I don't dislike Tyler...but at times he comes off badly.

My wife and I have been binging this show, and have made it to season 7 so far. We couldn't stand Tyler when he first came on the show, but we've actually grown to like him and really dislike Dave. Whether you like Tyler or not, the kid can fish. And he outworks practically everybody to catch them.
I really want to like Dave because he is a good fisherman, but he's such a pretentious egomaniac also. He takes credit for success Sandro and Geordie have without him, and he can't take what he dishes out. When things are going his way he's always the first to brag about it over the radio to the rest of the fleet, but if anyone throws the least bit of shade in HIS direction, he acts like a baby.
I know most reality series are mostly for show, and with that said I hope Dave isn't as big of a douche in real life as he is on the show.

I think Tyler is right about people taking themselves too seriously. I also can understand some of the others in that what they are doing feeds their families. But they dont go around acting like gangsters with people who will put them on their backs.

I'm with Dave. These guys are trying to make a living, not "have a good time" as Tyler says. Tyler is, as Dave says, a "bad adult"... (followed of course by Tylers girly little laugh) And his (Tylers) antics with Ralph... again, Tylers a little boy who needs to grow up.
