- In Patricio Guzmán's most recent film, Nostalgia for the Light, the Chilean filmmaker points his camera toward Chile's Atacama desert, where astronomers, archeologists, and the relatives of Augusto Pinochet's disappeared all intertwine in a search for the past and the present. In this interview, Guzmán speaks about his new movie, nostalgia, Chile, the Latin American "pink tide," filmmaking, and the need for an audio-visual revolution.
The interview was held in New York in March 2011.

Very intelligent man and the way he describes the corrosive ways of the media applies in all countries. Dumbing down seems to be the norm, unfortunately.
Patricio Guzman: fuente de mucha inspiracion.
