This was so helpful to watch! Planning to do this hike also and was debating on a guide (I’m an experienced hiker), but this makes me feel better about not going with a guide.
@@Ony22tw I started around here: maps.app.goo.gl/N6QFcWyfhxKMorzcA As far as the trail to take, I used my navigation apps AllTrails / GaiaGPS. There are lots of side trails at the beginning so it's important to have studied the trail and know which way you are going.
I don't know what your standard for "hard" is but it's quite steep, so yes, I would say hard and long. As far as tips, make sure you know the route and have a GPS app on your phone to make sure you are following it. In the beginning there are several points where you could take the wrong trail. Couldn't hurt to hire a guide either.
This is breathtaking scenery friend, truly gorgeous upload.

If you are good at navigation you will be fine. But you’ll have to pay the entrance fee regardless, just a few bucks.
Beautiful

Hey! Is it a hard trail or just long? Any Tips?

How much is it for a guide?
Not sure! But many people in the surrounding villages can point you towards a guide. One man I met said he’d hiked it over 100 times.
Mt Batur is about ~1m IDR, expect about double that for Mt Agung.
