Destroying Arizona Channel Catfish on Punch Bait

- I destroyed these fish on this Stryker punch bait! I was not a believer in punch bait until this day. Arizona catfish must be a different breed!
I am usually a fresh catfish bait type of guy, but people were swearing on this stryker punch bait. I had to put it to the test and man did it perform! It even outfished my garlic liver!
I know channel catfish typically prefer a smelly bait, but I have just never had any luck on punch bait for catfish until this fishing trip.
Stryker bait was on non stop! Alpha blood scent was doing the best this day, but I did catch a few on anchovy scent as well.
Arizona catfishing in the urban ponds always seems to produce something. These fish are juiced up and feeding heavily!
The Arizona urban ponds have been getting stocked heavily, so find the closest pond to you and give it a shot!

i fish for wels catfish england but used to live northern spain rio ebro,full of wels and channels cats garlic liver bait paste stuff is dynamite bait what i found was this,mix some flour maize or wheat flour to the mix stiffen it then use a bait spring or a hair rig way better than a buried bait :-) iv had wels to about 150 lbs spain 20 years ago tht was a good fish these days the fish are enormous reaching near 300lbs or + ...like these videos would love to fly over fish for some American species like the looks of Bowfin fish i think they call em and the florida bass types.gars etc

Hey man what rod and reel would you recommend for smaller lakes and ponds. I mostly fish for about 1-3 lb channel catfish.
medium should be fine. 10-14lb test

Great video Mark! I love using stink/punch baits. I like using Sonny Triple SSS dip bait. I have to try strykers bait though. You’re fishing in Catfishing Arizonas territory.

Never heard of punch bait before. It looks really effective. Did the garlic liver get any love?
It’s basically like melted down fish and other scents mixed with cat tails to keep the bait on the hook. No the liver didn’t catch me anything this day!

Love me some bait string 🧵 for soft baits . Hate those kinda baits , have a ton of different types sitting in my cat cabinet. Fishy on / got em . Channel cats love that kinda bait forsure . Bam another hooked and landed -Boat Flip 🙃. Hookset and another on - Landed 🙂👍🏻 . All Kitty's matter 💕 . Old man fishing 🎣 from a chair 🪑 lol 🤣👍🏻 hooksets . Punch baits works great in the small channels off the main river . Not the best in the open river . . Bam hooked again / nice 👍🏻 . Water looks so clean there . Next is hooked 🪝 and a pretty nice pull to it , drag is going . Got em landed ☺️👌🏻Best landed of the day and Arizona so far . Love the changes of camera views 😃👍🏻 happy you do nice edits . Do you think you will ever be able to find the tanks like out east?? I know you can find record shell crackers or sunfish out southwest there. Especially Lake Havasu!! Lake Havasu also has a delightful blueberry beer 🍺 you have to try! Do you have an Instagram? I'll send you the info on there. They also have strange stuff in that region. Its a 4 corner state and bigfoot is there as well. Lol
Yes maybe some bigger flathead, but they are so overfished here they are tough to find. My ig is the same as my UA-cam 👍🏼🎣

Honestly I have been all over. Try all the spots your see. Some will be bad but some you will find gems. Tempe and chandler areas are always good

when fishing the floor bottom use pop up baits so attach a round bait but wrap smuther bait around a polystyrene ball or floating plastic ball brings bait just off the bottom adjust according to fish location ie avoid weeds etc slime

there shipping takes a while. the best way to get in contact with them is the facebook group. they can give you an update on your order. they dont send out confirmations for orders. i learned that when i first bought my bait

Try chicken breast and jello! Cut chicken to 1" cubes and soak in jello mix over night.
