I haven’t been buying plants this past year, only ones that really call out to me, and I bought a peperomia quadrangularis today! It’s spilling over the sides of the pot and it was $7. Super happy with it 🙂 peperomia are underrated imho
I would buy more houseplants at the big box stores if they didn’t come in those pots. They are pretty, but not my style. I feel like I’m paying extra for a pot I won’t even use.
I have been buying the plants in Terra cotta pots, or switching out the pots while in store for Terra cotta. Lowe's has nice decorative Terra cotta pots.
80% of my house plants have always been the reduced, ready for the compost heap, and I know you're not meant to buy them in case you bring in pests and diseases to you're other plants but I get such a buzz bringing them back to life and thriving
Went birthday plant shopping at Lowe’s today and scored a Global Green! It has a few leaves with the white “lightning” type variegation. Couldn’t help but squeal a little lol
I'm sorry but I laughed at the name "green princess". I'm going to call my reverted pink princess that from now on, haha. I'm so glad you got a silver dragon - it was SO full! I can't wait to see them in my area. I am obsessed with how cute those spineless cacti are! I need to pick one up for sure.
I got a xanthasoma at our lowes for $10 because it was the last one and was left unlabled, the employee just asked me to find something similar so I got a $20 dieffenbachia and he took 10 off, for some reason!! Quite the steal, very happy with that purchase
I got a banana tree from Lowes for $7! It was on clearance looked like it was beaten and broken. I took it home and its thriving. I even got a Pothos for 70 cents from Lowes.
I bought a planter from Lowe's 50% off for $40. It had 12 plants 8 snake plants, 2 alocasia polly (African face mask) and two rabbit foot ferns. I gifted 4 and kept the rest. Plants were in excellent shape!
I don't know how you got out of there with only 3 plants! LOL That Looking Glass Begonia was stunning, perhaps I will have to buy one when they make their way up here.
This video brought me so much joy as I watch the snow fall outside. Puts a person in the mood for Spring. How are your plants on planks doing? Can you please give us an update. Thank you.
Ty for also panning thru the orchids. Many pass them by but I feel like they should be included. I appreciate ur videos n the time u take to make them ^.^
Fair Warning: I bought an Aglaonema at Lowe's, like the one around 14:00, on clearance because some of the leaves had wilted and it was root bound. It turns out that the two plants were in separate 2 inch pots, all buried in the larger 6 inch pot. I got them separated and planted, but it took some TLC.
What fun I had this morning when I found your channel on a feed. The brass looking plant stands at Walmart can turn into a small plant table by staining and gluing a round 14 in. disk from a big box store. Thank you
The silver fern is just a regular birds nest fern that is in desperate need of water - I know because I bought one that looked exactly like that because I thought the silver color was interesting but as soon as i watered it the light green color came back.
What an AWESOME selection of houseplants!!!! I need an orchid cactus, I need a cuddly cactus, I need the two tone ginger plant! SPRING IS DEFINITELY HERE AND I AM SUPER EXCITED!! Thanks for another GREAT video💚💚💚💚💚💚
UNCC 49er here!!🥰that’s so cool you were on my campus! Our botanical garden is the best part of the whole campus! So glad I’ve found your channel! 🍃🌱🪴💚
Hey Ashley 💚 Vicariously enjoying the plant shopping thru you dear, so I don't go completely broke.. FYI! Those black plant stands you thought were $30 are actually only like $12 each.. I bought 2.. Go back and get them!! Such a steal 😘😘
I enjoyed the shopping The orchid cactus you picked up so nice I have 3 if them. They propagate very easy. They like indirect bright light the best. They stay very juicy and lush. I noticed they get kind of dried out looking if to much light. I expermented. They have a quick bloom night. After they develope a seed pod wich is ablong and turns red. To cute. About as large as the end of your thumb. Enjoyed it thanks Ashley A. Lynda
❤ silver dragon, got a baby, all leaves gone, dug the bulb yesterday near a drain, waiting for leaves to reappear. By the way found a bigger established plant in nearby nursery. ☺️Great catch👍
You seen to have the best luck finding plants I knew when I saw the cactus with no spines that you were going to get it lol I remember when you first saw it that Silver Scale was beautiful and full at a good price thanks for taking us along
Oh Ashley! 💕 Beautiful finds! I also purchased the orchid cactus about a month ago. I’m new to this little lovely cactus💕 I’ve had it for two months and she is thriving and growing!🙌🌵 💕I’ve learned she likes the East facing window and receiving sun from above on the top of her crown. I bottom water her when she’s dry. I add just a bit of water on top. Enjoy your new finds!💕 They’re all so lovely!🌵🪴💕
Thanks for these tours. An extra thanks for the plant shop recommendations. Oakdale was awesome and Plant House was so cool. I would've taped it but wanted to just enjoy it and my birthday. I have to visit from Maryland again.
Your so in control in the store. My cart would have been full. I’m so out of control around plants. Thank you for show and tell. I’m pretty new here but so far, I like what you do. 😁💖
At 07:00 The one you thought was a little banana? I'm pretty sure it's a canna lily. Don't know why it's in that section! 3/4 of the day in sun, if not all day sun when they're mature! They can burn a little bit tho, and they relish water. And rich organic matter that drains well, but stays moist. My mind was blown recently. There's a big group of plants scientifically related… Prayer plants like maranta, calathea (geoppertia), ctenanthe, & stromanthe are, believe it or not, grouped w canna lily, heliconia, bananas, and zingiber/ginger plants. Also strelitzia, the birds-of-paradise. They all have similar growth habit, leaf structure and unusual flowers, if you think about it...& they kinda have a theme with their blooms you know what I mean? And just as Maranta and prayer plants are so picky about water quality, I'm wondering if all of these plants are also picky. Everybody has canna & birds of paradise here in California (& in other places), and they're quite prolific; I've just been noticing brown edges more lately and I'm wondering if it's because of using the hose water. Southern California means very hard water. In most places. I've been doing an experiment and giving them all that her water when I can. Same with Dracaena. Since snake plants (sansiveria) became part of that group, now I hyper-noticed brown tips on all of them, too. Of course they are a little more tolerant than the prayer plant group.…still, tree Dracaena's are known to not like tap water as well. So it would make sense with the snake plants having brown tips...😵💫🤯😱
Hey Ashley! I must say I've been watching you for quite some time and I have starting my own collection in my home. Because you mentioned planters, I thought I would say that if you have a Big Lots in your area that they have an AMAZING selection of planters for an amazing price!
Hi i'm from Philippines, there's some garden here,we call it "backyard garden" you can buy plants less than $1.00 USD,you can buy a monstera deliciosa just for $6-7 USD based in my computation, and you dont need to problem about winter, theres just 2 season here,Rainy, and Sunny which are beautiful season for plant,Love your vids❤
Those rex begonias were beautiful! I would have bought one in each color and put them all in one pot. I like to buy the small white pots from Walmart to plant propagations in and give them as gifts 🙂
I saw the spineless cactus at Walmart but didn't realize that was what it was. I should have got but didn't . That is a good reason to go back. I went to my Lowe's today and they still don't have very much. You made some God choices I got a silver dragon at Walmart and I love it.
Hi Ashely 👋 I tried watching your video yesterday but my phone was acting very stupid some watching it today I love it when you go to Walmart 🥰🤩😍💛🧡🖤👍👍🤟🤟
I'm waiting for my local Lowe's to get the silver dragon! I also got the orchid cactus a few weeks ago! The leaves are so attractive and look like ribbons.
I love the orchid cacti ! I first saw them as I scrolled threw etsy when I saw their blooms. Their so pretty and since then I've been buying cuttings. I got the night blooming cereus ( queen of the night I believe) cutting for $12 then at a plant sale I got a hanging potted plant for $10, I couldn't pass it up. I did see one called the wittia amazonica and fell in love with the colors of the flowers and bought a cutting of that one. I'm addicted to getting them all. With my cuttings I'm making mixed pots of orchid cacti to save room. Can't wait till they start to bloom ! I've been seeing them pop up in the stores too !
omg watching your video is going to be expensive but worth it lol, while you were walking through I was window shopping and making a list. I now have several pics to add to my collection. Thank you for a very fun exciting and informative video. Loved watching you have so much fun finding new treasures. I thought I was the only one who did that in nursery's. Cant wait to see more videos
Such a fun plant shopping video! Many thanks. I loved all the plants you picked up. I would have definitely picked up the Silver Dragon. I live in Charlotte as well but the last time I was in the big box stores a few weeks back, they did not have the Silver Dragons. I will need to be more diligent with checking them out more often. 😊. So glad you found one! It looks healthy and very full. Great job. Happy growing!! 👌🪴🥰
I just found an albo variegated pilea peperomia at the Walmart in Statesville! It was a total whim to go check out that garden center and I’m so glad I did!
That first Lowe's looks like the one I go to. I just got a monstera there for $15!! I'm so excited. Its leaves are a bit beat up, but it has lots of new leaves coming on. Any Monstera Deliciosa care tips are welcome. 😁
Tickled at how excited you are with your new plants! Great selections, our stores are a bit behind here in MN. Still snowing. I got some great ideas tho. Love all your choices. I would have grabbed one of those begonias too, dont have any.
Just caught this video and you inspired me to take a surprise trip to Lowe's, but they're closed for Easter today! Haha, tomorrow will be the day! The Silver Dragons are so full and look so healthy!!!
I feel so jealous, in my country we don't get raven zzs, or they're incredibly expensive 🤷♀️ seeing so many of them in America makes me hope they'll start being available here as well
Orchid cactus, if it is the same as epiphyllums (of which I have a few varieties which blossom very beautiful flowers for only a night or two), like you said...should be watered when dry. The more light they get, the more they are likely to blossom. Mine are outdoors, either in more or less direct sunlight - turns the leaves light to green respectively. Hardy and good luck! My latest find was the dragon fruit - a type of epiphyllum - GORGEOUS flowers!
Much to my husbands delight we do not have but box stores in the UK haha ,I tend to rescue poor looking plants ,I rescued a succulent half dead now it has beautiful variegated pink leaves ..Also We call snake plants 'Mother in law 's tongue ' 😝 . lovely tour thank you x
I can tell you I'm already jealous!!!!! I did find a baltic blue pothos, I shouldn't gripe! However, I don't think I'll ever see zanthazoma or the silver dragon alocasia.
I would like to know where people are finding Hoyas in big box shops…..? I am so jealous! & yep I would have picked the orchid cactus too!!! So cool. I just got a fern I thought it was a rabbit foot because of the fur but I think it a blue star fern, so in love.
That's where most of my pots came from and if you saw how many pots I had that didn't have any plants in it you would be shocked I keep switching out from different size pots for my plants😅😂😄💛🧡🖤😍🤩🥰👍👍🤟
Oh my goodness those Rex begonias 😛 I have a hard time not taking the home! Lol I picked up a small escargo variety from Costa and I happened to see the same kind at a nursery, the leaves where way bigger than my hands 🙀 Also seeing the Dragon Scale Alocasia makes me so excited to see them in my store! I also have the Euphorbia (Enolpa) with the pink spikes, it’s also called a pin cushion Euphorbia 😁
How nice! Here where I'm from we don't get costa farms trending tropical plants, so alot of the plants you get I have never seen... our walmart is the only one that gets the exotic angel collection and only the 3" plants... sucks.... there's a nursery an hour away and they have the norm. I think the most rare but not rare is the hoya princess and queen....but great finds!!!! Maybe later on I'll have you ship me some plants!!!😅
I don’t know if it’s because I am in Canada but Home Depot Walmart and Lowe’s even Canadian tire and they were very limited to almost no tropical plants out yet ugh
If you could see the plants at my Lowe's you would be even more shocked! I'm always amazed at what I see when I watch videos of Lowe's, or visit other stores when I'm out of town because my Lowe's usually have nothing but half dead plants, and a very small selection of them! 😔
Wow your stores are packed. I feel like ours takes forever to get like that. I love the dragon scale but alocasia dont like me. Great video. I love all the global green the Baltic blue but my fav was the green philodenron princess.
There were only 3 alocasia silver dragons at my local store, so I got one! Someone gifted me a black velvet corm, so I have two of my dream plants this month!
The Florida beauty draceana was one of my purchases last year I started getting into houseplants. I was sold on the Florida name. I thought it would be cute to have a corner for my Florida plants.
35 for that large raven ZZ?!?! You're killing me! 😭 A large one is a wishlist plant for me but the small ones are still pretty hard to find in big box shops in my area. Lowe's had a pot that size of regular ZZ the other day but it was smaller, and much more sparse, for $60! Hoping we eventually get the beautiful selection of plants you've shown in your videos! Thanks for making these! 🥰
My Lowe's doesn't have a very good selection of house plants, so I feel kind of lucky finding the last Baltic (which was sort of buried underneath some large Dracaenas and Aglaonema) and a random Manjula. Neither were in that great of a condition, but I wasn't sure when I'd get the opportunity to come back. There were so many Global Greens but they had them stacked on a shelf and they were dusty. Maybe that's why I wasn't attracted to them that much. The colors didn't come through that well. The next time I'm able to go, I might pick one up.
that thing you didn't know what it is- it's a baby banana tree... I bought one too, not knowing what it was until I saw a fleet of baby banana trees at my local nursery
New to the channel, you popped up on my feed. Probably due to me searching Deffenbachia and Rubber tree info. Also new to owning indoor plants, inspired by Kiss the ground (Netflix). Found 4 rubber trees at walmart on clearance $9 each and a Deffenbachia for $10-which had spider mites- although showered and treated, still struggling. Hope to learn much from your channel especially about the carbon drawn down plants like Prayer and Rubber tree.
I have a hard time with Alocasia. I have the Alocasia Dragon Scale which i love and given it another go at it is my top favourite. They are hard to take care of since they like there soil to stay moist. So watering is hard to get it right without overwatering. And sometimes when you get new leaves you can end up losing one so it hard to stay bushy. I found mine in Ikea for €9 so was a very good bargain so could not passed on it and is so usual to see rare plants there.
Aaaa, I can only ever find basic plants (and sometimes not even good ones imo) at my big box stores!! And most times I don't realize, and they come home with pests :/ So I'm trying to stop buying from them, and just shop at local plant shops

Lmfaoo one time I bought a plant that was $10 PLUS the thirty dollar pot 😩😩😩😩😩
I’m surprised you didn’t buy that silver fern. That was so unique!! Love going plant shopping with you!!

Hahaha love it!
Good idea 😂💡
I got a xanthasoma at our lowes for $10 because it was the last one and was left unlabled, the employee just asked me to find something similar so I got a $20 dieffenbachia and he took 10 off, for some reason!! Quite the steal, very happy with that purchase
Absolutely contributing to that sponsor, charlotte ftw!!!!
Wow great find!

It’s always a struggle trying to decide which plant 😂
This video brought me so much joy as I watch the snow fall outside. Puts a person in the mood for Spring. How are your plants on planks doing? Can you please give us an update. Thank you.
Thanks for watching Sue! My plants on my planks are growing a lot, but they aren’t attaching. I should have used raw wood and not painted.
@@LifewithAshleyAnita Can you switch them out to different wood or it is too late?
Ty for also panning thru the orchids. Many pass them by but I feel like they should be included. I appreciate ur videos n the time u take to make them ^.^
Fair Warning: I bought an Aglaonema at Lowe's, like the one around 14:00, on clearance because some of the leaves had wilted and it was root bound. It turns out that the two plants were in separate 2 inch pots, all buried in the larger 6 inch pot. I got them separated and planted, but it took some TLC.

Oh no, I tried to find the name of it in the internet with the strong intention to buy it! And now it just makes no sense 😅
Thanks Martha! Always appreciate your kind words. 💚
I started going to big box stores thanks to your channel!! I’ve found so many amazing plants 🥳

That is a Curly Orchid Cactus...I love them.
Love it!
I think that the first agleonema is a golden bay! I just got a huge one for only 15 because the lower leaves were broken off. I love it!!
Awesome! Thanks!
Hey Ashley 💚 Vicariously enjoying the plant shopping thru you dear, so I don't go completely broke.. FYI! Those black plant stands you thought were $30 are actually only like $12 each.. I bought 2.. Go back and get them!! Such a steal 😘😘
I gotta go back!
I enjoyed the shopping
The orchid cactus you picked up so nice I have 3 if them.
Lynda

I love that idea!
I have both the Dragon Scale and the Silver Dragon. I CANNOT walk past them and not touch them. The feel of the leaves are so cool.

oh wow.....i am going tomorrow to our local Lowes.....I am hoping that ours has a good selection
I'm waiting for my local Lowe's to get the silver dragon! I also got the orchid cactus a few weeks ago! The leaves are so attractive and look like ribbons.
Wonderful!
I'm not a fan of Alocasia at this moment, but the Silver dragon would be the first Alocasia that I would buy if I catch the Alocasia bug haha.
It’s a tempting one!

Why didn’t I think of lowe’s . GENIUS
Yes the orchid cactus!! I found one at lowes last fall and had to get it. If it ever blooms I can die happy 😂
Silver dragon is a stellar find 🖤🌿
Thanks Karly!
Wow great deal!
Use a moss pole it grows wide
Mist the leave and keep the soil moist and some good sun and you’ll have a ton of new growth!
Tickled at how excited you are with your new plants! Great selections, our stores are a bit behind here in MN. Still snowing. I got some great ideas tho. Love all your choices. I would have grabbed one of those begonias too, dont have any.

I just recently picked up a golden goddess with a stalk of Thai Sunrise and a monstera peru at my local Lowes down here in the upstate of SC!
Just liked and subscribed. Great video and some wonderful additions to your plant collection.
You have one heck of a Lowes plant selection. I live near Pensacola Fl and we don’t have any selection like you have. I’m jealous but enjoy!
Good Easter from Norway.🌞🐣🐥💗
Happy Easter! 🐣
I can tell you I'm already jealous!!!!! I did find a baltic blue pothos, I shouldn't gripe! However, I don't think I'll ever see zanthazoma or the silver dragon alocasia.
Great find!
I would like to know where people are finding Hoyas in big box shops…..? I am so jealous! & yep I would have picked the orchid cactus too!!! So cool. I just got a fern I thought it was a rabbit foot because of the fur but I think it a blue star fern, so in love.
Great choices, and love the planter 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you Lorraine! 💚💚
💚 Silver Dragon!!!! So beautiful 💚 Is your orchid cactus a Queen of the Night 🤔
I wonder!!
Love your picks. I’ll be looking for the spineless 🌵 cactus !
Thank you Penny!
That's where most of my pots came from and if you saw how many pots I had that didn't have any plants in it you would be shocked I keep switching out from different size pots for my plants😅😂😄💛🧡🖤😍🤩🥰👍👍🤟
So cool!
That's was fun THank You ASHLEY BUT THAT DRAGON IS BEAUTIFUL I HOPE I FIND ONE IN OHIO.
Pin cushion! I love it! 💕💕
💚💚
I want the cuddly cactus lol I haven’t been able to find one yet
💚💚
Venus fly traps also grow in Horry County in SC
I don’t know if it’s because I am in Canada but Home Depot Walmart and Lowe’s even Canadian tire and they were very limited to almost no tropical plants out yet ugh
Hopefully you’ll get some soon 💚
If you could see the plants at my Lowe's you would be even more shocked! I'm always amazed at what I see when I watch videos of Lowe's, or visit other stores when I'm out of town because my Lowe's usually have nothing but half dead plants, and a very small selection of them! 😔
Hopefully they get some good stuff soon!
Wow your stores are packed. I feel like ours takes forever to get like that. I love the dragon scale but alocasia dont like me. Great video. I love all the global green the Baltic blue but my fav was the green philodenron princess.
It was a stunner!
Used to love big box stores but they all have the same species and variaties.
Another great video and thanks!!!
Thank you Roy!
I am going to be looking for the spineless cactus 🌵
💚💚 they are adorable
There were only 3 alocasia silver dragons at my local store, so I got one! Someone gifted me a black velvet corm, so I have two of my dream plants this month!
😄 the fern is "silver" because it needs water asap lol
Oh gosh…
The Florida beauty draceana was one of my purchases last year I started getting into houseplants. I was sold on the Florida name. I thought it would be cute to have a corner for my Florida plants.
You: showing the plants pots
Me: vibbing on the beliver imagine dragon song 🎵🎶
The leaves on that fern are showing it's thirsty! It's just a thirsty birds nest fern :)
Your plant reminds me of epiphyllum Guatemalanse, it bears tiny fruits that look like dragon fruit. I think they are edible too. ☺️
Very cool!
Thanks Heather!
💚💚💚
Menards has the best indoor plants by me, I live in Michigan. Also Costco had Fiddle Leafs for $52!!
It's that time. Got to get me some more plant's
It’s that time for sure!
What great finds love the flower pot
New to the channel, you popped up on my feed. Probably due to me searching Deffenbachia and Rubber tree info. Also new to owning indoor plants, inspired by Kiss the ground (Netflix). Found 4 rubber trees at walmart on clearance $9 each and a Deffenbachia for $10-which had spider mites- although showered and treated, still struggling. Hope to learn much from your channel especially about the carbon drawn down plants like Prayer and Rubber tree.
Great finds!
I got a Florida Beauty at Lowes discount plant section. I wish it was the $600.00 Florida Beauty, but it was 75% off $2.00 Florida Beauty.
Still beautiful 🤩
I wish this cuddle cactus was sold in my country. It looks so cool !!
Wow that was a great find at ikea!
That silver fern. I would not have been able to leave without it. I don't even know what kind it is 😫
Love the orchid cactus. Almost got one today. Got a hoya instead
Hoya is always a solid choice
I lovee the cuddly cactus
It’s the best!
The orchid cactus does not like direct sun it burns easily.
Aaaa, I can only ever find basic plants (and sometimes not even good ones imo) at my big box stores!! And most times I don't realize, and they come home with pests :/
So I'm trying to stop buying from them, and just shop at local plant shops
Love your choices! 🪴🌵🌿
Thank you!
