@@PIZOtvI understand this point of view, but I don’t think their statement was overthinking it. This is one of my favorite shows ever since I was a child, but they way they force bundled and overpriced these items, while not even making them creative is just a big ick. Do I have to buy it if I don’t like it? No. Are epic games allowed to price things at whatever price they want? Of course. Should I be able to criticize them for those choices? Definitely.
With the rarity system gone, epic has more free rein to price stuff at whatever they want. They could price a normally epic skin at 3000 vbucks now, but saying “if you don’t like it don’t buy it” wouldn’t really work. I want to be able to use different characters and items I wish in the game, and epic needs to make money, but that high of a paywall (plus forced scarcity) is definitely unappealing. 2000 vbucks is almost 20 dollars, which is already a little high for an ingame cosmetic, but that price is also much higher in other areas. I feel like I could almost guarantee epic could have made as much of a profit selling these cosmetics as 1500 and added more little details to them.

Why is fortnite a cash grab? You guys forgot all the free stuff Fortnite given you in your locker and a cheap battle pass? Maybe it is just me but I don't see any issue with prices. If that 1200 skin with no back bling was 2000 or 2500 I would understand the complaints or the avatar skins were 3000 vbucks. It is 2000 vbucks for a collab with back bling and a pickaxe. That is fine. So Pizo is upset over 400 v buck difference in Fortnite skin to stop his content? I don't understand this. But ok...
@@letsinvestigateitthe battlepass used to contain 1500 vbucks in 100 levels, now you need 150 levels to get the same amount, they are getting greedy.
@@Sneedseednfeedit used to be 1200 in a pass and we live in a day in where in Fortnite if you able to play every day for at least an hour you can get lvl 200 because gaining xp is very easy. If we had a battle pass to fully unlock like chapter 2 season 2 it would be worse

I got COOKED by a dumbass on twitter because he couldn't understand that items are being overpriced and that Epic removing rarities allow them to increase the price of a skin without having justify it with it's rarity. His only argument was that Epic was already doing that and that the recent change wouldn't impact much. Anyways, twitter, am I right?

As much as I like Avatar this collab is kinda disappointing. The skins are ok but no edit styles? No reactivity? The pickaxes are very basic, I wish this had been done better and the price is crazy. Thanks for speaking out about this stuff, means a lot to see someone do this in the community.

Honestly, start buying what you like, and what you believe is worth it to you. The end of the day you have to stare at your locker. Granted you do what you do for the people who watch, myself included, but at the end of the day do what feels right to you.
They could have made the edit styles there fire nation disguises and for Zuko they should have given him his blue sprite outfit when he saved and for the first time, he has the swords alr🤷♂️

3:25 "They don't really change their clothing all that often in the show" uhh I beg to differ, they change outfits constantly. If not outfits then just hair differences... Zuko could have had 4 different appearances (Zuko Alone look, blue spirit, book 1 look), Katara and Toph could've had their Fire Nation outfits, Katara could've had her look with the hair down, Toph could've had her getup from Day of the Black Sun... tons of possibilities, it's a real shame, they dropped the ball hard on these cosmetics especially for their EGREGIOUS price

I’m so glad you took the stand you did, and definitely don’t feel guilty about your free cosmetics because you fully earned that opportunity.
As far as future content, I think it’s still possible to review content like the Hael skin without buying it and just giving your audience proper reasoning as to why you don’t see the value. At the end of the day, your content has always involved your opinion so as long as that is the constant then there should be no issue with content moving forward.
there were literally some rare grade skins that are objectively better than epic skins, so I personally dont mind rarity level being gone with the descripencies, but I can understand why people are upset

Personally I don't mind the rarities being removed, tbh they felt like the price was choose first AND THEN they choose the rarity. I'm upset because they couldn't have picked a worse time considering they said they would look into ui changes back in December when everyone got mad at them the 1st time, then they go radio silent, and then come back with the removal of something and insanely priced skins. Its just bad timing
Even though the Ciri pack is the same 2000, hers included a glider and some skin effects.
Removing rarities is a way to normalize price gauging since we were able to tie the amount to the rarity.

I think they need selective styles for 1500. A lot of people have stopped buying cosmetics because it’s getting ridiculous. I can’t believe they left Sokka out.

Imagine if they would have made aangs glider from the battlepass not a glider but contrails, so both arms and legs would be touching the pieces on the glider. Many missed opportunity’s again this time. They use two different clothes in the show, one editstyle each would have been doable

One thing that they definitely could’ve done for edit styles is… Zuko with Blue Spirit, Katara with The Painted Lady or second half of season 3 outfit and Toph with Fire Nation Disguise. Also I 100% agree with you built-in element emotes should’ve been with these Avatar: TLA skins because all we have is two for Aang and nothing for the others, hopefully we will get more Avatar: TLA skins in the future which will include element emotes.
The problem with rarities being gone imo is that when you wanted to wear a skins full set you could usually easily find the backbling because it was usually the same rarity as the skin making it easier to find (not completely the same with the pickaxe and glider) but now it’s much harder to find them because they’re all jumbled up with the other items and it get super annoying if you don’t know what it was called either.

Rip Fortnite. Ui, movement , now rarities and pricing. Ive been distant from the game since chapter 5 started. It’s sad bc I’ve played this game since it came out. Over 700 skins. But no more 😢

They should have come with edit styles. Zuko in armor and Toph in metal bender police gear (as seen in legend of korra) would be neat. At the bare minimum they could have added styles for fire nation disguises

Fortnite has a chance to fix this, put emotes in the bundle, change the pickaxes to have the respective elements and possibly even a edit style, give those for free to the people who already bought it, COME ON FORTNITE YOU WHERE ON A ROLE WITH THE IN GAME FEATURES NO FIX THE BLOODY ITEM SHOP
This is my like #1 dream collab so I had to pick up katara and zuko but I didn’t feel great about it. The prices really put a damper on the excitement of the collab

I believe we need these other big partners of epic games like lazarbeam, sypher, courage etc just to name a few to stand up against this just like you Pizo.
If they play the game just for content then it won’t happen, but if they care even a little they should be making videos regarding the same concern with the item shop’s pricing and locker and etc going forward.
The wrap I chose to use with Toph is Golden Ascension. The one for Ascended Midas.
regardless of what videos you decide to make, I think a good deal of your videos will still be watched by us. I will watch each of your videos moving forward. You are one of my main sources of cosmetic reviews and I frequently watch your older videos when trying to decide on a skin but I completely understand. I ended up cancelling my ATLA purchases. The value just wasn't there for this collab. The only way Epic will see this is if we collectively use our purchasing power to get them to not be complacent with cosmetics and their pricing structure.
Epic may say the rarity going away won't effect prices but it feels like it will cause we can still judge based on our previous knowledge of vbuck pricing
Felt the same. Since Donald Mustard left the Company the Game changed everywhere but not in good terms. They do to much but you don’t feel the love that they put in the game before.

I don’t like the price changes they’ve been doing recently, but i absolutely love avatar and Korra so I had to. I didn’t buy the emote though. Also these skins are based off the comics after the war when they’re a bit older which is why most of them are taller than they should be
To this day I still don't understand why Epic didn't release the Avatar bundle with 3 skins for 2,800vb like other similar bundles. If they had done this they could have launched more than one bundle (like iroh+azula). But they were too lazy to even create styles for the skins that would justify the current price.
The ninja turtles bundle, although they are the same 3D model, were certainly skins that took a lot more work to produce (textures and details) than Avatar's and have a better cost-benefit.
only now i realise that a few weeks earlier epic we’re selling marshinobi skin, that also goes with a back bling and pickaxe for 1.6k vbucks. Avatar skin really is overpriced
I agree getting rid of rarities wrong. But, it was Epic that told u what rarity something was. They could just call any skin rare or legendary and price it like that. It should just go by if u like it or not and think its worth it or not. They shouldnt be pissing off the ppl that made their game what it is today tho. Bring rarities back, Epic!

Would’ve been SO much better if they had emotes and pickaxes related to their bending abilities. For example a water whip for Katara, which she used often in the show. Also there’s so many edit styles they could’ve done.(season 1 Zuko, Fire Lord Zuko, Fire nation Katara, Painted Lady Katara, hair down Katara, fire nation Toph) the base skins are fine but it’s just very lackluster.
IMO rarities matter for organization. Made it easier for me to find what I was looking for. Fire review as always regardless.
The whole purpose of me buying skins was like collecting baseball cards. The rarity of them made me at ease with the price point of certain ones. Also the way I felt about the skin. Saw the Toph skin and was thinking about other skins I will hold my Vbucks for.

My personal way of valuing skins: No backbling, Uncommon/800; Comes with backbling, Rare/1200. Comes with backbling AND has reactivity and/or a built in emote, Epic/1500. I don't think any skin should be 2000 anymore, and also I don't take into account styles because most people will just stick with one and run with it anyway. But that's just me. (and also I have to like the skin in the first place, obviously)

I have 450+ skins, I'm done buying skins, its very expensive and recently the skins are not that good too, these Avatar skins are good but very expensive, it's not okay, now I'll just buy skins only if I really really like them , which is rare these days.
I think the price between zuko and goku is very drastically different in terms of value, I would wished that they gave zuko his season 1 style from the show and maybe even with his masked disguised form to go along with his swords but the current price doesn't match at all compared to goku when hes 2k vbucks yet he gets 4 edit styles on all four of his sayan forms. I hope this can be changed to the appropriate price even if rarity gets removed permanently and for good sadly.

I mean I rarely buy new skins and I've waited years for an Avatar collab so I'm buying Zuko, but yeah this is a bad sign of things to come. Also the characters actually do change their outfits/hairstyles pretty often so these were prime opportunities to add additional styles. Styles + bending emotes/pickaxes would've made this a 10/10 collab

the prices are high, that's so true.. but what i think is it is fine for now, becouse peope can get infinite v bucks from save the world daily quests. but i also think that some cosmetics are too expensive. like the some gliders, there is 1,500 v buck gliders. yeah they are really great and cool, but it's too expensive. also SOME pickaxes are 1,500 or more and some of them don't deal that price. well that lama pickaxe (what ever it's called) it is really great, the price is reeally undersandable, becouse it changes his horn when you get kills, has great effects. but some of them look great, but they aren't that different then the other pickaxes, sometimes they sound well. but only for defoulth pickaxe sound 1,500 v buck is too mutch.

Katara, Toph and Aang being tall is super weird, they should've been their adult variants or have a style for adult variants or different outfits. Definitely also a built in bending emote would've been sick if it was the move each nation makes in the intro.

I honestly wanted all of them. Wished they had more edit styles too. But the price is WAY too much. I really love Zuko so I only got him. And it still hurts that he costs this much and him alone. Wish at least he got his masked edit style at least. Wish katara had another style with her fire nation hair down. Even Aang!! Even him, they could've given him his fire nation edit style. Idk something to make it worth it. It's AOT all over again... we didn't get anything with Eren except his season one look. And we didn't even get Armin a huge and important character in the show. Just like Sokka from avatar. He's actually very important. All we get is Sokka's sword? Really... idk I'm just disappointed.

Big fan of Avatar. Watched the original twice it was so good. I have the v bucks and funds to get the purchase but I know I wouldn’t feel good about it. However I do feel good by not purchasing them! I appreciate the content creators speaking up on this as well.
