My first project, based on my love of Final Fantasy 7 and inspired by the great work done for 'Zeldawave' and 'Chronowave'. These songs should take you all the way from the opening screen to the first time on the world map. Hope you enjoy.
All samples are from the Final Fantasy 7 OST (Nobuo Uematsu) outside of the drums and synths.
As I was younger I never understood adults saying "I wish I were a child or younger again" fuck man. I know NOW what it meant and how it feels ... just playing FF7 at late summer night and fall asleep with no worries, childhood was awesome.
A late summer night and fall asleep with no worries. Nailed it.
If only I could've played any Final Fantasy without worries I was trying to escape on my mind.
This dude nailed it out in the park. I think he missed something big though. Was that while this was going on, we were dreaming of our own adventures.Perhaps looking forward to what was beyond our own midgar.
grow a pair and live today
@@TykeMison_ Never.
this mix are sick
@Aldo Mosty lol wtf?
I think they are bots promoting a site
Lmao Aerith truly had words of wisdom.

Rewind to me in 1998, at my piano, playing Tifa's Theme. "F major is such an under-rated key." So much of Uematsu's work is stellar compared to all other video game music...

I do really miss being a kid. Although my child hood was not great. With my mom it was, when I was with her. I would play these games all night, Final Fantasy (789), Zelda OOT, Mario 64, Snowboard Kids 2, Tombraider (1,2,3). I always wanted to be older then. Now I want to go back in time so that I could spend more time enjoying youth and making better decisions as a young adult. This music brings out the best memories for me, and shuts out the bad ones. Love your mom if you have or had a great one guys! Love both of your parents if they are both great and loving while you still have them.
Oh, man. The prelude with the opening screen made me shiver and like made me hurt out of nostalgia. Some of my more peaceful memories as a kid were around playing this game, and it was one of the first things my brother and I kind of shared a bond or at least an understanding over. I can remember drawing characters out of the handbook for hours, even whole weekends, and I've listened to the soundtrack regularly ever since I got my first portable mp3 player. I can sing/hum the whole thing from memory, and I once remade five or six songs as a creative project. This game is like a bright spot in my life for inspiring creativity. Every facet of it, I've expanded upon in art and music and writing and I learned my first great lessons in video game culture and gaming media from it. This mix is fantastic and the sort of muted, ethereal sound some of the tracks have (especially Anxious) do the memories so much justice, and make it sound dreamy.
This comment warmed my heart, seriously
bro hug
I agree this is painful to listen to. FF7 already had a pensive tone, this intensifies the effect.
Taiylor Wallace this was a great comment. As a kid my older cousin had this game & I wanted to play it so bad but he just kept telling me you have to read a lot & your not going to like it. So I never played FF7 😔
@@basicsyphilis8 have you played it? if not play it now, preferably on a ps1. if not you can play on on steam but don't add any of the new features!
They say certain sounds and smells can bring on the most intense memories.
I played FF7 to death, literally as the disc 1 stopped working entirely and 2 needed a young priest and an old priest present at all times. 3rd disc worked fine. Lol
I just recently found lofi remixes and yours here has absolutely nailed it. I enjoy metal covers too. Aeriths theme on electric guitar is insane.
Let's see. 1997. I was 12, with this music I can vividly remember me and my best friend Matt playing this ALL NIGHT at his house because my console was being dumb. No memory card on his so we had to leave it on when we were done.
The music. The scenes. While by today's standards are garbage, today's gamers don't quite get what a breakthrough in gaming FF7 was. The animation cut scenes, the story, the depth of the materia system, chocobo breeding (I was on my third playthrough before I really got in to trying it and realized there's whole places and equipment I was missing entirely without the right chocobo).
Man.
Now I'm 36, and I can STILL remember every location when I hear the OST.
Love it man. Love. It.
One of the best FF lofis on the net.
Pizza was truly something.
This is awesooome. I especially love the FF7 gameplay in the background, it really helps set the mood.
Used to just leave the game on spinning and fall asleep to the world map music...this is a great remix. Gets my vote for the ff7 remake.
In 15 years when the remake comes out, ill think of this.
Lzls this did not age well
@@OSRSBrachydios aw man i actually loved it. Ignorning the story changes (dont wanna say im 100% against them til it plays out) it really brought the characters to life in a new way. Plus it cant change how i feel about the original either way
@@lzls4379 Well said. I'm excited for more of it.
I'm very suprised this doesn't have millions of views. It deserves it. You should do the same with Final Fantasy 8, 9, and 10.
Thanks man. I think the next plan is FF6, going to get started in a week or two. Really want to work on getting some new sounds in there.
I'm glad to hear you're working on more! I love everything about how you did this video. The music is wonderful, the aesthetic is wonderful, and the gameplay in the background made me feel like I was replaying and rexperiencing Midgar all over again.
When you got to the last song, Holding my Thoughts in, I almost lost it. That was always my favorite song in FF7 and is still my fave or at least one of my faves. I always found it so mysterious. Such a beautiful song, but the first time I heard it was when I discovered the locked gate for the first time. As a kid, I just stood there wondering when I was going to be able to get through that gate and discover why such a wonderful song played there lol.
Long story short, keep up the good work lol.
Lzls
Oh my God! I'm so glad you're doing 6 next, although I still hope you do the rest. haha Subscribed obviously.
Duuude FF8 has such great potential for lowfi/wave music with tracks like Balamb Garden, Blue Fields, definitely Breezy, oh Man With The Machine Gun is already so good..
I couldn't agree more man. This is so good!
The last song is so dope.
Awesome work !!! It's funny I just started replaying final fantasy 7 just a couple days ago and this pops up with the thumbnail of Cloud and co. leaving Midgar .

I'm here scouring UA-cam for inspiration on what game I might tackle for another tape and found this. Diggin it man. Loved the more relaxing tracks Anxious, Flowers, and Shinra. Again man, nice work.
Thanks man, your Chronowave tape was a big inspiration.
Great mix, man! Looking forward to part III
I'd love to hear this with FF IV
Awesome and totally epic too
Been listening to this and your other mixes, and I am OBSESSED.
Thanks! 2 of the 3 are free on bandcamp if you want em. I'm working on getting this one up there as well.
I can't understate how GOOD this album is. You killed it on your first project.
The mako one is nuts - freaking great
Vaporwave definitely goes well with ff7 midgar!
Good job keeping the bells in Mako.

They're all great.
Our love of FF franchise
I love the visuals you put with your wonderful music. It really brings it home, like I have to go check all the cords on the TV to clear up the picture, or make sure the VCR is on the right channel.Perfect.
YOOO Lzls, me again. Your *project* hit me like a train with nostalgia, joy and sadness. I thank you very very much for this masterpiece. I wish you a good year and that whatever you plan or dream of, will work and come true !
Thanks man :) Glad you connected with it. That's really what I'm trying to go for - so many of my strongest memories are tied up in these games and it's great to share that with other people.
This is an amazing Remix.
2:54 whenever I listen to this original music in game, I always thought it would sound badass with a beat behind it. Now look what you gone and done. Love this mix dude hell yes

This is sick
I recently replayed the game on the switch port and you just relize how in depth the world is and how the soundtrack rocks
I remember waiting for school to be done for the day so, I can come home and continue my adventures in FF7. Im super hyped for the remake.
Woah! Nice stuff. Hard to find this type of music inspired by these games.
This is so good
love the music, kilroy was here
very good quality!
Well done!
I love this!
This is crazy good dude, the beginning was perf
Thanks man, really appreciate it!
Ooof bruh....got me reminiscing with feels and a new found ambient music for life! Props up for realz
Hope it brought back some good times man
Brilliant stuff :)
Damn this is beautiful
Gotta love the Hardy Daytona music!
this is amazing... thank u
Have re-listened multiple times - it's probably my favorite mix of yours. It practically radiates languor and nostalgia, the days of experiencing the world for the first time, without the tinge of reminiscing. You made them feel appropriately "analog"; which is common for lo-fi, but suits the gritty Midgar songs particularly well.
Thanks man, really appreciate it. It's hard to listen to my own stuff after a while and really "hear" it anymore but I'm glad it drags those feelings up. Always nice when music can take you back like that.
@@lzls4379 You're welcome! The other albums are great too, but this one really feels special.
As I kid, I never owned a memory card during my first month of playing FF7. So I quite possibly burned Midgar into my brain for all eternity after at least a dozen visits. XD The remake's got me pretty hype this week too.
I'm geeking.
Just found you. My love for you and your effort is overwhelming.
Pretty sweet mix bro. I’m surprised it doesn’t have more likes
I subscribed in hopes that you will make more!
Appreciate it. I've got 6 songs finished with 2-3 more planned. Should have another mix out early next month.
Holding, Shinra, Pizza, and Barret's Theme was great!
Never played this game but i'm enjoying this while doing some work
PLAY IT NOW WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?!
Amazing
Perfection
Sending AWEsome viiiibes. ❤️😮😜✌️🤘🖖

Goddamnit "Pizza" blew me away
Flowers - damn good
Still come back for this ❤
12:10 groovy!
Thank you for making these, I found out about your Music through an article that was featured on Bandcamp about the top fan albums for “Final Fantasy VII” on there in celebration of the amazing Remake releasing, being both a longtime FF7 fan and a lover of all kinds of music including “Vapor Wave” I HAD to give it a listen. I’m glad I read that article, I loved it instantly and bought BOTH of your albums on Bandcamp, and have been listening to them all day & night. These were so incredibly well done little albums, you honored the game and it’s music beautifully in your own way, I’ll be checking out your other albums as well. If you do make more “FF7” albums aside from the two I’ll definitely also be buying them as well. Thank you again, stay safe out there, and keep up the wonderful work.

Thanks a lot. Seriously appreciate the kind words. I'm using my quarantine time to play the remake and work on a few new FF7 songs so hopefully I'll have another mix out in a month or so!
Lzls You are absolutely welcome, always love meeting another “Final Fantasy VII” fan out there, your music has actually helped me personally deal with all the madness and uncertainty out there. Songs like “Anxiety” specifically bring me peace, often at times listening to it over and over on repeat, which has been true for me even with the original song “Anxious Heart” along with its many remixes in other games as well. The music in this game always spoke to my soul, always connected with me in such a profound way, along with the game itself. The new “Remake” is beyond all words incredible, it’s so amazing often at times playing it, I’m in disbelief that it even exists. It’s like playing a dream, they’ve went above and beyond with it, glad to hear you are enjoying it all as well. Thank you again, for your music and kind reply as well, stay safe out there. We will get through this madness, one day at a time, with “Final Fantasy 7” by our side the entire time. Our heroes have returned to us when we needed them most and will help us get through this darkness. Lastly, I’m glad to hear that more FF7 music from you is coming, take your time man. I’ll be waiting. Take care.🙏🏻
The rolling lines from the CRT!

Wow lol pizza was bit intense for me lol
B A R R ET is a vibe
Amazing! Nice work dude. You should upload every song to UA-cam, so people can add them to lists and that stuff. Anyway, gz for your work.
Thanks man. Once I get my FF6 project out next month I think I'll get everything individually uploaded for that. Some of the songs on this are a bit rough so I'd like to touch em up too before I upload them again.
@@lzls4379 Nice, man. I keep listening to it and really love it. It's hard to find Final fantasy + lofi so your videos are pretty nice. I really think that you will get more diffusion in the future, so keep up the good work. I'm expecting a lot from that FF6 project ^^ Btw, which software do you use for this? The results are amazing.
Flowers hit me like a ton of bricks
Oh my god more please
Hello sir I have a request, could you make another lofi mix for sleep using FF7 Remake as video? Like just chillin' or exploring Midgar? Thank you very much 🤗🤗
feeling this!
Thanks! Really dig your latest mix, literally listening at work right now.
@@lzls4379 your final fantasy 6 stuff is really dope!
@@nintendonchill Much appreciated. Hit me up if you're ever putting a Final Fantasy mix together!
