL YES!!! The animation is TOP TIER, and Warframe's lore is RICH!!!! I'm gonna claim it and say "I can't wait for episode 1 on Netflix"
My goodness! I love you guys for putting so much effort into the game and lore, I huuuuuuugely appreciate it! This is BEAUTIFUL
The 100th warframe better have a movie
I haven’t played much warframe recently but this makes me want to go back, just the sheer quality of the animation is astonishing
This is brilliant. We need more of this! We also need more MIGHTY SEERS
for the Lotus and the Void please a warframe show would be so awesome
@@brother_sothoth the fact that his 4 isn't an exalteed wpn kinda disappoint me
@@darky1374 yeah i agree, his kit is pretty meh and he's just bland in general.
Oh my dearest Void soul... this animation made me trembling like in a fever! This is so well designed, so well done, that I wished it was a full bunch of series! For all of the childs! For all of the warframes that exists in the game! God bless me, this is so AWESOME!!!
This is why I enjoy being a tenno the lore and combat
villan error # 645: integrate family, friend or love of the protagonist to my final amalgate form, this ever is a bad idea.
I have been studying what people would call medieval type weapons and how they were used in history, so it is cool to see a frame based on what I know.
I heard spears were used to stab people, not sure though
Medieval? I think that type of warrior is Greek, which would place him in antiquity, predating the Medieval period.
wow this was so amazing, I love the story line. It was absolutely golden. can't wait to see more from you. Warframe.
Y'all should do what Riot Games did and just... make an anime. You've got enough content for it, you could tell a baller ass story. Just... DEW IT!!!
The sound in this video is godlike!!! Amazing trailer
although it lacks emotion sometimes, the animation quality overall is insane. I could never think they could animate hand drawn this well suddenly.
I might read too much into this but I think that's the point.
Woman only wants to see her brother again - push emotions away, target first
Scientists as well - shoving emotion aside for his goal.
@@Jan-ichigatsu To be honest, it's unlikely to be the same people doing THIS animation as have done CGI in the past. DE simply and most likely outsourced the animation/storyboarding to an animation company, is all.
That being said, it is a wonderful thing, indeed! I would like to see character moreso than just action for the sake of action, but this WAS a very fun watch! DE never disappoints, imho ^_^
@@Jan-ichigatsu Yeah, I noticed that too. Had they spent a little more time doing some tweaks to the animation, I would've gotten goosebumps. Right now, it does feel sort of rigid
Incredible! Thank you!
Wow, a mix between the Warframe, Fate, Arcane and BNA looks amazing!
Glad I'm not the only person who noticed "Unlimited Spearworks" in action.
Can't wait to get my hands on it :D
This was freakin amazing!!!! Awesome job guys like always !! Spartan-like Warframe count me in!!
*WE'VE COME SO FAR.*

@@Warframe You are all Awesome~💙
Now I kind of really want a slenderman Corpus with an Akira monster as an actual Warframe boss lmao, this was awesome!
4:25 dam they let them keep the monsuno
Everyone please ask for this. So we can get it in the future.
I love how everyone calls warframes “relics” as if they where old and did not at some point topple the entire orocin empire. Warframe were and always will be the pinnacle of their creation. Perfect war mashines
"Mashines"

@@platinumgames1314 potato hydroid deluxe when, DE?
I need so many more of these animated shorts! Hell a full anime of the story would be fantastic. Could take the point of view of non-tenno for the first part with their intro and such, allowing the audience to see a lot of them.
This looks like a mix of Tron:Uprising and Star Wars
How's this " star wars " ???? When does star wars look like this man?
I would pay to watch an anime series of each warframe lore and story. Maybe a movie of the Orikin war as origins. Then perhaps a spin off separate stories of the different factions of the syndicates on how they came to be. So much potential.
Suddenly.. goosebumps. Good job, guys, very well done! Thank you for this piece of art!
Can’t wait for Styanax’s prime version
Great now I want this for every single warframe :/ That was so beautiful I can cry.
I saw the very first images being almost still and thought "Oh, so it's not really anime, more of a slideshow. Still, very cool" and then you immediatel knocked it out of the park and proved how naive I was to ever doubt you. Spectacular job, you never fail to surpass my expectations
bruuuuuh I wish we had an actual warframe animated series. I'd binge watch the heck out of it. also, Styanax deserved a unique spear and shield melee weapon instead of a speargun for sure.
The second one I heard the words Ascension and then everything goes dark and The elevator lowers, I was sold. That was beautiful cinematography
The weight of the combat abilities is reminiscent of a FATE anime. 37/10, keep making anime forever thanks.
I'm a huge fan of the Spartans who lived hundreds of years ago. I carry their shield (the aspis) as a key chain. I hope DE has made this warframe just as formidable as the Spartans long ago.
Since this Warframe has that Spartan look I was expecting for a "THIS IS SPARTA" kick.
I hope the spear and shield is his exalted weapons that would be fire in my opinion.
I would love to see them make an animated series with this style of animation and story about Warframe in the near or distant future, taking advantage of all the lore that this game and its narrative have
I want the music in this trailer.... Its just peak.... peak of what? idk. But it slaps.
if this had multiple season that surrounded around each quest, this would be beautiful anime. its already good please expand on this.
Thanks for not giving us a mindless grind to get this frame, all new frames should be a login gift, primes can stay a grind
