I have a feeling the dragons rising and the hands of time intro are a case of budget they got their moneys worth for 10 seconds of time, if they had a bigger budget it would be longer but the hands of time is literally just a still. a singular 3d art space as the camera zips around and thats it. its just camera fx not visual fx but everything else besides the season 1-2 intro i agree id personally put possession at 1 and skybound at 2 and tournament of elements at 3
I love love love the oni trilogy for its plot visuals music and characters absolutely everything including the intros (my fav ones are hunted and sog not that march if the oni one is bad but i just love the animation style and vibe of the previous ones) tho i also love weekeend whip intros sm 🔥 the only time i could skip the intro is seasons 11, 13 and 14
I put seasons 8-10 and the other ones without the Weekend Whip or any lyrics in last place from worst to best respectively just because they aren’t the ones you would intentionally listen to other than to watch the show
Love the music in the island, and possession is easily number one, whole season is perfect theming for a show to watch during late October (the best themed game was Lugis mansion 2 for the game version of best Halloween theme). Number 3 or 2 is the season 2 introduction, when Lloyd Garmadon turns into older Lloyd Garmadon and we get that beautiful fancy intro, and when his character starts being taken seriously now that there isn't a recently mature but still whiny child with them.
At one point I did actually briefly consider including decoded and wu’s tea’s intros but I ultimately decided against it just to keep the list to the main series intros yk? If I were to include them tho then they’d probably be in the lower half of the list just cause there’s not all too much to them compared to the one’s on the higher half. Great question!
