So I'm 25 few weeks before I turned 25 God placed it in my heart to pray for my marriage, I was actively searching two months later God told me to stop searching for 6 months and focus on my relationship with him and yoh I'm filled with so much joy and peace and content 1 month later he tells me to start posting Christian content on my channel so trust me I understand when you say we have to be kingdom like in order to sustain the kingdom marriage 🤗

I really enjoyed your video. I'm currently in my waiting season and I don't feel the rush to be in a relationship yet mainly because I'm building myself in Christ but also because a part of me is scared that it's hard to find a Godly man. Your video really and your relationship in general always encourages me that the wait will eventually be worth it and fruitful. Also I'm really glad to see you walk in a celibacy journey while still in a relationship. It gives me so much hope especially with the way our generation is at the moment.

1. Prayer--Align yourself with God's will for your life. What are the qualities you desire in a mate? God is actually interested in our relationships.
2. Prepare to be stretched (emotionally, and mentally) 4:41
The purpose of marriage is to become more like Christ. Being selfless, and patient.
3. Become the person that is suited for the type of relationship you want. 8:06
Know what you need to work on. That may mean you need to go to counseling/therapy.
4. Mentorship: Watch godly relationships. 12:05 (videos, live people/friends.) Knew what type of person you want through watching others. Be in a bible believing church where you can have mentors there (as well as elsewhere if needed)
5. Working with God to become content. 18:25
6. Nurture your friendship 20:12
7. You should understand the purpose of your relationship with your partner vs your relationship with God. Purpose: To look more like Christ. 21:36

I am 17 years old and I've been in a single season knowing that I want a relationship that is God honouring... But being around people who are in relationships sometimes makes me desire what they have, I constantly have to remind myself of what the goal is and the type of person I want to be with. Everything you said girl🤗I can relate to 💯 from praying about it, to having the good list of God given traits you’ll need, to learning from Godly couples you’ll like to emulate on youtube to attending a bible believing church, to the way a Godly relationship stretches you as a person, and the character traits that the Holy spirit will reveal to you about yourself. I agree with you on the stretched aspect of being in a Godly relationship, and I'll add that for those of us who are single, be active in service (church) because people will test you in doing so. Thank you for this video Uzoma❤️.I am not so hospitable as well and I am working on that and many other things but one thing you said that really resonates with me is become the person that is suited for the type of relationship you want.This is so important as there is a lot of things we have to work on as individuals. A Godly relationship will stretch you especially if you want to fulfil God’s purpose for that relationship. Be ready to unlearn and relearn.

One thing I am learning as a single is that you need to build your own faith system to be successfully married to a man of faith or you'd be lagging behind.
I’ve realised by watching videos like this that God always gives us a relationship when we are happy being single because if like you said getting married or being in a relationship is a do or die matter it will make you dependent on it and not dependent on God and you will find yourself idolizing a relationship God is good he knows best!!

Should Christians pray in tongues out loud in church or in their secret place? Is praying in tongues and spesking in tongues one and the same thing or are they different? Hi Uzoma... I just found your channel this year and I must say you and your channel have been a big blessing.
I have a question: I tend to make being on a relationship an idol. Even when I'm not in one, I can spend hours of my day fantasizing about it,who it'll be,my wedding,my marraige. So I decided to stop praying for my future relationship/husband( or i just do in passing nonchalantly), not listening to love songs, watching romantic videos as well as trying to learn more about myself and what my purpose is. But then everytime I hear "pray for your spouse" and I feel like I should but then I don't want to get to a place where I start obsessing over it again😩. What's the question again🙈...oh,any advice?
Hey! thank you for your question, and thank you for watching. So this is a valid concern, I would say definitely sitting with God and trying to find the root of the issue. Trying to figure out what it is in you that causes the desire to go overboard. So is it a loneliness issue, abandonment or like a different need showing up as obsessing over a relationship? Also is it is it obsessing over this or is it a need for seciurity, or love or safety that God can give? I think that a great starting point is realising that relationships arent bad, they are a gift from God but sometimes an unfulfilled need may cause you to try to overcompensate using something else i.e obsessing over a relationship, to fulfill the need.
