The next pedal's manual will be a 20in x 30in sheet of metal with the text laser engraved in it. Ships separately from the pedal on a wooden palette. Because we love to mess with Henning's head.
I realize I'm awfully late to the party when it comes to the Slo- but you guys should've won an award for this thing- this is amazing. I have been saying for the longest time now that if someone created a pedal that would do like a synth pad you could play over, it would be a massive hit, and I would buy one- and here it is. That said- I expected for that to be all the pedal did- really, that's just a bonus function on this thing, not even its primary role- amazing. And to top it off, somehow you managed to keep the guitar signal very transparent and present even though it's drenched in beautiful reverb. Bravo man- definitely going to check out the rest of your line up- Walrus Audio rocks.
I am about to purchase this pedal. Edit: purchase complete. I need huge reverb in my life. Wouldn't it be cool if reverb made life better like it makes guitar sounds better. Like on a really shitty Monday as your entire professional life slowly falls apart you can just turn on some beautiful reverb and all of a sudden a g chord sounds amazing again and your cheating lying girlfriend doesn't matter anymore. "Reverb. It can save lives."
Lmao, I sure did didn't I?? If I was a video savvy fella I would do a spoof PSA on how reverb can cure depression or how like I mentioned above "Reverb can save lives". But, alas, I am not a savvy fella. I'm an ass.
Being a bit of an old spring loaded tank guy, I was much more intrigued by this pedal than I expected I might be. Looks like fun, and I dig the lunatic graphics too. Animals at the end! Meow.
That big tooth sea dog really knows how to ring out through the big ocean caves of oblivion and vast valleys of the octaves or Vallis Schröteri Maybe have them talk to LEGO about how to make a manual 🤘🏽
Amazing pedal, and great playing by you, Henning. Some of the stuff you played actually got me kind of emotional. Definitely one of the best reverb pedals I've ever heard.
Still literally waiting for someone to produce a super killer sustain pedal that has similar effects as the old Fernandes 401 sustainer kits. Theres a gold mine in the waiting for an effects producer if its possible. Thanks Henning, you add some great humor to your very informative videos. Would like to see you paying some with backing tracks more with your reviews.
II bought it after the Fathom that I like very much (although I think that the M-Wave Mini Universe and its clones Ghost Fire Space Reverb, Erok etc. is the best ever, totally unbeatable), but I like Reverb... ! First I was very disappointed by the Slö, till I discovered that the mix central setting is not 12 but 2 o'clock ! Then I started to like it, like the Fathom it works best in some situations and with other gear. But I think the Mini-Universe will remain my reference for a very long time as I can't imagine a better reverb with a so extraordinary shimmer sound.
I dig an old spring for the drips, but the thing is most every 'studio-grade 24/96 blah blah' verb crammed through a guitar amp&speaker cab turns into indistinct mush in a hurry. So roll off the lows and 'bleary' yer way through some shoegaze ...and stay there ! haha.
Very cool pedal Henning...who says old guys like me can't LOVE that ambient stuff?!?! Didn't we invent it? Yeah, I love my crunchy JCM800 tones just as much as the next rocker...but I could get lost all day in the ambient drowny wavey verb this puppy is pumping out ! Dos thumbs up from me...as they say in Hungary (actually they don't have thumbs...just big fingers) LOL Awesome demo as always!
Slö is Swedish for lazy/sleepy/lethargic. Quite fitting for an ambient reverb pedal. The letter ö is pronounced similar to the "i" in "bird" or "u" in "nurse".
I thought I'd never say this but I think I'm finally sick of shimmer. Its not Walrus' fault but the whole woozy out of tune tails thing has finally surpassed my ability to tolerate it.
Blame the Eventides from late 80s (...oh gee :) there's a H3000 d/se two feet to my left as I type this...) My theory is it's for blokes that won't hang with a floating bridge; so when they wanna 'get all Angelo Badalmenti' for a bit - they reach for *The Wooze*. The rest of us can do fine (and in turn sound that much more human) without The Wooze :)

We all know Henning only bitches about the manual because he hopes to get another framed one from you guys...
Haha this is the best thing I have read all day

The rug really ties the room together.

i think you just answered your own question by proving it's own point lol

One of the best UA-cam comments I have ever read. Outstanding.
My favorite vid on the SLO. Should be coming in the mail today. You did a great job describing it, Thank you 👍
Henning, another fantastic video. Sick pedal. Inspiring.
I run this at the start of my signal chain and then have a dark star in the effects loop. Talk about some weird sounds man. I love it.

I read comments strictly for Poo Ninja.
Bought one yesterday at our local family owned music store. Haven’t used it yet waiting for my new tube amp to arrive.
Great demo. My SLO is coming tomorrow.. :)
Nothin worse than interrupting an ambient demo with loud ass commercials..
use adblock.
7:57 That's the important question...

Sir, you have the most amazing shirt I've ever seen.
..and here I thought that the Source Audio Ventris was the answer to all my reverb needs. It seems like I was wrong.

3 years late, but what an incredible track.
Well done per usual.

Weird - you would think there would be at least one Walrus Pedal on The Pedal Zone. Interesting.
very good video as always
thanks for sharing
I just discoved your channel! Love it! great instruction. Much thanks
That depth has some nice Wahs...

legendary track m8
That sound sooo good, hey why dont you make a video with the slö, mako and warhorn to see what the reverb delay and overdrive will sound like?
15:18 i nearly fainted
Didn't even get past the 3min mark, sold.

5:53 like a balloon losing air
I want to buy a new reverb pedal Walrus Audio Fathom vs Walrus Audio Slo vs Hall of fame 2 what should get
Have the same dilemma
Slo
I hate that I think I want the neunaber immerse but the graphic of this would look so much better on a board
so it is "slo" as in "bru" or as in "slough" or as in "Oslo"?
anyway I hope I have as much fun with it as you clearly are having!
Slö is Swedish for lazy/sleepy/lethargic. Quite fitting for an ambient reverb pedal. The letter ö is pronounced similar to the "i" in "bird" or "u" in "nurse".
Is that the next HP42 series guitar you are playing?
Neue Raumresonanz, Reflexion oder irgendwo eine Rückkopplung???
How does it compare to the Neunaber Immerse II?
Easy, the Neunaber sounds way better. This one here has no soul
wow! which harley benton is that!
Love this but it's not hand handling friendly.
Whats the difference between this and the fathom?
the fathom is more traditional
Wish you would have okayed the rest of the Kall of Ktulu.
nice demo. yet again - you guys need to tune your guitars!!
All the Swedes are gonna chuckle at the name.
Johan Niklasson its actually swedish! The boss thingy at walrus said so himself in an interview🙂
can it splash or drip? Fuck ambience
sorry but metallica's riff is being played, you ll be sued or vlog will be shut down, lol... copyright issues kill music related channels...
Well done as always but sorry, this reverb does not sound lush at all

@@shaft9000 yeah, two H9s about 3 feet away here, but I'm TRYING to stay away from that algorithm
