ADF | Cowboys NRL Anzac Day Round

Members from the 3rd Brigade conducted ceremonial activities as part of the North Queensland Cowboys annual National Rugby League Anzac Round against the Penrith Panthers, at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
The ceremony included a Catafalque Party, recital of The Ode followed by The Last Post, Rouse, and National Anthem. Soldiers from 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, Pipes and Drums lead the Guard of Honour and flag bearers onto the field, with pre-game entertainment conducted by 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment Band.
North Queensland Cowboys players wore the 2024 Defence Jersey in honour of the 110th anniversary of the 3rd Brigade reformation, in 1914 for service during World War I.
The Anzac spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of all Australians as we acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of those who contributed so much to shaping the identity of our nation.
