- Having gone through all three versions of the CV Nokton 35mm 1.2 lenses, I think this version 3 is the best, overall very sharp, with smooth bokeh, maybe slightly more vignetting than the previous version, but its the smallest of the bunch. Sierra comes back to Guam Photographer for her second appearance, and we get some amazing shots together, thank you again Sierra!

Great video and a wonderful natural model. I am very interested in this lens so really enjoyed watching. Nice work all of you.
Thank you so much Roy!! :)
Happy New Year, James! m9-p and cv 35 III seems to be a glorious combination!
Happy New Year Tad!! oh yes it is!! Love it!
Looks like an interesting lens. I currently own the Voigtlander 50mm f1.1 and f1.2 and am thinking about a fast 35mm. Thinking of either this or the 35mm f1.4 which is smaller and less expensive as I do not shoot 35mm nearly as often as I shoot 50mm so may not want to invest quite as mush.
I recently just got the CV 35mm 1.4 Nokton Classic MC Version 2, really nice lens.
how was the version 1 of the 35mm? (shown at 3:09 ) i just picked up the ver1 of this lens for my SL. any significant advantage over ver.III or vice versa?
I wouldnt say any significant advantage, other than the size of the lens for the rangefinder, since you are mounting it on the Leica SL it is a good combo, the 1st gen, version 1 is still sharp, the version 2 sharp, slightly sharper, version 3 sharpness the same as version 2 but little bit more vignette and its smaller.
@@GuamPhotography thank you very much for your response, i think i will hold on to my my old 35mm nokton for now, and see maybe i can upgrade to a 35mm Voigt APO? hopeyou could make a review of the voigt apo lenses in case you have your hands on one, and maybe a comparison. 🙏
Love your videos brother
Are the Sony G Master lens better if yes, why? if not, why?
its not what is better, its what you need, because the CV 35mm 1.2 Nokton in this review is Manual Focus, the G master lenses by Sony is autofocus, once you put an auto focus motor in the lens, it because pretty big, this Voigtlander lens is small, but pretty sharp like a G master, when stopped down.
Great Job!!! Thanks!!
You are welcome!!
what's your favorite 35mm lens for environmental portraits? under 1k!
It could be the lens I have now the CV 35mm Nokton Classic 1.4 MC II, it has a nice glow at f/1.4 and stopped down its very sharp :)
