Megatran25 0 seconds ago Right, even with the process of elimination. All of the QB with more than 50k yards right now are all recently retired or still playing. That leave Dan sticks out like a sore thump since he retired a long time ago.!
This question honestly is really really easy, in terms of volume stats for QBs, Marino was the first to ever do things really big even for modern standards. He was the first to throw for 5k in a season, the first to throw for 40+ TDs (the same year that he threw for 5k, and he had nearly 50 TDs that year), and he had another 40+ TD season too. Also, after Marino threw for 5k in 1984, it wasn't done again until Drew Brees in 2008. So for 25 years he was the only QB to break 5k, and until Kurt Warner in 1999 (15 years), was the only QB to throw for 40 TDs too. No other QB makes half an iota of sense for this question
@@markula_4040 Sure but if we're talking in terms of common knowledge, Tarkenton is most renowned for his rushing abikity, despite being a great passer for his era. What got him so close was the fact that he played for *way* longer than most remember (I didnt even know he spent 5 years with the Giants, thought he was with Minnesota his entire career). With trivia questions like this it's primarily about common knowledge
Holy geeze. I swear I was sitting here and I thought...well that's gotta be Dan marino....and yup. I vaguely recall it...I was 12 lol. Yup. I remember it.
That's actually not that hard of a question. Marino had most of the records before this generation started passing him (Brady, Brees, Manning). Basically like asking who had the HR record before Mcgwire and Sosa (Roger Maris). People just forget about Marino cuz he never won a SB. Tough legacy. That coulda been Drew Brees if it wasn't for a gutsy onside kick to start the second half.
It’s the celebration for me and Rex is just dominating at this point😂😂
Girly
“It’s the celebration for me” 💅🏳️🌈
The way Rex sets up his answer then dunks on Hembo. 😆
Ngl I truly appreciate how Rex Ryan symbolizes generations of great football minds, and he’s been on it lol
Was a all time elite coach? Nah, but man you can't argue Rex's football knowledge.
@@soulessshadow5356 lol ya the idiot guaranteed a Superbowl win with mark Sanchez. Twice.
Rex and Ryan's chemistry is hilarious
I mean Rex Ryan you put their names together and they an actual person
@@sakthithanigai5036 haha that was the pun

@@EarlDavis427 thank you thank you haha
Let's be honest, we're all just here for the celebration
Rex Ryan is a funny guy, he really know the history of football.
Rex Ryan is the GOAT of football trivia. He will school you all day long if you challenge him
I love that Rex could look at Hembo but stays focused on the camera. a true pro.
This is MY favorite segment!!!
Killing Hembo 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Rex knows his history and is the best .
The difference between Tom and Dan passing yards is an entire HOF career 😳
Which is sad because Marino was a far greater passer
Brady is a cheater
Are people forgetting he was a coach? You don't become a NFL coach without knowing the history of the game.
I honestly think so at this point with how people react to him knowing this stuff
I'm a Jets fan. I'm not forgetting
00:52
"You are such a little man!"
😂😂😂
Rex Ryan's finally found his calling
Honestly, Dan Marino was my first thought too.
not even second guessing lol
Same. Was a softball tbh.

I love it when Rex is happy…. so we can see those choppers 😬🦷🦷😁
I love these 😂
I frigging love these segments. Rex is really knowledgeable, just a sponge for football.
Rex need a belt at this point lol!!!
I really enjoy Rex Ryan lol
Rex Ryan is a national treasure 🤣🤣
The best segment on Television!
I knew that and I dont even watch football...love Rex and the crew.

The "including playoffs" was a good add to try to throw someone off lol
This is my favorite segment lol
REX IS THE BEST!
Thank you.... Needed a good laugh 😂 🤣
this is just further proof that ryan clark is the ultimate hype man
Literally the last person you ever want to play NFL trivia against.
To be fair Rex grew up on football sidelines and watch some of the best football ever from kids to his whole career
Anyone else think Joe Montana? Rex is a football encyclopedias.
I thought it was gonna be a trick question when they said "including playoffs"
Rex Ryan 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
LETS GOOOOOO REX!!!!
STILL UNDEFEATED
At this point they should just name this segment Rex owning Hembo once again
Rex "Thee Encyclopedia" Ryan
Dan "The Man" Marino😤
That title belt isn't going anywhere.
Probably the only trivia question I would’ve gotten right. Had to be too easy for Rex
Did he really say the key is the 1st? 🤣🤣
Bring back stomp the schwab and have Rex do it
GET EM REXXXXXXX
Dan Marino Da 🐐
Happy to say i got this one right haha
Finally I got one right lol
Better streak than the undertaker
I knew that for some reason.
🤣🤣 next!
Can't wait for the start of the football season.
Yeah that was easy even I knew that
Bro I was goin Fran Tarkington all day with Marino as option 2. Pretty easy one compared to some the others they’ve asked
Rex the God
Daddy is home.
this was too easy dan marino has like every passing record
This is TV testosterone.💪💪
Can we talk about how Jeff Saturday copped the Colts HC job rn😭
Hembo you lookin bad dawg
PLEASE!!! I know you guys wont believe anyhting because yall dont. BUT THIS ONE WAS SOOO EASYYYY
to be fair, this actually was an easy one.
Not a big deal, that was such an easy question

Not so fast. Fran Tarkenton had 47k regular season and 1800 post-season yards. That's extremely close and he retired 5 years before Dan was drafted.
@@markula_4040 Tarkenton couldn't lick Marino's cleats
@@bretmaverick9434 I didn't say he could nor was that even the point but thank you for sharing your worthless opinion.

Who is the only quarterback in NFL history to win 3 consecutive regular season MVP's?
Brett Favre

I GOT A LIL SOMETHING FOR YA RIGHT HERE
I don't want to be the 🤓obviously it's Marino guy, but when you think about it he was one of the pioneers of the pass 1st offense
DONT EVEN WATCH THE NFL N GUESSED DAN LOL
This was an easy one.
These are getting easier…
Rex is Hembo’s DADDY.
Man that one was easy
with all due respect to rex ryan and his knowledge, this was easy. if you're of a certain age.
I thought Terry Bradshaw or Marino.
I think everyone above a certain age (maybe 35 or 40?) coulda guessed that one lol
Shout out to the ESPN social media team for spoiling the whole video in the thumbnail… thanks for the suspense
Why did you spoil the answer in the thumbnail tho
Do they tell him the trivia question ahead of time?
They probably tell him the answer
This one was easy.
Darn…. I thought it was John Elway….
If I can get paid to do nfl trivia and celebrate like that. Where do I apply
Dan did during a league where they were run first 🤷🏾♂️only the real knows this
Dan O is tall

So all those QB's before him didn't throw for 50k yards including playoffs? That's shocking.
