Love these old tunnels and brick work. Always makes me think of the hard working men who built them. Although wet still standing after all these years. Thank you for sharing . Grit vlog and filming .

Unfortunately a few years ago a teenage boy lost his life inside Silverdale tunnel - exact circumstance unknown but its better to be locked up than claim any more lives.
@@TrekkingExploration That's a good idea, these tunnels deserve to be highlighted especially when you consider the graft that went into building them, not to mention possible lives lost.
Great video ive subscribed your channel i love history and about railway history i remember the railway station at Newcastle by the hotel i just about remember it and i can remember being on a double decker bus at age 7 going over hanley train station love this since age 7 great video 👍👍
Alright a new Trekking &Towpaths video..... YEA..... I see you got my red brick house in the video at 11:03, "yea--I wish" Looking forward to the rest of the adventure. Thanks for posting.
Great video of this trek first time I’ve seen this I wonder why they didn’t carry on with the footpath unless they ran out of funds to carry the footpath on how many miles long is that section from where the track is left and to where it ends I’m surprised no one back then didn’t come up with a idea of a heritage railway line on that stretch it would be great to see great video 👍
If you or anyone else is interested there are a couple of videos on you tube one a cab ride in class 60 to silverdale colliery and the 2nd the last coal train filmed in what he reckoned was 1999 due to taking stockpiled coal even though silverdale colliery closed in 98.
A fantastic re video of the disused Silverdale tunnel. Thanks Ant! Cheers Ant! 🏴🙂👍🇺🇸

Nice to see this as a separate entity on video, I just love the fact that the track is still there.
I thought it deserved it's own video too. I might do the same with Keele 😀
