A couple of notes: That rear cockpit deck is a nice hangout. It's so nice that you will quickly find out how you end up alone on the flybridge while cruising. Also, the main sleeping area is the master bedroom, and your boat style is an Aft Cabin cruiser-not a trawler, as it's a semi-displacement haul. It's better for going a little faster, but it definitely uses more fuel than a trawler.
Have fun. Cheap cottage on the water. If you're going to hang around the marina lots, don't forget to keep your bottom clean. I would try to keep the mechanicals in good shape and take it out regularly. I guess this is obvious stuff. Enjoy your new toy.
LMAO, I just stumbled across your video. I have the 37 Bertram 'Lagertha' out at the end of the dock. I was the guy last weekend that walked by you with the pump-out! Hope all is going well!!
From watching other videos, as long as the structural integrity is good, these older boats present so much more in quality and high end materials - as you say, the newer boats are totally "plastic" looking, in a manner of speaking. Beautiful teak from floor to top is hard to beat!👍
Sundeck Aft cabin motor yacht with semi displacement hull. Looks to be of decent shape. Watch those teak decks and windows. Fuel tanks are the major concern. I live on sailboat but I miss my motor yacht and I’m saving now for my trawler.
Very similar to the mid-80s 36' Mainship double cabin I had years ago, though this seems to have some better finishes. Won't know until see galley setup.
We’re here local too. We took the boat out yesterday. Me and my son, I spent seven hours with my son on the ocean. I caught one fish and had the Time of my life. Go for it dude.
I was going planning on filling in the gaps when I take possession this week, but I’ll give ya the deets. (Watch the vid anyway though please 😁😁) it is a 40ft 1984 marine trader. The raid real teak 👍👍
@@advrob TY👍 I did like & subscribe but if you want to grow your channel you don’t get more than one chance for first impressions. I happen to love older boats, having owned several, so I’m easy & happy to support a fellow enthusiast. I also enjoyed your vid on the Seiko Tuna…👍
@@advrob Yes…I am, or to be more specific I was. I’ve spent the last 12yrs being repaired by the VA after a home invasion. Now I’m rebuilding my business & looking forward to restarting my collection. I wasn’t able to work, pain issues & days w/o sleep, but I was able to survive by selling off my acquisitions…which was almost even more painful.🙁
I know the vid lacks a little information. I plan on doing a follow up when I take possession this week 👍 it’s an 84 marine trader with dual Volvo diesels 👍
Congratulations you are now the proud owner of a large hole in the water which you now will throw money into. Enjoy. Remember the two best days of a man's life is the day he buys his boat and the day he sells it!

🤣 i can totally picture everyone leaving me up there alone! Great notes. Thanks!

All great advice! Thanks 👊

Hahaha that’s awesome! Things are great! We will have to grab some wahoos sometime 😁👍

We actually closed officially today. Just took possession. Ill do a better showing soon👍
Awesome! Congratulations
Thanks!
No AC but doable. CA heat/humidity not so bad offshore unlike Miami etc

That’s an awesome way to spend the day!!
Congratulations you two.
Thanks!!
Congrats…but what year, make, and model did you buy?
Details please.😎

Thanks. The tuna is pretty sweet for sure 👌. Are you a watch guy?

That’s horrible! I’m glad you are making it through and rebuilding. What business are you in?
Congratulations let me know if you need a davit for your dingy when you get one
Thanks my friend
it's a displacement cruiser! not a trawler, a trawler tows a net, your boat displaces the water as it cruises
We've owned 3 trawlers. Never owned a troller.
Not sure what you’re trying to make fun of the typo or the way I speak 🤷🏻♂️
@@advrob I'm sorry. It was a silly comment. Sounded like you were saying troweller. No intent to discount your video. I apologize, it sounds rude now.
No I’m good, I don’t mind a little pokin it’s fun. I just appreciate that you watched and actually left a comment! 😁👍
I wish you’d have had an condition assessment done before you pulled the trigger on it!
What is that? I had 2 surveys done. 1 on the motors and the other on the boat.
Looks like an old Mainship. Engine info? ... it is a MOTOR boat. Also, that room is called the Aft Cabin.

@@advrob Nice. Congrats!
Learn to ride EUC so that you can go anywhere with the boat+EUC combo
I would 100% die on one of those 🤣. They look sooo rad though. Cool way to get from a to b

Yup. I get the same line for my motorcycles and jeeps. Maybe it’s me🤷🏻♂️😁
It's to bad that you are on the wrong coast...
There are soooo many awesome water adventures of the east coast
