This is unique! I don't think there has ever before been an eruption this close to a population center, yet small enough where people could approach it so closely. What an amazing sight it is! I don't know you guys feel, but this makes me realize just how powerful the Earth is, and how small and insignificant I am!
You are right. Zaida Puerto Rico
Was going to say that and so bang on, and no hobbit in sight, amazing 😉
Truly humbling.
Amazing!!!!! The Power of God!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s not smart to get that close to an eruption, especially without proper gas masks and special suits. Probably the biggest threat to these people are the toxic gasses that escape.
This will never get old. Nature is so beautiful and majestic.
Diamond roil!
A huge THANK YOU to the people of Iceland who produce these videos.
Thank you from Pittsburgh.
Amazing!
Absolutely mesmerizing.
Took the words right out of my mouth.. incredible
Thank you for sharing this. It is just so frighteningly beautiful. Somehow majestic at the same time. Thank you 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thank you for sharing this footage, absolutley stunning and amazing, wish I could see it in person.
For every reaction there is a equal and positive reaction something must be collapsing or sinking
Nope , too dangerous. Volcanoes are unpredictable 😌
Back in the day! Brings back memories of long ago... Wait a minute! That was only a month ago?!?!?! Seems I forgot the spectacle of all those volcanoes spewing up fireworks on a continually glorious barrage. The GIANT we now know and love wiped out my memory. Thank God I can go back and look at some good old Gutn Tog videos and remember the old days 😉. Thanks, buddy!!! ✌️🇮🇸❤️🇺🇸
It’s incredible that volcanoes are erupting and regular people have this kind of access to it.
Your sister wouldnt be mary ?
Its kind of frightening to think about.
It's incredible that people with children are that close to an active erupting volcano!
It's going on about 30 minutes south of Iceland's capital city.
The problem isn't about regular people having access to view it, but keeping all those regular people far enough back that they don't YOLO themselves.
There's a lot that can go wrong this close to a volcano. And if it does it might happen fast.
Yes - if this was happening in Australia the govt would fence it off at a 5 mile distance and have cops patrolling it.
And nature continues to show power, greatness and beauty. Incredible, all this magma produced in the depths of the Earth.
Lava marmalade 🤣 that comment was perfect!

Amazing footage. You are privileged to be there. I have volcano envy. Great video.
In Spades!!!!! Dang.. so want to be there.
I am so glad Iceland continues to respect people's FREEDOMS 👍🙏🏻👍🙏🏽👍🙏🏼👍
Yes .... one can be free to also be stupid.
Preach! ❤️🌎
In the U.S. you would be put in jail for getting to where you could actually see it. You have to rely on the party controlled news.
@@view05nys -- It is the right of every Viking to die with a sword in his hand in a lave lake, and, while doing so, mock the *truly* stupid people who have never really lived, and so are barely alive at all.

Truly spectacular!
The earth is a true Beauty and Beast!
I'll never tire of watching!
Thank you!!
Haven't seen a video from this vantage point before. Very cool. Thank you GotnTog.
More awesome coverage of the greatest show on earth. Thank you once again.
Thanks again for your fantastic filming. The cone is weak as it is composed largely of spatter particles that build up and are not bonded together. You can see the almost powdery particles inter-layered with larger pieces of hardened flow. As the cone build up vertically it gets weaker unless it also grows horizontally enough to support it's sides. As the very heavy and violently moving lava pool grows larger and slams around the inside of the cone, it eventually overcomes the weak cone and pushing it outwards. I suggest that you tape a piece of foam over your cameras built in microphone to create a cheap wind guard, or get a remote microphone with a wind guard. This will remove a lot of the winds noise and allow the sound of the lava to be heard better. all my best to you and your willingness to hike out and make such great videos.
Thank you for reposting last year's video of this amazing eruption 🌋. 🙏
strangely satisfying to watch..............mesmerizing even.
Incredible. Thank you for sharing the footage all the way through, especially for those of us who can't be there.
Great videography! Thanks for sharing!!
This is better than when I dropped my first hit of...in 1977. WAY better colors and waves of colors and the shooting of colors, in waves, through the air, that's full of colors...sorry, had a flash back their for a sec.
Your the best GutnTog!
❤️❤️it! Thank you so much for sharing this with the world! Texas USA here❤️❤️
It is a little different from Etna I must say
Thank you so much for recording all the excitement in Iceland. I've really enjoyed your videos. You are pretty much the only channel I watch with regard to Iceland and have started looking at your other travel adventures.
I’ve enjoyed watching this immensely over this past month. As long as it continues being safe for the Icelanders, I hope it continues to entertain us!
Once again Amazing Footage . thank u for sharing
I am in so much awwwww, this is truly one amazingly beautiful sight. The thrill to be standing right beside her dangerous beauty is over whelming. Thank you so much for sharing our mother earths dangerous beauty.
Brasil🇧🇷. Natural phenomenon filmed and documented for future generations to be able to study and be surprised by the show of power, grandeur and beauty of Nature. Thank you
This is the last generation, except for the meek. Day of wrath of God is 7th September 2032. Good time to repent, before famine arrives.
@@2Malachi Date setting is for false prophets ! BUT, you are very probably correct about the last generation. These people with their 'mother nature' b/s is laughable. This is ALMIGHTY Father Creator at work.

Thank you so much for sharing this event with us, you have no idea how much we appreciate your commitment to this once-in-a-lifetime event, really I am lost for words. Thank You, many blessings
I love to see all the people who are drawn to this. I love that the government of Iceland apparently is allowing people to decide for themselves the risks they are willing to take to be a part of this amazing event. There is so much to love here.
Thank you for reposting this.
Still amazing again.
At first this scared me with all the people around filming this volcano, but then I realized that all of them are experts (even the children) so they are 100% safe
Thank you for your coverage of this fantastic spectacle - all credit to you - stay safe
I'm looking back in time, just amazing to see people walking on bare ground here that is far from bare now.
You’re unique GutnTog, your films are unique, thank you so much
A little too close for me, thanks for sharing ! As mesmerizing as a calving glacier...this planet is such a miracle.
love your videos.....been watching since the start.....stay safe
If I had a rock band, our next record would be named "Lava Marmalade".
smh nooooo
Sounds like Icelandic heavy metal.
@@juhanipitkakari5999 it’s a pun on the disco hit of the 1970’s ‘Lady Marmalade’
Fantastic footage 😃. Tyvm
Incredible footage of nature's perfection
I watch this now like a time traveler and think you ain’t seen nothing yet ! 😀 Fascinating and well filmed .
Terrific video! Thank you for sharing. (DCH, 4.25.2021, Oklahoma City)
I would nominate you for , UA-cam videographer of the year, you most certainly deserve it!!!
Thanks
Wow! What a show of nature’s power.
Majestic to say the least!
Fantastic footage!!! Thank you for sharing this unique perspective on a unique event.
Liquid rock. Incredible.
Lava Marmalade... I love it.. I wish I had a jar.
@M Simpson Melt those pounds away.
You're not allowed to take any home. If everybody did that, there would be no volcanoes.
Thank you for sharing your amazing videos - living in the *land downunder* the likelihood of seeing something like this in Oz is about 0.000000001%. You live in a truly spectacularly beautiful country and to be able to see this, the majesty of it all...the snow in the background...the midnight sun....just mesmerizingly beautiful.
It’s amazing to watch, I hope it stays this benign.
Amazing is an understatement! Great footage and thank you for sharing! Stay safe!
So many fissures erupting with such force. I am in awe but also terrified of the number of active volcanoes around the world. Earth is definitely going through some massive underground changes. Amazing footage especially when you zoom in. Well done!!
How many openings are there?
Absolument hypnotisant. Une des plus belles choses que j'ai pu voir de toute ma vie. C'est comme ci on assistait au premières minutes de la création.
You captured this stunning display beautifully. Thank you !
THANK you for sharing this video 🙂
Humans: this is Iceland.
Earth: YOU'RE WRONG, THIS IS FIRELAND! WATCH THIS! WATCH!!
So much has happened to push this from our minds. But the spectacle of the four vents was exciting, awe inducing and reminds us of how small we are in the face of geology.
Best video yet. Thanks !
A big thank you to Lady Marmalade for her spectacular entertainment. This footage is so addictive and I'm very grateful to be able to view this all the way from southern Australia.🇦🇺
Thanks so much for sharing this! Wish I could be there to see it for my self. I could watch this all day and never be bored. Mesmerizing to say the least!... A big hello from Lockport, NY, USA!
The beauty of nature is on display. It does blow my mind though at how close people are though.
Beautiful Nature at it's Finest.
Beautiful, thank you!
It's like watching old home movies of baby when she was just learning to walk! Fast forward to August 29, 2021!
It just boggles the mind how people just stand so close like there watching a football game and no one gets hit with any lava! Greetings from NYC!! 😨🤔🤗🌷
Not to mention the sulfer fumes.
The variations of the rock is basically an indicator of where people can safely be. The black rock is areas where lava flows have occurred over the years. The chimney of the vents is the indication of the range to which lava bursts outwards. So aside for whatever gases may come from the vents, it is actually quite easy to know where it is safe to be. The worst thing that could really happen is if the built up magma somehow pressures out in a lower area of chimney which would be a temporary area where the pressure pushes it outwards a decent distance from the chimney. But that almost never happens considering the material that hardens from the lava itself. Very difficult to get it back up to a melting point.
They're not as close as it looks
Your videos blow my mind more and more every day! Talk about being LIT UP! 🏆
Amazing footage! What an experience!
It’s mesmerising. If I was there I would bring my camping chair and just sit there and watch it. So relaxing
I simply CANNOT STOP watching this. I am in America
Spectacular!!!.. be careful guys... 👍
your consistant and faithful camera work has given the world a front row seat to the most amasing and remarkable show on earth!! The volume of material is astounding, to see those huge valleys filled in, wow, my freind, good wishes to you amd your charming wife!!
Thank you thank you thank you. Wonderful. Mesmerizing!
Revisited tonight. Seems like such a long time ago. So much changes.
Great footage today and over the past few weeks, thank you for sharing them all, truly amazing to witness these scenes, next best thing for us to being there with you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
GutnTog...I'm captived by this video. Speechless almost. The epitome of that overused word, AWESOME! Thanks so much for helping to "ground me" during this pandemic. Had my vaccines, but still being cautious. Mother Nature is definitely in control...Spring finally arrived in SW Michigan, and it feels good to see sunshine.
Yet it's juxtaposed against the fiery "Lava Marmalade " machine of Mother Earth. Gotta love her.
Have to say I'm grateful for the legal herb I can consume in gummy bear form at the end of the day for my insomnia, and fibromyalgia at the end of the day. Mother Earth gave that to me as well! May you and yours stay safe over there. Slainte!☘
The greatest show on earth.....
Terrific video!
I don't understand these people who are talking and laughing. Why aren't they gaping in silent awe at this amazing and mesmerizing phenomenal earthly show?
Oh yes, very spectacular!!!. Your right. It is something you can't see in theaters. Amazing

Awesome views.
Mesmerising footage. Thanks
Thank you roman, hope to visit someday!
Outstanding grandios
Well, if the lava were marmelade, people would not dare to get so close because of all the wasps.
In fact, the volcanoes there are forming Basalt, Shale, Quartz, Feldspar, Granite, and who knows, precious gems.
Shale is sedimentary. No volcanoes involved.
I think basalt is more likely. Basalt is an oceanic story and considering Iceland is directly over the Mid Atlantic Ridge this seems more likely.
Really only basalt out of that list. Shale is sedimentary, Quartz and Feldspar are crystalline and lava is by in large a glass meaning it is just a mix of elements rather than a mixture of actual minerals. Granite is indeed an igneous rock but it is an intrusive igneous rock rather than an extrusive igneous rock meaning that it forms when magma cools and solidifies before it erupts. Also, Granite is felsic where as this volcano is producing mafic lava and would form Gabbro or Diorite if left to cool over a long enough time. Gems also take a long time to form and are typically not produced from these types of eruptions.
If I was there, it would be difficult to resist walking up to it and poking it with a stick.
It would be the last thing you did
@Eileen Delaney
Same!!
Or throw a rock in the lava flow. A soda can? Yeah, temptation is there.
I can imagine that sticky in the skin like glue 500 degrees,,,lol
Future Darwin award winner?
What a pity the cameraman did not manage to film the actual collapse of the side of the volcano! That would have been spectacular.
Surely someone got footage with all those people around!
Perhaps, someone else got the pic and may share it?

That’s what I thought 🤷♀️
The carbon emissions are off the scale and our cars are the thing that will end the world lol it's all perspective and propaganda.
I can watch this in a loop form and still be entertained.
The volcanolets were so CUTE! They blow up so fast.
Truly awesome - I would love to be there. This video, taken about 2 months ago, shows I think five distinct vents. How many are there now? Is it just the one big one we see in the newest videos?
Thank you, we enjoy each and every video you submit;Great job!!
Did you put this on loop ive heard you say these words a few times.
No loop. Here I cut the moment when it starts cracking. I ve uploaded this video separately earlier but viewers didnt notice this moment.
I first thought too, because he mentioned two times "it's not theater"... but it's one clip, not looped...
Without your video, I wouldn't have to opportunity to see such a magnificent sight. Thank you for sharing.
Wow, even the ads were fun to watch
There was 5 volcano's??? WoW! Unbelievable footage.
Great camera work! Luv the up close scenes of the lava pouring out!

Wow!!! Magnificent footage. 5 stars for sure. Thank you from Pennsylvania, USA
Nature is beautiful.
Magnificent.
Absolutely incredible. It's just so amazing that with all that lava spilling out that there can be any magma remaining in the earth, lol
