- NOTE: This video was taken in 2012 at Bedford & Lafayette Avenues in Brooklyn. This video has been enhanced with better audio for a more enjoyable listening experience, as the old audio quality was trash. There will be more videos being reuploaded with much better audio than before.
Seen here is Orion VII CNG 7618 operating on the B68 to Coney Island making its way through Coney Island Avenue.

Cool, brings back memories from when I was in Middle School, used to ride those and the 1998/99 C40LFs on the B67/B69 from the 7th Ave F/G station to my school. Those buses were the best on them IMO, the B67/B69 route practically never ran good but when the next bus was one of those you could hear it from half a mile away if it was quiet enough, really liked them.
Ah, the Orion VII OG CNG..... one of MTA's best buses of all time. Yet, it's a real shame that they had to retired from service..
They weren't the best....but certainly not the worst. I like them, but I wouldn't go as far to say all of that......They were the most costly buses to maintain out of the entire bus fleet. They also had a ton of problems in cold weather, as the majority will not start up below certain temperatures. It's also not a shame that they had to be retired since their tanks were past their expiration date, so it had to happen regardless.
@@Caitsith810 I know. I was just saying that because I really miss these buses. These buses were my most favorite.
I remember how much I miss the Orion VII.
Nice with the original scheme the new scheme started in 2013 I believe
It was about a year or two later. Starting with the XD60.
Oh my God that takeoff I'm gone
That’s not Bedford and Lafayette 😂
