Those first two and a half minutes were hilarious. I found myself laughing like 12 times. First, Nate Tice implying that six coaches are hungover, the Stephen Seagal reference to his dad, and just the way they said Toledo all had me laughing a good amount. Lol

One of the most insightful and informative podcast so far. Excellent guest pairing with film studies/research/backround to base their point and Nate Tice's point about Maye can be substantiated from a trained/untrained eye-Jahns was impressed when he went to see him play. I think the Bears are still leaning towards CW and I like his play as well but there's that feeling I get about Maye like he might be the one who translates well into the NFL, the same way I feel JJM and BN would do well in the pros. The same feeling I got last year about CJS, I did not think he would take off like that with that roster but who ever did say that CJS had bad performance during his testing at the combine last year should be demoted to be a waterboy. Nobody really talks about the talent scouts that the GMs rely on for drafting said prospects.
I thought Stroud looked so good at the combine I wanted the bears to use their pick on him. On top of watching his play of course.

Totally agree about the Bears offensive line still not being that great. If they have any injuries again, they'll be well below average.
Borum would be a serviceable guard as would Carter. I fear about our left tackle. I would love Alt!!! I just don't know if we trade up to get him

I have the Bears at 10 wins minimum, mostly due to the defense. From my evaluation which I’ve been accurately doing for 40 plus years, Williams will not be drafted by the Bears and that’s based off what he does on the field. The best QB rhythm timing and quick progressions is Bo Nix. However, Drake Maye only 21 has to be involved in the conversation. I had Mahomes as 1, he had to be aggressive, but he didn’t accept sacks and he didn’t have fumble related issues.

The Bears actually collapsed in the 4th Quarter three times last year.Lost big leads at the end of games in the 4th Quarter

The Broncos game was right after Eberflus took over the defense and the bears scored zero points in the 4th quarter. The Lions game sucked I’ll give you that. And the Browns game the offense scored 17 points and zero points in the 4th. The offense was a huge issue with this team.
@@tjhnd11the offense scored 10 points against CLE since one of the TDs was on a pick 6. The other TD was an 8 play drive that started at the 1 yard line (also from an INT) Blaming the defense for the loss to Cleveland is legitimately insane 😆

So far, Poles has been better at his job than Eberflus has been. He's also more fun to listen to. More honest, and less clichés. If the Bears win more games this season, it'll start to change.

You guys in media get jaded & dont have the pulse of the fan base. Celeb will work if, he wins & is a "dog" of a player. That's what the fan base of Chicago likes, beyond the casual fans. Justin played tough, thats what the true fans like.
Man, this sounds SO MUCH like all the BS hype from the beginning of last year. We were gonna take the North, we were gonna beat the Pack, Fields was going to be the best QB in the division… blah, blah, blah…
Get a grip please. We have a brand new ROOKIE QB (who’s being set up with impossible expectations), we are installing a COMPLETELY new offense and offensive staff, there are still SERIOUS questions on both lines… and last time I checked the rest of the division was pretty damn good with excellent, established QBs in Detroit and Green Bay.
And yeah, we still have Eberflus… who despite his defensive turnaround and fashion makeover lost us games last year with boneheaded moves…
Reign in it kids. Plenty of reasons to be optimistic… but until we start winning games it’s ALL on paper…

Ricky Williams is a cautionary tale and proof that attitude and commitment matter. If Caleb cares more about his optics than improving as a QB he will fail. It's the one position where maturity and focus matter the most. I fear he will be a bust.

Eberflus will be the downfall of this team, he should have been fored last season after he cost us 4 games. We would have made the playoffs if we didnt lose those 4. Blame justin all you want but , justin isnt calling plays or playing defense. Smh

Yeah, I blame JF1. The play caller got another job with no problem. The QB had hardly any offers even as a backup.
