- Jobs for military spouses can be hard, especially while stationed overseas. Military spouses are constantly adjusting to new lifestyles, they’re raising kids, taking care of pets, dealing with school, long deployments away from loved ones, and just when you found a job, it seems like it’s time to move to a new location.
So...I created this vlog to highlight some of these unsung heroes and to recognize their military spouse jobs (home based businesses), and to get a perspective on how to find a career that compliments your own passions and skills. As a military spouse myself, I too have struggled with finding a career that gives me fulfillment. If you're a military spouse with specific skills and you're passionate about your craft, I want to encourage you to think outside the box and build a career around the things you're already in love with to hopefully bring happiness and fulfillment to your life while stationed overseas.

Hi! Thank You! I actually had a conversation with HBB the other day. I filmed my entire process of becoming HBB approved to share with all... however... the process is to apply and get approved is about to completely change so I don't want to give out old info. I'm staying in contact with them so that when the new process takes place I'll update my video with details :) I wish you a happy PCS to Vilseck!

Great info thanks!!! How can I find out if it’s best to be a 1099 employee from my current job in the US working remote OR is it better tax wise to be a part time W2 employee. Insurance field.
Hey, if you don’t have the part time job yet, I would hold on to your stateside job and then weigh out the tax differences when you arrive. It’s better to keep your job until you know for sure your pay, taxes, and benefits with a part time job here. I actually just left a German tax meeting for spouses on base so I plan to give out more info on that topic soon 👍🏾
I’ve been In Vilseck for 2 weeks now and everyone has a negative mindset when it comes to this subject. I was selling my handmade crochet items online before I got here and I want to try and do that here but everyone is saying I won’t be able to do it.
Hey! Thanks for reaching out. Ya, spouse employment is a sensitive subject out here, and it's had many changes over the years. However, you can still get your own business started as long as you follow all the local HBB guidance :)
