  • Just a quick ride through my local area and testing the Sena SMH10 with the new Arai Corsair V Jonathan Rea race replica helmet. Not happy with the quality, basically I think it still sounds like crap but I would appreciate any feedback, comments, suggestions please guys and gals...

Its sounding pretty good. You getting better Highway sound than me.
I'm running a Sena 10C and I had to triple up the windsock. The only thing I had to do was remember talk softly. I still get wind noise but it has more to do with the RC51 and the Gear driven cams and the way the wind comes off the windscreen.

Thanks for the comments - appreciated. And yes I'll take your advice on board regarding my level of speech so I get the best recording 👍

Nice job bud, good to see you back on 2 wheels! The sound had a bit of a echo at the start but got better as the vlog went on, a fair amount of wind noise but I'm guessing that's from your super airy helmet, I tape up all air ducts near my mic and that helps a lot. Funny you could smell the marryhooanna whilst riding 😁 let me know if you get any trouble from the new neighbours and I'll come over and give um a bit of good ole lock stock n 2 smokin british barrels! 🔫 💪🔫 Ride safe brother! 👍 😁

Yer cheers bud, the sound wasn't perfect like the BMW helmet but I'll just keep on working it until it sounds okay to me. Hehe, yes were not far off with our summer, only a couple of weeks away, so the super duper airey Arai will be needed to keep cool and slightly sane although I'm not looking forward to the sweat pooling in my boots... :( Oh and yes, will keep you in mind when the next offensive smell is enountered on my travels. Keep well, ride safe and we'll talk again soon... :)

Yes mate, its been approx. 5 - 6 weeks and it's was a different world as all I experienced was pain, so to jump on the ol' girl and blow some "cob webs" out of the system was fantastic... :)

Oh and quick question - How did you find the sound quality...?

+RM K Sound was fine.....but like everything else....with a little bit of fettling....it might sound even better.....but fine overall bud.

Yes agreed, the BMW helmet took nearly 6 months to get right, now the new Arai will probably take the same amount of time to also get right - thanks for the comments...

    from Canada:
....That actually sounded quite impressive...even at 150mph or what ever your BMW took you to.......- and your film production is very high quality..:
    Now make a documentary.......
    I have a few ideas.....
    thx: CS

Glad you liked it but the sound was shit - but not to worry I've perfected the sound in the BMW System 6 so will use that helmet to vlog. Okay so what's your idea?, remember viewers get very bored after 5 mins so a doco would need to take that into consideration - but interested in your idea's... :)

PS...I recall a freak Douglas Fir...that was not far from me.....
It was cut down in the '30's....but stood unbelievably at 465'.
The Redwoods at most are 300'......Your Mountain Ash were
reportedly huge....what-ever is left of them.....
-but a captive audience would be gauranteed here......
      thx: CS

Are you sure you have the microphone facing the right way? There is an arrow on the flexible arm that has to face your mouth. Man does that sound terrible. For a comparison see my video from yesterday recorded on the Sena20s and Sena Prism. ua-cam.com/video/okzpneIAPLw/v-deo.html

Eric you're a champion, yes checked the microphone and guess what?, the fin was placed outwards, so it's now been rotated and I'm heading out for a ride in the morning which I will video and also give you a "shout out" - cheers mate... :)
