Aloe Vera , onion juice& rice water really works. All things don’t work for all people. Knowing how to care for the hair is very important like you said. Eating healthy is very essential at the same time these treatments works a lot. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙏❤️🥰👏

Onion juice treatments are not really a trend. It is apart of Ayurveda. It's very helpful to people who have bald patches (alopecia). Great video. Especially for those out here trying everything without true understanding.

Agree sis, I use Onion juice on my hair and I love how it makes my hair soft and shiny, I am 45 years old with no grey hair, and I think the mixture of Onion juice and coconut oil does that to my hair. What's more, it keeps my scalp clean and free from itchy and no dandruff what so ever. So yes 100% for using onion juice on my hair, I use it in mu preshampoo treatment with coconut oil. Love it 👍

I agree with you. In the beginning of my hair journey I was doing every trend out there. Rice water was giving me protein over load which resulted in breakage.. but once I stopped following the trends, I started doing what my hair likes… I still seal with a oil even though the natural hair community has banned oils and butter… my hair is a few inches from my bum… and thanks to UA-cam, I see that thigh length hair is what I’m shooting for now..
And yaaassss everyone wants a PrOdUcT tO gRoW tHeIr HaIR… when NOTHING GROWS YOUR HAIR! Hair GROWS unless you have a real medical Illness/condition…and our men is all the proof we need to see that hair grows regardless of how you take care of it… if not they wouldn’t need to go to the barber shop every two weeks to maintain a style at a certain length and they do the bare minimum. Majority only shampoo and condition… Those products only help in retaining the length and stopping your hair from breaking. I’m tired of seeing all this false advertising. And the poor people 5hinking the products are growing their hair when in reality, they are finally taking steps to take care of their hair by applying the right products and keeping their hair moisturized …. When people ask my secrets for my hair growth I say: TIME AND
    MOISTURIZE HAIR
It took me years to learn what my hair likes and don’t like, and it took me years to grow my length. But I don’t do all those crazy trends, and my hair is always moisturized… dry hair breaks !

One of the best video to develop natural hair knowledge. Thank you Charity. I do deep conditioning sometimes with egg avocado honey and coconut oil. But as you rightfully said my main focus is to have a well balance diet, at least 2 litres of water everyday, exercise regularly. And generally just commit by body to God. Recently I saw a lady on UA-cam have a big chop because she has damaged her hair due to thses excess treatment over the years.

Hey love. Years ago I tried rice water, onion juice and aloe vera. They are great for hair growth if they are used correctly.
    My experience:
Rice water helps to soften my hair and define your curls. It also increases hair volume.
Onion Juice: It gave me darker and straighter hair. It also increased my hair volume and gave added shine to my hair.
Aloe Vera: This broke my hair significantly. It also itches my skin.
Summary: You just have to do what works for you. I agree that the bandwagon trends are a no no. They tend to cause more harm than good.
Keep it simple. Grease and water all the way. Thanks for this video.

For about the first two years of my natural hair care, I had no products because I didn't know where to get them and didn't really have money. Aloe vera saved me countless times, I absolutely needed it to detangle my hair. I did many other DIYs too and found them helpful. These days, it's easier to just reach for a product but occasionally, I still use stuff like aloe vera like I did on Monday when retwisting my hair. I also add honey to my hair and body butter.

The one thing we absolutely neeeeeed for consistent hair growth placed topically on our heads is WATER. Daily is best. I presume that the lack of doing this by so many melanated women (to preserve styles, etc) is resulting in slower growth..yes, nutrition is paramount as well...and certain oils can help but WATER is an absolute Must for topical hair growth. 🥰

I honestly have used most if not all of those things especially more in the beginning of my natural hair journey because I had time in my hands ✋ but as I continued in the journey I learnt that less is more and I cut ✂️ down on what I do to my hair. Besides I can't stand the smell of eggs 😒 on my head. And sometimes they cook when you're washing them off with 🔥hot water 💧. And sometimes getting most of those things off is a struggle 🙃 and the hair smells....I have nothing against them but I have just moved from them. And am not saying I would not use them either but at this point in time I don't have the time 😁. As always thanks for sharing your views. God bless you 🙏

In tropical countries like Haiti were the mass population don't have the capabilities to use products, they go to natural things. My mother used aloe vera in my hair when I was a kid and I am over 30 now, so it's not really a trend. Essentially, whatever works for you, like I don't use rice water because it doesn't work for me; but these so called trends are not new by any means whatsoever.

I am the first one to say i tried all of these crazy trends aka a loy of these ayurveda products. I will go back to doing the basics. I find my hair still growing. I will still also maybe continue to use certain things to still incorporate and will continue eating my food. Soon when i get a chance, i will be purchasing from u. I love how u incorporate coconut oil in your hair. Esp as a deep co. I was one of those that used coconut in my hair faithfully, and my hair was healthy, thick, shiny. I would say refrain from trimming for now. Nurture your hair and allow it to grow out.
You may examine the ends of your hair to detect split ends - the hair strand will literally be split into at least 2 at the ends.
To prevent split ends, moisturize your ends consistently. Tuck the ends of your hair away. Limit wearing your hair out too often. Deep condition at least twice a month.

Rice water has had my hair grow to my waist super fast and thicker, as well as the other foods you mentioned work really well. Not knowing when/how to properly apply the products and feeling uncomfortable of course will deter your hair growth process. I tried a lot of those things . I can say none of it worked the only thing it did was stop my hair from growing healthy and thick. All the while caring for my 3 sons hair without any of those products, just using grease shampoo and sometimes a conditioner there hair is flourishing. I am amazed at their growth every time I do their hair. Warning! Don't waste your time with any of it. Just keep it simple.
