The Liverpudlian accent sounds like a cross between the dialects of Ireland and Wales, at least to my North American ears. The old New York accents were a mixture of Cockney and Irish. My grandparents had very heavy Brooklyn dialects and sounded a little bit like Paul and Ringo sometimes😊

@Gianni Isaac Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hyperbole? "Most people were in a band". I remember it well. Traffic was stopped and most shops were shut because everyone was strumming and drumming away. The army had to be called in but it was too late; the whole city was taken over by the Merseybeat.
Sadie didn't have casies he came from the one in Limes street opposite the station and then went to the sefton arms next to the globe now calle coopers, if my memory serves me right
+lliambunter The Caledonian on lime St entrance with a back entrance down the stairs and come out at the side of the fish market. Sadie was also in either The Dive or The Dart. before they were knocked down along with The Old Royal .
+lliambunter Miss Fontain, Wouldn't call him that to his face tho. Saw him in the Caledonian one night and he was dipping his comb into some guys pint and combing his hair. My girlfriend at the time couldn't take her eyes off him, had to tell her to stop staring or the both of us will get filled in. But the whole area was great. fond memories
