- On Day 8 of training camp, the candidates head to AT&T Stadium for the first time, where they’re reminded how much harder things are on the field. And with seven cuts still to go, some veterans could be on the chopping block.

Hundreds audition, but only a select group will secure spots in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders training camp. DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell oversee the intense audition process and decide which hopefuls will make the team.
annabelle took her cut with such grace it was incredible
She was adorable
She reminded me a lot of Brett. Brett didn’t burst into tears or beg to stay like most of the others. She thanked them, said she’s disappointed but understands, and left with grace. Major respect to the girls who handle the situation like this
I hope she comes back next year. I think if she got the full experience she'd make the team especially because of a couple who made the team last year...

You can tell that some of their choices from last season are coming back to bite them in the ass. The same people that they gave undeserved chances to are struggling. I'm shocked Meredith is still on the team. It seems like she learned nothing from a season of dancing with this team.

Agree! I hated their decision to let the extra 2 girls on the squad, and made them compete with the rest of the team each week to perform at the games!! I would have been annoyed with that especially if i had been a standout favorite in camp that season… instead of knowing I earned my spot, every week would turn into an anxiety ridden question mark if I was even going to get to perform!
Also I was confused about why the 36 was such an absolute number considering previous years they would take whatever number of girls deserves to be in the uniform and on that field, whether it was under or over 36 girls… so why couldn’t they just have a permanent squad of 38? 🤷🏼♀️ idk, but I think Meredith and Kat should not have been on this squad and Lili too. Julia should have been there even though her motives for being a DCC were not clear as to if she was just trying to pad her resume or whatever, she was still better than 3 who were put on the squad that I mentioned 🙄. Hopefully it’s rectified this season though 🤷🏼♀️ I love this show regardless I

I’ve watched this show for as long as I can remember, and I don’t think I’ve seen someone take a cut the way Annabelle did. She may not of made the team, but that girl’s personality is definitely going to take her places!

@@ava9706 Meredith did get cut, it's been confirmed. DCC has already performed multiple times and Meredith posted on her instagram, along with the other 3 cut veterans (not including Kat)

True I feel like most of the rookies that season handled their cuts maturely compared to other seasons
have a feeling the reason for that is a lot of dancers in general weren't even employed during this time so just to get an opportunity to potentially be employed and paid for their passion their getting probley the highlight of their year even if they get cut they get to dance
Except for the vets. Hannah and Brennan were HORRIBLE about it. I was shocked

Kat should move back to NC and try out for the Pepsi Storm Squad. While they are a hockey cheer team, they are some of the most popular. They are commonly on tv and we’re the first hockey cheer team in North America if not the entire world
True but at the sam time remember Covid happened so the rookies from last year were not able to do as much games as they usually would they were stuck I. There homes it’s not an excuse but that could be the reason why
No tbh they’re both GORGEOUS girls but they have always been the weaker dancers. I think the DCC have stronger rookie candidates than those two.
@@JennyJ520 I agree. While I think they are good cheerleaders, I don’t think they are good ones for DCC. Also probably not good for the Dallas Stars Ice Girls either because they dance a lot too and they prob don’t know how to skate. Best backup options are other NFL teams, NBA teams or the Carolina Hurricanes NHL team

All the girls who did get cut were so mature about it. It is devastating, but they went out with grace.

the girls who got cut are the sweetest. they compliment the other girls and actually care for them. shows how many friendships are made through this camp
I think moving forward they should continue having the girls live in the hotel/ apartment rooms during the training camp process that way they aren't struggling to find a place, job, but then possibly
leave if they get cut.
They have to work no matter what. They don’t get paid for training they get paid 400$ per game when they make it

I wanna see more of Dani!!! Ever since the video applications she was one of my favorites along with Jada and Armani. Also Marissa will nail training camp!!! :D I think this will be one of the best seasons, the girls are on fire!!

Yes!! Just look at her and you see she has the DCC beauty! Other than that, she's an amazing dancer and has been really consistent on the show. I do hope to see her as future point too! ♡♡♡
You could tell Annabelle's cut really hurt Kelli. She really liked Annabelle from the start. I hope someday Annabelle comes back and makes the team. She could end up being another Madeline S. Annabelle handled her cut so well. Her exit was so classy.
I still think its odd that Meredith even made the team in the first place....
It's cause her boyfriend has connections to the organization and Kelli and Judy were forced

Apparently Merdith's boyfriend knows Jerry Jones (the owner of Dallas Cowboys)and he kind of said / forced them to accept her on the team of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

Its sad that Lily was cut and she made no dance mistakes yet Kat was called the worst in the group and was not cut its kind of biased

it isn’t racism at all. like this was just one episode... you don’t know what happens in future episodes. Kat probably got her crap together and lily might have gotten worse day by day. This was one day in training camp and they are just thinking about the fact of cutting vets at this point and pointed out the worst ones of the day.
neil is my favorite judge he never gives a bad review! even when he doesnt like someone he is not rude about it and they still get a maybe if they are hot lol!

Except for his critique on Maddie. He said in her first season trying out that even with a makeover she wouldn’t basically have the dcc look.He didn’t think she was pretty

After her makeover she did have the DCC look. It was all in the makeup contouring and hair.

It’s sad cause some of the ladies who are getting cut would have longer to prove themselves in a regular year and some of the slacking vets would’ve been cut in finals...but hey I guess this way makes it super clear who is strong out the gate and who isn’t!!! Side note Darian, Armani, Marissa, and Sydney are very impressive>>>>

As someone who works in a hospital with very medically-vulnerable oncology kiddos - thank you for saying it! The face shield is essentially ineffective, even if distancing is practiced. Doesn't really block anything getting in or out, since the sides and bottom are so wide open.
I’m a periodontist and work in an outpatient setting. In this setting her shield is probably fine since it is a large area spaced out, but so often I see people use them instead of masks in public. I know masks are uncomfortable, but they are a necessary evil

@@lejlastark2515 No one there should have it. They were all tested before entering the bubble. Masks only stop you from spreading it they dont stop you from getting it. That is why they are completely isolated from everyone and not allowed to leave training camp. Outside 6ft apart is following the safety rules. And they isolated the judges.

I think the band is loose on a bunch of them so that they can have a mic pack put on them for sound. So then when they don't gave a mic pack it is too big?

Every year there's always one rookie that looks lost and scared when they step onto the stadium for the first time. I imagine that most of them have never been in a building that big before and that can be intimidating. Some of the vets had that same look when they were in there the first time.
As DCC cheerleaders they step into a LOT of uncomfortable and strange places. Being able to adapt quickly is crucial.
Sheridan was lovely. I hope she finds success outside DCC!

Everyone is allowed to have an off day and to have emotions that are not “overjoy” every second of the day. These practices are long and grueling. I’m sure she was exhausted and at the end of her rope. She is human like anyone else!
I also think Maddie was just annoyed with how annabelle was taking her corrections and how many mistakes she was making. As a veteran, it would be very annoying to help out a rookie when they won’t take it seriously

Normally Vets don't get cut from training camp .. it's rare... but there's a couple this year that look like rookies. It's definitely not good.
I remember for times when a vet got cut. Tara in 2018, Hannah W in 2014, Chelsea in 2013 and Kaitlyn in 2011. It is rare but does brings some good TV imo 😂
@@EmVee. just teaches them they can't take it for granted..but they still def have an advantage. Even tho they aren't supposed to. If it were me I would be practicing all my off season making sure Im as I was game day last year, unless I had no plans to return obviously. Some years too there really are some rookies giving them a run for their money! This year Kat and dark hair just blanked on her name, are really falling short which is not a good thing for a vet.
They had made a policy for themselves to avoid letting those vets get past finals but...no finals this year.

My biggest recommendations for any of the girls that get cut is take just enough time off to get over the rejection, and book time with Kitty in her studio to prepare for next season if this is what they really want.

Sheridan tried out for this team, for 2 yrs and this is her 3 time and things did not work out for her. She doesn’t have the routines down at all, she got lost.😢😢😢😢😢

um no. kat absolutely matches their style, she was just a little out of practice this season on their first field day.
I love Kat's personality but I really didn't think she should have made the team.

Notice how all of Hannah’s commentary was all added in later? They never show Kelly actually saying something about her in the moment... it’s all editing to cover the real reason she was cut.
@Mae O'Neill She got cut because of COVID. She got COVID twice. She couldn't stay. They couldn't keep her in good conscience. Her staying in training camp with COVID would be a health risk.
Actually it was Brennan who had Covid twice last year BUT Hannah was cut due to being vocal about the precautions they were taking and how apparently they weren’t following them

I love everyone on the team, but I really dont understand what the team sees in Meredith. people say she had a great season, well I watched videos where she messed up. The DCC does not stand for that in a show setting. I love her and she is a great dancer just not for the high stake world of DCC
